The Emerson Avenger

The Emerson Avenger is a "memory hole" free blog where censorship is scorned. This blog will "guard the right to know" about any injustices and abuses that corrupt Unitarian Universalism. Posters may speak and argue freely, according to conscience, about any injustices and abuses, or indeed hypocrisy, that they may know about so that the Avenger, in the form of justice and redress, may come surely and swiftly. . . "Slowly, slowly the Avenger comes, but comes surely." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

In 1992 I underwent a profound revelatory experience of God which revealed that the total solar eclipse "Eye of God" is a "Sign in the Heavens" that symbolizes God's divine omniscience. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan of the Unitarian Church of Montreal contemptuously dismissed as my "psychotic experience" here: http://revelationisnotsealed.homestead.com - This revelatory religious experience inspired me to propose an inter-religious celebration of Creation that would take place whenever a total solar eclipse took place over our planet. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan and other leading members of the Unitarian Church of Montreal falsely and maliciously labeled as a "cult" here: http://creationday.homestead.com - I am now an excommunicated Unitarian whose "alternative spiritual practice" includes publicly exposing and denouncing Unitarian*Universalist injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy. The Emerson Avenger blog will serve that purpose for me and hopefully others will share their concerns here. Dee Miller's term DIM Thinking is used frequently and appropriately on this blog. More Horace Greeley Quotes For Unitarian*Universalist U*Us To Pay Heed To. . .

Ah! if the Big Fat U*U Pulpit would practice what it preaches, then all would be well.

Big Fat U*U Apathy is a sort of living oblivion.

Common sense amongst Unitarian Universalists is very uncommon.

Go West, young man, and get the corpse-cold Unitarian shoulder from San Francisco U*Us. . .

Unitarian*Universalists aka U*Us are the inferior of any man whose rights U*Us trample underfoot. . .

Rev. Cynthia P. Cain never said all mean people are Republicans; what she said was all Republicans were mean people. . .

The darkest hour in any Unitarian*Universalist minister's life is when s/he sits down to plan how to get money without earning it.

The Big Fat U*U Illusion that times that were are better than those that are, has probably pervaded all ages.

There is no bigotry like that of Unitarian*Universalist "free thought" run to seed.

Nine-tenths of the world is entertained by scandalous rumors, which are never dissected until they are dead and, when pricked, collapse like an empty bladder.

Ease up, the Big Fat U*U Ass*Play is over*.

* Butt it's not *really* over U*Us until The Fat Lady sings "I'm sorry."

The actual Horace Greeley quotations that these Emerson Avenger parody versions were created from may be found on BrainyQuote and Giga Quote.

Yet Another Unitarian Universalist Quote Courtesy Of Horace Greeley - Universalist Journalist, Newspaper Editor, And Social Reformer

Aren't U*Us thankful that I chose not to title this particular Emerson Avenger blog post:

'Horace Greeley Kicks Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein In The Balls'? :-)

So here is the actual Horace Greeley quote, as posted to Rev. Naomi King's Unitarian Universalist Quotes blog -

"Fame is a vapor, popularity an accident, riches take wings, only one thing endures and that is character."

Horace Greeley (Universalist, journalist, social reformer)

And here is The Emerson Avenger's parody of that Horace Greeley quote -

Fame is a "sodomy fantasy", popularity a Big Fat U*U "accident", bitches get songs, only one thing endures and that is character. . .

Passive Aggressive Unitarian Universalists And Rev. Kit Ketcham - What's The Connection?

No I am not suggesting that Rev. Kit Ketcham is a passive aggressive U*U herself here.

Ms. Kitty is actually very much in my good books these days and has been for some time now.

But. . .

Her description of the men she loves (to say nothing of her cats. . .) in her 'I Wanna Get A Dog' blog post is *so* applicable to how passive aggressive Unitarian Universalists behave towards me that I just *have* to cross-post a slightly corrected version of the comment that I just submitted to said blog post -

"They don't understand why I behave the way I do and they refuse to do what I ask, behaving in passive-aggressive ways----mostly by ignoring me or failing to hear me."

Wow Ms. Kitty!

That sounds an awful lot like how rather too many Unitarian*Universalists (including, but by no means limited to, "less than perfect" U*U ministers, UUA Presidents and UUA Trustees. . .) mis*treat your's truly.

I hope you don't mind *too* much if I use your words in a parody Emerson Avenger blog post. ;-)

Rev. Naomi King Kicks Totalitarian Unitarians In The Balls With A Little Help From Brahmo Samaj Reformer And Educator Raja Rammohun Roy

Crazy U*U AssHats Who Have Their Two Faced U*U Heads Jammed So Far Up Their Outrageously Hypocritical U*U Asses That. . .

They Might As Well Be Anally Impaled On Their Own Heads.

Is a "less than polite" way in which I *could* rudely and insultingly (but otherwise quite justifiably. . .) describe the so-called "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog, to say nothing of a certain number of other Unitarian*Universalist U*Us. . . including some "less than perfect" U*U ministers such as Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris, Rev. Beth Miller, former UUA President Rev. Dr. John Buehrens, and current UUA Trustee Rev. Douglas Gallagher etc. etc. etc.

*If* I chose to be as in your face rude and offensive, to say nothing of obscene, vindictive, and even quite sadistic. . .

as one Reverend Doctor Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang.

If anyone wants to engage in a free and responsible search for the Truth and meaning of what shameful two-faced Unitarian*Universalist hypocrisy looks like, they could do so quite nicely by reading the remarkably hypocritical misinformation and disinformation that is quite regularly spouted by the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog, and then responsibly checking the readily verifiable facts behind the highly misleading half-truths, and outright lies, including some rather libelous ones. . . posted on the Robin Edgar Sucks blog.

So what exactly is an "asshat" anyway?

The fact of the matter is that the derogatory and insulting term "asshat" was not one that I was all that familiar with until *the* Reverend Doctor*ed Victoria Weinstein chose the Big Fat U*U Fate of using this derogatory term to disparage and publicly humiliate U.S. state senator Bill Napoli in the same "memory*holed" Peacebang blog post in which Vicki The Impaler publicly aired her Big Fat U*U Sodomy Fantasy which luridly and quite sadistically imagined U.S. state senator Bill Napoli "anally impaled on the Statue of Liberty's torch." In Truth, the (thankfully) inimitable Reverend Doctor Vicki The Impaler stridently "name-called" senator Napoli a "crazy asshat" before going on to misuse and abuse the Statue Of Liberty's torch by *virtually* anally impaling the "less than perfect" senator on it.

Funny how the DIM Thinking U*U Ass*Hats who publish the libelous Robin Edgar Sucks blog Deny, Ignore, and *Minimize* Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein's Big Fat U*U Sodomy Fantasy as being nothing worse than "tasteless" while repeatedly describing my own behavior as "outrageous" and "outlandish" etc. etc. I am confident that most people of intelligence and conscience will agree that Vicki The Impaler's "sodomy fantasy" can be properly described as "outrageous", to say nothing of sadistic and vindictive, and that her *ahem* "outlandish" sodomy fantasy most certainly constitutes unbecoming conduct on the part of ANY clergyperson, U*U or otherwise.

No U*Us?

FU*UI the Urban Dictionary variously defines the derogatory term "asshat" as:

1. One who has their head up their ass. Thus wearing their ass as a hat. Asshat

2. A person, of either gender, whose behavior displays such ignorance/obnoxiousness that you would like to make them wear their own ass as a hat.

4. describing when one's head is so far up one's ass that one is wearing the ass as a hat. in other words, extreme stupidity.

etc. etc. etc.

So essentially, the insulting and derogatory term "asshat" refers to someone whose stupidity and/or ignorance and/or obnoxiousness might cause one to say "they have their head up their ass" or, to more-or-less borrow a phrase from Vicki the Impaler, "they are anally impaled on their own head."

From where *I* stand that means people like Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein herself, the aforementioned U*U "religious professionals", and rather too many other U*Us, including the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog.

And just *how* is/are the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog ever so collectively anally impaled on their own two-faced heads U*Us ask?

Let me count the ways. . .

On second thought let's not, since doing so could turn into a very long and repetitive blog post if I actually took the time to enumerate ALL of the numerous ways in which said crazy U*U AssHats have their collective heads jammed so far up their outrageously hypocritical U*U asses that they might as well be collectively anally impaled on their own heads.

No, let's just stick to one single glaringly obvious *example* of Big Fat U*U Ass*Hattery as posted recently posted to the Robin Edgar Sucks blog for now. . .

In the 'Robin Edgar and the Seven Principles' blog post, which responds to my blog post titled 'Seven Principles Unitarian Universalists Could Be Honouring And Upholding Rather Than Wantonly Disregarding Or Outright Violating And Betraying. . .' this "collective" of U*U Ass*Hats, if not crazy U*U Ass*Hats, say -

"Robin Edgar routinely insults people. He does not merely say he disagrees with them, but calls them ‘stupid’, ‘morons’, ‘asshats’ and other derogatory terms. He even brags that he’s deliberately rude and offensive, and uses outlandish excuses to rationalize such behaviour."

Quite evidently these Big Fat U*U AssHats "just don't get it" aka "they are anally impaled on their heads". . .

I do not "brag" about being "deliberately rude and offensive" nor are the "excuses" that I use to quite reasonably "rationalize" such behaviour "outlandish". Sorry, but I have repeatedly made it abundantly clear to U*Us that, as long as the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations, and its ever so aptly named Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee, happily allow "less than perfect" aka abusive U*U clergy to deeply insult and outright defame me and other people with *ahem* "deliberately rude and offensive" "insulting and defamatory language" and/or other forms of verbal abuse, I will return the favor with some "deliberately rude and offensive behaviour" of my own, more often than not by making the "deliberately rude and offensive" U*U clergy in question, and the UUA and MFC AssHats, oops I mean administrators. . . who have condoned and/or whitewashed their "deliberately rude and offensive behaviour" chow down on their own "deliberately rude and offensive" words with The Emerson Avenger's U*U World famous 'Eat Your Words Diet'. . .

Like so.

And as I am doing right here in this very blog post.

And so it goes. . .

If the "collective" of U*U AssHats who publish the Robin Edgar Sucks blog don't want me to use "derogatory terms" like "asshat", "stupid", and "morons" etc. etc. to describe stupid and moronic U*U AssHats like Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris, Rev. Beth Miller, Rev. Diane Miller and Rev. Dr. John (A For AssHat) Beuhrens, etc. etc. they would be very well advised to prevail upon the UUA and MFC to finally get around to responsibly holding "less than perfect" U*U clergy accountable for using "derogatory terms" such as "crazy asshat", "Son Of A Bitch", and (dare I say it?) "SUCKS", to say nothing of the extremely derogatory four letter word CULT. . .

That's right U*Us, for the umpteenth time. . . my past, present and (most likely) *future* use of a variety of "derogatory terms" to describe certain "less than perfect" U*Us constitutes a form of retributive justice commonly known as "tit-for-tat retaliation" and it is in direct response to the UUA and MFC, the Unitarian Church of Montreal, and Unitarian*Universalist U*Us more generally. . . all too happily allowing verbally and psychologically abusive U*U ministers, or indeed other "less than perfect" U*U leaders such as former Unitarian Church of Montreal Presidents Frank Greene and John Inder, to use the exact same or very similar "insulting and defamatory language" against me and other people (or groups) with complete and utter impunity. The fact of the matter is that every single insulting or derogatory word that I post to this blog is effectively pre-approved by the Unitarian Universalist Association in that the UUA and MFC have, on more than one occasion. . . officially ruled that Unitarian*Universalist ministers can spout whatever "derogatory term(s)", "insulting and defamatory language", or otherwise verbally and psychologically abusive "opinion" they care to spout on the internet or in "real life". On those occasions when I do quite deliberately, indeed more than a little bit *calculatedly*, make use of various "derogatory terms", I am simply holding myself to the exact same shamefully low (if not completely non-existent) standards of behaviour that the UUA and MFC, and Unitarian*Universalists more generally, have so foolishly allowed U*U clergy to set for themselves. . . I dare say that wherever and whenever I feel that it is in*appropriate to do so, I will continue to hold myself to the same shamefully low standards of behaviour that U*U ministers are held to, until such a time as the UUA and MFC officially overturn the unjust, less than equitable, and far from compassionate UUA/MFC rulings that crazy U*U AssHats like Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris, Rev. Beth Miller, and Rev. Diane Miller made to the effect that all manner of deeply insulting and outright defamatory language, or otherwise verbally and psychologically abusive behaviour, is "within the appropriate guidelines of ministerial leadership", or otherwise acceptable behaviour on the part of Unitarian*Universalist clergy.

In short -

As long as Unitarian*Universalists continue to allow their demeaning and abusive clergy, or indeed other U*U "lay leaders" such as U*U church presidents and non-clergy UUA Trustees etc., to verbally defecate all over me and other people I will be subjecting the direct perpetrators, and indirect perpetuators, of these and other U*U injustices and abuses to the same or similar "less than polite" behaviour.

As I am doing right now. . .

It's a version of the Golden Rule called -

Do unto U*Us as they have done unto "others".

Seven Principles Unitarian Universalists Could Be Honouring And Upholding Rather Than Wantonly Disregarding Or Outright Violating And Betraying. . .

The Seven Principles which Unitarian Universalist congregations *covenant* to "affirm and promote" are:

The inherent worth and dignity of every person;

Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;

Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;

A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;

The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;

The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;

Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

Quite regrettably, in my own experience and long-term observation, Unitarian Universalists aka U*Us have repeatedly (indeed quite continuously and even shamefully obstinately) wantonly disregarded the Seven UU Principles and have even outright violated and betrayed both the letter and the Spirit of these Seven Principles, to say nothing of other claimed ideals of The U*U Movement. . .

As I have half-jokingly said many times -

Unitarian Universalists are very good at "affirming and promoting" the Seven Principles but they aren't very good at actually practicing them.

Or, as the dis*Illusioned conservative U*U Joel Monka put it recently in the 'Questioning the moral authority of the UUA and leadership' post of his CU*UMBAYA blog -

"When you think about it, 'Do as I preach, not as I do,' seems to be our motto."

And believe me U*Us, I *do* in fact think about the numerous, and indeed quite shameful ways, in which:

"Do as I preach, not as I do."

is the glaringly obvious actual practice of Unitarian*Universalists in general, and "less than perfect" Unitarian*Universalist clergy in particular. . .

Unitarian Universalists aka U*Us "affirm and promote" "the inherent worth and dignity of every person" out of one side of their outrageously hypocritical mouths while happily allowing intolerant and abusive U*Us, including "less than perfect" U*U clergy such as Rev. Ray Drennan, *the* Reverend Doctor*ed Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang aka Vicki The Impaler, and Rev. Cynthia P. Cain, to say nothing of other "less than perfect" U*U clergy. . . to deeply insult and outright defame people, publicly humiliate people, and/or otherwise verbally and psychologically abuse people.

Unitarian Universalists "affirm and promote" "justice, equity and compassion in human relations" but not only obstinately refuse to actually practice genuine justice, equity and compassion in human relations but even go to considerable lengths to undermine and pervert justice in various ways.

Unitarian Universalists "affirm and promote" "acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations" but hypocritically allow anti-Christian bigotry and broader anti-religious intolerance and bigotry, as well as anti-Republican intolerance and bigotry, to thrive in "Less Than Welcoming" U*U congregations. My formal clergy misconduct complaints about both anti-religious intolerance and bigotry and anti-Republican intolerance and bigotry have been either completely ignored by the UUA, or dismissed out of hand by the UUA.

Unitarian Universalists "affirm and promote" "a free and responsible search for truth and meaning" but U*Us not only obstinately refuse to engage in a genuinely free and responsible search for the truth and meaning of my grievances about various U*U injustices, abuses and hypocrisy; but even seem to be only too happy to tell all kinds of slanderous and libelous lies about me and even tell some perjurious lies in their sworn testimony in court. . .

Unitarian Universalists "affirm and promote" "the right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large" but go to considerable lengths to suppress and deny my own right of conscience and cynically manipulate, or otherwise compromise and undermine the democratic process within U*U congregations. In fact I can make some reasonably arguments to the effect that outrageously hypocritical Unitarian Universalists even compromise and undermine the democratic process in society at large. . . Having me falsely arrested on completely bogus criminal charges that I was rightly acquitted of, in a deeply misguided effort to force an end to my peaceful public protest against U*U injustices in front of the Unitarian Church of Montreal, is but one Big Fat U*U Example of how U*U hypocrites compromise and undermine the democratic process in society at large.

Unitarian Universalists "affirm and promote" "the goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all" but have done little or nothing to sincerely and effectively work towards the goal of peace, liberty, and justice for your's truly and other victims of U*U clergy misconduct and/or other internal U*U injustices and abuses. If Unitarian Universalist U*Us abjectly fail or even obstinately refuse to work towards "the goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all" within the context of the so-called U*U World how can they possibly pretend to "affirm and promote" "the goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all" in the much larger *real* world. Do tell U*Us. . .

Unitarian Universalists "affirm and promote" "respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part" but seem to be blind to just how interdependent and interconnected that "web" really is.

Is Anti-Republican Intolerance And Bigotry Condoned By UUA President Peter Morales And The Unitarian Universalist Association Of Congregations?

Conservative U*U Joel Monka has raised the issue of Unitarian*Universalist anti-Republican intolerance and bigotry in the 'Anti-war, or merely anti-Republican?' post of his CU*UMBYA blog today. In that Joel's blog post pretty much coincides with an ever so Biblical forty days and forty nights since I submitted my formal clergy misconduct regarding Lexington KY U*U minister Rev. Cynthia P. Cain's anti-Republican bigotry to UUA President Peter Morales on Inter*National Standing On The Side Of Love Day I think today is as good a day as ever to remind Unitarian*Universalist U*Us about the apparent complicit silence of President Morales and other UUA administrators. Here is a typo corrected version of the comment that I just posted in response to Joel's sharing of his concerns about U*U anti-Republican bigotry -

Well speaking of anti-Republican U*Us, and the sound of corpse-cold Unitarian silence on certain moral and ethical issues Joel. . .

Please allow me to opportunistically take this opportunity to inform you that UUA President Peter Morales has not so much as provided an acknowledgment of receipt for the formal clergy misconduct complaint that I filed well over a month ago on February 14th, 2011, regarding Lexington KY U*U minister Rev. Cynthia P. Cain's anti-Republican bigotry.

Read it and weep. . .

for the outrageously hypocritical double standards of the U*Us.

How about if *you* send President Morales a follow-up "electronic communication" asking him just how he intends to respond to my formal complaint about Rev. Cynthia P. Cain's bigoted, to say nothing of remarkably catty. . . attack on ALL Republicans*?

* Which would no doubt include any and all remaining Unitarian*Universalist Republicans. . .

Right To Truth Day aka International Day For The Right To The Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations And For The Dignity Of Victims. . .

Is apparently being observed for the first time today if one is to believe this United Nations web site page about 'International Day for the Right to the Truth concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims'.

According to the United Nations, the purpose of Right To Truth Day is to:

• Honour the memory of victims of gross and systematic human rights violations and promote the importance of the right to truth and justice;

• Pay tribute to those who have devoted their lives to, and lost their lives in, the struggle to promote and protect human rights for all;

• Recognize, in particular, the important work and values of Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero, of El Salvador, who was assasinated on 24 March 1980, after denouncing violations of the human rights of the most vulnerable populations and defending the principles of protecting lives, promoting human dignity and opposition to all forms of violence.

end quote

Maybe The Emerson Avenger should do an impromptu protest in front of the Unitarian Church of Montreal to observe International Day For The Right To The Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations And For The Dignity Of Victims.

I know that it was just a Big Fat U*U "Sodomy Fantasy" of Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein to vindictively and quite sadistically imagine U.S. state senator Bill Napoli "anally impaled on the Statue of Liberty's torch", but it seems to me that senator Napoli *could* be perceived as being the victim of a truly *Gross* Human Rights Violation perpetrated by Vicki The Impaler, if only an imaginary one.

No U*Us?

In any case, a day dedicated to promoting "the importance of the right to truth and justice" seems to be very much in alignment with the first, second, fourth, and sixth principles of Unitarian Universalism, is right up The Emerson Avenger's alley as it were.

Allow me to start by simply reminding U*Us what the first, second, fourth and sixth principles of Unitarian Universalism actually say since rather too many U*Us, including but by no means limited to U*U clergy and top level UUA leaders, seem to have all but completely forgotten them. . .

Unitarian Universalist congregations affirm and promote:

#1 - The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
#2 - Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
#4 - A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
#6 - The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;

Why is it that Unitarian*Universalists aka U*Us try so hard to prevent the capital 'T' Truth regarding U*U injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy, including what may be reasonably described as U*U human rights violations. . . coming to light?

Will Reverend Doctor Victoria Weinstein aka Vicki The Impaler Pledge To Never Anally Impale Anyone On The Statue Of Liberty's Torch?

It seems that the ever paranoid, to say nothing of ever strident. . . "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog are now asking if I will pledge to never engage in any kind of physical violence against any and all Unitarian*Universalist U*Us. Considering that I have not engaged in the slightest physical violence against any U*U throughout the whole course of this ludicrously drawn out "war of words", even when being physically assaulted by U*Us myself. . . nor have threatened any U*U with physical violence, even though I have been subjected to threats classified as "death threats" by at least one Montreal Unitarian U*U, it seems to me that the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog might have rather more *reason* to ask Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein, and other violent U*Us, to formally pledge not to engage in physical violence against any and all people of inherent worth and dignity.

After all it is due in no small measure to Vicki The Impaler's own "violent rhetoric and imagery", and the regrettable fact that Rev. Victoria Weinstein's quite sadistic "violent rhetoric and imagery" was all but officially endorsed by imbecilic and incompetent UUA officials such as Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris and Rev. Beth Miller. . . that I decided to take the piss out of U*Us with a variety of parody blog posts that have a certain amount of "violent rhetoric and imagery" in them.

Was is not Rev. Victoria Weinstein who publicly aired the following vindictive, and even quite sadistic. . . Big Fat U*U "Sodomy Fantasy" on her Peacebang blog a while back?

"Here's my sodomy fantasy, senator Bill Napoli anally impaled on the Statue of Liberty's torch!"

Was is not Rev. Victoria Weinstein who blogged about her vindictive desire to kick Leon Hatfield "real hard in the teeth" in the 'Please Pray For This Man' post of her rather less than peaceful Peacedbang blog?

Was is not Rev. Victoria Weinstein who blogged about *actually* aka "in actuality" kicking a delinquent U*U youth in his Big Fat U*U "tushie" *hard*, and not just once but twice?

Allow me to remind U*Us in general, and the remarkably foolish "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog (which, most ironically, may well include Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein herself. . .) what Vicki The Impaler's exact words were with respect to what many people would agree was a somewhat *abusive* act of physical violence against the child of one of her parishioners, as they were posted to her 'But They're SUCH Good Kids' blog post on Friday July 22, 2005 -

As soon as the cop was out of sight I gave Clark the side of my boot in the tushie, hard.

"THAT's for stealing," quoth* I.

And then I booted him again.

"And THAT's for stealing CIGARETTES."

end quote

Please note that Rev. Victoria Weinstein apparently knew perfectly well that she *could* be charged with assault, or otherwise face some accountability, for her *actual* act of physical violence against one of her parishioners' children, and thus made a point of waiting until "the cop was out of sight" before applying a Peacebang's Booty Tip or two to the U*U of the jU*Uvenile delinquent placed under her care by said "cop". I can't help but wonder if a formal clergy misconduct complaint was ever brought against Rev. Victoria Weinstein for this *actual* act of physical abuse against a U*U youth.

So U*Us. . .

In that the delinquent, and indeed quite abusive, U*U minister Reverend Doctor*ed Victoria Weinstein is, by her own very public admission, guilty of "becoming violent in actuality" by kicking a delinquent Unitarian*Universalist youth *hard* in the U*U twice, whereas no U*U has suffered so much as a scratch or a bruise courtesy of your's truly in well over a decade, perhaps the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog, and U*Us more generally, have rather more reasonable grounds to request/demand that Peacebang aka Vicki The Impaler should "pledge to never engage in violent actions against any and all Unitarian Universalists."

No U*Us?

And, in that a number of belligerent and aggressive Unitarian*Universalist U*Us have already been found guilty of engaging in violent actions against me and/or threatening me with potentially lethal violent actions, and have subsequently been subjected to "non-judicial treatment" for their *actual* criminal acts against me, perhaps I have some reasonable grounds to demand that ANY and ALL Unitarian Universalists should pledge to never engage in violent actions against me. . . Not that a variety of Unitarian*Universalist "pledges", not the least of these Big Fat U*U Pledges being UUA Vice President Kay Montgomery's apparently "less than sincere" *pledge* to "bend towards justice" for victims of U*U clergy sexual misconduct. . . have not already proven to be not worth the breath they were spoken with, or the paper they were written on.

So how can I be reasonably expected to "pledge to never engage in violent actions against any and all Unitarian Universalists" when *some* Unitarian Universalists have already engaged in violent actions against me in the past, and may well do so again in the future? I have so far refrained from engaging in any violent actions against U*Us, even when they are *actually* engaged in violent actions against me. . . but the day may well come when I have very little choice but to engage in *some* "violent actions" against a U*U or two in what is commonly known as "legitimate self-defense".

No U*Us?

Am I not allowed to physically defend myself against violent actions perpetrated against me by belligerent and aggressive Unitarian*Universalist U*Us should the need to do so ever arise?

* "Quoth" the stark raven mad Peacebang?

Rev. Scott Wells Asserts That There’s Clearly A Market For The Emerson Avenger And Other People Who Write Critically Of The U*U Movement

But don't take my word for it U*Us. . .

Take the word of Rev. Scott Wells' himself, as just posted to the 'WHAT’S THE MORAL HERE?' blog post of his 'Boy In The Bands' blog:

"I don’t relish a reputation as a crank or malcontent. Still, there aren’t many people who write critically of the Unitarian Universalist Association, and there’s clearly a market. Advice “to say something positive” — it’s happened — when there’s little to be positive about is willful ignorance. But to rail on about what won’t change is a waste of time and energy."

I dare say that Rev. Scott Wells is sounding positively pessimistic these days. . . if U*Us will pardon my use of something of an oxymoron here.

You U*Us see? The Emerson Avenger does not believe that it is a waste of his time and energy to rail on, and on, and on, and on again about diverse U*U injustices, abuses, and Big Fat U*U Hypocrisies of various kinds, because TEA ever so optimistically believes that Unitarian*Universalist U*Us will eventually get around to using their round heads to change their minds, as the Wayside Pulpit saying goes.

Is Rev. Peter Morales The Token Latino Hispanic President Of The UUA?

In a classic example of "pot calling the kettle black" (dare I say Big Fat U*U Pot calling the kettle black?) Rev. Peter Morales, the token Latino*Hispanic President of the UUA, described Sheriff Joe Arpaio's police department with the following words in his The Huffington Post opinion editorial piece aka Op*Ed en*titled 'Handcuffs, Hangman and Jesus: Reflections on My Arrest at the SB 1070 Protests in Phoenix' -

"Except for a few tokens, this is an overwhelmingly white anglo sheriff's department."

Hmmm. . .

It seems to me that, if one simply changed the two final words "sheriff's department" to "religious community", or "fringe religion" or something. . . President Peter Morales aka Rev. Pedro Morales, who is officially billed as "the first Latino president of the UUA", *could* be talking about a certain "tiny, declining, fringe religion" I know of. . .

RE*Imagining St. Patrick's Day As International Get Your Irish Up Day. . .

That's right U*Us.

Inspired by the UUA's 'Standing On The Side Of Love' campaign's reimagining of St. Valentine's Day as 'National Standing On The Side Of Love Day', The Emerson Avenger will be Re*Imagining St. Patrick's Day as 'International Get Your Irish Up Day' tomorrow.

As per my somewhat waggish comment on the Ichabod's Kin blog post en*titled 'The Irish and the Ides: Not Much to Party About', 'International Get Your Irish Up Day' will be -

A day dedicated to publicly expressing your anger about all manner of things including, but by no means limited to. . . the Big Fat U*U Xenophobia of The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™, and perhaps even chasing a few “snakes” out of whatever territory they may be occupying.

Since the inspiration to Re*Imagine St. Patrick's Day as 'International Get Your Irish Up Day' only came to me very recently, I do not expect all *that* much to happen tomorrow, however I will endeavor to make a point of getting *my* Irish up on this blog, and maybe even go after a few Big Fat U*U Snakes while I am at it. I dare say that I just may open a Big Fat U*U Can Of Whoop*Ass on UUA President Peter Morales, and other Big Fat U*U Snakes-In-The-Grass tomorrow. . .

Note to paranoid U*Us who cannot deal with The Emerson Avenger's Big Fat U*U Parody:

No "less than perfect" Unitarian*Universalist U*U will suffer any physical injury aka "serious personal injury offence" as a result any purely verbal "can of whoop*ass" aka "can of wup*ass" aka dressing down that The Emerson Avenger should decide to open on their sorry U*U ass on International Get Your Irish Up Day tomorrow.

Is Rev. Naomi King "Re*Imagining" The Ides Of March As 'Speak Up for Universalism Day'?

Just asking. . .

Labels: , ,

Beware The Ides Of March President Morales. . .

UUA President Peter Morales has published an article in The Huffington Post today en*titled 'What Is Universalism?' In this article President Morales tries to cash in on whatever free publicity for The Tiny Declining fringe Religion that Rob Bell's new book 'Love Wins' might generate. Here is the comment that I posted in response to UUA President Peter Morales' disingenuous self-serving article -

What UUA President Peter Morales *really* welcomes is the free publicity for what he himself quite justifiably describes as "a tiny, declining, fringe religion" that Rob Bell's move towards Christian Universalism could potentially generate for Unitarian Universalism. Contemporary U*Uism has very little to do with bona fide Christian Universalism. Genuine Christian Universalists represent but a teensy tiny portion of the The U*U Movement these days, and they seem quite disillusioned with today's Unitarian Universalism which allows anti-Christian intolerance, and broader anti-religious intolerance, to flourish. In fact Christian Universalist U*U minister Rev. Scott Wells recently blogged that he was giving up Unitarian Universalism for Lent. . .

Rev. Kristin Grassel Schmidt recently wrote -

"The hatred of Christianity seems to me to be the elephant in the UUA’s proverbial room. . . I’m angry at the hypocrisy of an Association of congregations that has largely abandoned its theological traditions."

President Morales has been neither tolerant nor kind in his dealings with me and other victims of U*U clergy misconduct. He most certainly does not always "stand on the side of love". He turns a blind eye to U*U bigotry and other U*U injustices and abuses.

In fact Rev. Morales is a rather intolerant atheist himself. He trashed Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, as "obsolete religions" that "lead to tribalism, violence, suspicion, hatred, and oppression" and "contribute to the darkness" of "hatred, injustice, prejudice, ignorance" in his speech announcing his candidacy for UUA President.

A Free And Responsible Search For Truth And Meaning And Outrageously Hypocritical Unitarian Universalist U*Us - What's The Connection?

It never ceases to amaze me how stunning hypocritical Unitarian Universalists not only obstinately refuse to honor and uphold the letter and the spirit of the fourth principle of Unitarian Universalism, but even go to considerable lengths to prevent other people from engaging in a genuinely free and responsible search for Truth and Meaning. Not to mention the fact that rather too many Unitarian*Universalist U*Us seem only too happy to tell all kinds of Big Fat U*U Lies, or otherwise knowingly and willfully misrepresent the Objective Capital 'T' Truth with various forms of Big Fat U*U Spin. . .

An excellent *example* of this kind of hypocritical behavior on the part Unitarian Universalists was provided this Sunday by a young female member of the Unitarian Church of Montreal as I was engaging in my "alternative spiritual practice" aka "prophetic work" of peacefully protesting against diverse U*U injustices, abuses and hypocrisies in front of this self-described "Unitarian Church". A group of three young men had stopped to ask me about my protest and were asking me a variety questions, including some questions about specific picket sign slogans, which I was answering in my usual truthful and forthright manner. In short, these three young men were actually engaged in a free and reasonably responsible search for the truth and meaning of my protest in general, and my picket sign slogans in particular, when a young female Montreal Unitarian Universalist U*U marched up to us and issued the following "command" to these three young men -

"Don't listen to this guy. He's been protesting (against) our church for 20 years or so."

So. . . as I soon pointed out to this not so bright young U*U hypocrite.

She made a mockery of the fourth principle of Unitarian Universalism by telling these three young men not to listen to me. She effectively told these men to cease and desist from the free and reasonably responsible search for truth and meaning that they were engaged in prior to her interruption of our conversation. Above and beyond *that* flagrant disregard for the fourth principle, this Montreal Unitarian U*U Youth told a Big Fat U*U Exaggeration aka a Big Fat U*U Falsehood in telling them that I had been protesting in front of the Unitarian Church of Montreal for "twenty years or so". . . The readily verifiable Objective Truth about my conscientious objection to U*U injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy in the form of peaceful public protest is that the thirteenth anniversary of what one U*U minister calls my "alternative spiritual practice", and I like to call my Sunday Constitutional, is coming up in a couple of months. So this young U*U had added about 50% to the number of years that I have been publicly protesting.

The Montreal Mirror article about the beginning of my peaceful public protest in front of the Unitarian Church of Montreal not inappropriately titled 'Spitting In God's Eye' was published in June of 1998, just a few weeks after I initiated what another respected Unitarian Universalist minister recently called my "prophetic work". Little did I know at the time just what a Big Fat U*U Protest my "alternative spiritual practice" of going to church *outside* of the so-called Unitarian Church of Montreal would become. . . When I first began protesting I expected the protest to last a few weeks, or at worst a few months, before Montreal Unitarians came to their senses and changed their ways. I had no idea just how extraordinarily stubbornly Montreal Unitarian U*Us, and Unitarian Universalists more generally, would resist responsibly confessing to their glaringly obvious sins of commission and sins of omission, and then seeking reconciliation with me. Talk about "a stiff necked and stubborn people". . .

So the sad fact of the matter is, that even if my peaceful public protest against U*U injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy had in fact been going on for twenty years as this young woman alleged, that would in no way diminish the Truth and Meaning of my protest and only serve to very publicly *demonstrate* what an incredibly pigheaded group of people Montreal Unitarians are.

Needless to say I challenged this hypocritical U*U youth's assertion by saying -

"Twenty years? You're funny. Isn't a free and responsible search for truth and meaning one of your principles?"

To which she responded -

"It is."

I then asked -

"Have you looked into why I am here?"

You tell these guys not to listen to me. That is in direct contradiction to your principle about a free and responsible search for truth and meaning. These guys are actually engaging in a free and responsible search for truth and meaning. They're asking you questions. So you're being a hypocrite when you tell them not to listen to me."

To which see quite promisingly responded -

"Fair point."

One of the young men then asked her -

"What do you believe in?"

To which she responded -

"We believe in the Seven Principles."

Upon which I said -

"One of which she made a mockery of."

To which she responded -

"OK I'm sorry, that's a fair point."

Imagine that U*Us!

A Montreal Unitarian Universalist not only responsibly acknowledging that I actually had "a fair point" in accusing her of disregarding and/or violating the fourth principle of The U*U Movement but even uttering that magic phrase -

"I'm sorry."

More on this later. . .

Rev. Kristin Grassel Schmidt Of King's Chapel Boston Gives Anti-Christian And Anti-Theist U*U Hypocrites Hell For Lent. . .

That's the Spirit Kristin! :-)

"The hatred of Christianity seems to me to be the elephant in the UUA’s proverbial room; the UUA pays significant lip service to our corporate need for nurturing and healing, but does little to actually promote the kind of targeted healing so many of our ex-Christian seekers seemingly need."

"Faced with the suffocating reality of not only anti-theism and anti-Christianity but also ageism and sexism in our Association at large and even among my ministerial colleagues, I have often found myself in an emotional desert. I’m angry at the hypocrisy of an Association of congregations that has largely abandoned its theological traditions."

The rest of Rev. Kristin Grassel Schmidt's "rambling stream-of-consciousness response" to Rev. Scott Wells' 'GIVING UP UNITARIAN UNIVERSALISM FOR LENT' blog post may be read here.

And I do recommend that U*Us would be well advised to read it and then respond in responsibility to the Spirit that bloweth where Rev. Kristen's "rant" listeth. . .

The Ministerial Fellowship Committee Rules aka MFC Rules Are In Need Of A Major Overhaul

But don't take my word for it U*Us.

Take the word of representatives of the UUA's very aptly named Ministerial Fellowship Committee itself, as stated in the MFC's own official report to UUA Trustees during the October 2006 UUA Board Of Trustees meeting(s) well over four years ago. . .

At least in-so-far as was reported by UU clergy misconduct victims' advocate uugrrl in the 'Do or Do Not: a Chronology of UUs Addressing Clergy Misconduct'* post of her 'Speaking Truth To Power' blog, as archived on the UU Safety Net website -

Oct. 2006: The MFC Report to the Board said it “met … with UUA attorney, Kay Hodge, and Beth Miller, the new Director of the MPL, to talk about a number of on-going complaint cases and MFC rules and policies in responding to them. It was agreed that a major overhaul of MFC rules is needed.”

The MFC Report to the Board in question here *was* originally posted to the following URL on the UUA website and linked to in the aforementioned blog post but it seems to have been "memory holed" by the UUA -

http://www.uua.org/TRUS/oct06/C6-MFC.pdf

I can't help but notice that the vast majority of the the online UUA documents that were linked to in this blog post about the UUA's are no longer available to be viewed at the URLs originally linked to.

I did manage to find the UUA's 'Resolution Toward Safe Congregations and Right Relations' at this new URL -

http://www.uua.org/socialjustice/socialjustice/statements/14255.shtml

Restorative Justice for All - Unitarian Universalists Responding to Clergy Sexual Misconduct remains at the original URL.

Here is a new UUA website location for the Safe Congregation Handbook which would appear to make most if not all of its text available online free of charge.

More later. . .

Ash Wednesday And UUA Repentance For The UUA's Negligent And Complicit Mishandling Of Clergy Misconduct Complaints - What's The Connection?

The following follow-up email was just sent to UUA President Peter Morales.

He totally ignored the previous emails that this follow-up email forwards to him so it will be interesting to see if President Morales continues to turn a blind eye to the UUA's past and ongoing mishandling of clergy misconduct complaints -

An Ash Wednesday Reminder About UUA Repentance For UU Clergy Misconduct

Wednesday, March 9, 2011 1:09 PM

From: "Robin Edgar"

Ash Wednesday March 9, 2011

Dear President Morales,

The emails copied below were sent to you over a year ago now, but I see no evidence whatsoever of you responding to those emails in a manner that even comes close to genuinely honoring and upholding the claimed principles and purposes of the Unitarian Universalist religious community. Since you apparently disregarded and ignored the serious concerns that I shared with you in these emails, perhaps you should read them again (assuming that you even bothered to read them when they were originally sent to you) and respond to them in a rather more responsible manner than you have to date.

You know what they say President Morales -

"If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem."

Be assured that in light of your own personal negligence in response to my sharing of my legitimate concerns about UU clergy misconduct of various kinds, including but by no means limited to your recent failure to respond in responsibility to my February 14th, 2011 email in which I filed a formal clergy misconduct complaint about Rev. Cynthia P. Cain's anti-Republican bigotry with you, as well as the past and apparently ongoing negligent mishandling of diverse clergy misconduct complaints by the UUA and its very aptly named Ministerial Fellowship Committee, I have little choice but to consider you to be a part of the problem of the UUA's ongoing mishandling of clergy misconduct complaints.

Maybe you should give up turning a blind eye to the UUA's past and ongoing mishandling of my own and other people's clergy misconduct complaints for Lent, and respond in genuine responsibility to the letter and the Spirit of my previous emails to you in a manner that genuinely honors and upholds UU principles that call for respect for the inherent worth and dignity of *every* person, as well as justice, equity and compassion in human relations, rather than behaving in a manner that I believe most people will agree not only disregards, but outright flaunts, those purported principles of Unitarian Universalism.

Sincerely,

Robin Edgar

Ash Wednesday February 17, 2010

Dear President Morales,

As you are no doubt aware today is Ash Wednesday, a day dedicated to repentance of sins of commission and sins of omission. I am going to forgive your sin of omission of apparently failing, if not refusing, to stand on the side of love of victims of UU clergy misconduct during the first observance of 'National Standing on the Side of Love Day' last Sunday, and I will also forgive you for failing to provide the acknowledgement of receipt of the email that I sent to you over two weeks ago now asking you to take steps to ensure that the UUA repents of its sins of commission and sins of omission in its past, if not present and ongoing, dismissive and negligent responses to all kinds of clergy misconduct complaints. I will none-the-less take this opportunity to remind you that only yesterday Pope Benedict XVI called upon Roman Catholic bishops to give priority to "restoring the Church's spiritual and moral credibility" with respect to clergy sexual misconduct on the part of Roman Catholic clergy and will ask you when you will begin the process of restoring the spiritual and moral credibility of the Unitarian*Universalist religious community with respect to ALL forms of clergy misconduct, both clergy sexual misconduct and non-sexual forms of clergy misconduct?

I believe that the suggestions that I made in my email of Tuesday February 2nd are quite reasonable, and fully compatible with the purported principles and claimed ideals of the Unitarian Universalist religious community. I see no valid reason why you should not respond positively to my requests, or indeed my reasonable demands, for the UUA to stand on the side of love for ALL victims of ALL forms of UU clergy misconduct and to finally begin to provide some genuine and tangible restorative justice for ALL victims of clergy misconduct that has been directly perpetrated by UU ministers and indirectly perpetuated for years (and even decades) by the unjust, unfair, and uncompassionate dismissive and negligent responses to numerous clergy misconduct complaints by past and current UUA administrators.

While I realize that dealing with the UUA's shameful legacy of negligent, and effectively complicit, responses to all kinds of clergy misconduct complaints is an unpleasant task that your predecessors as UUA President could have (and should have) responsibly dealt with years ago, it is an unfortunate fact of life that they have repeatedly failed to do so in a genuinely just, equitable, and compassionate manner that respects the worth and dignity of victims of clergy misconduct and honors and upholds UU principles and ideals. In fact last year I asked one of the UUA's clergy misconduct experts what restorative justice the UUA had provided to victims of clergy misconduct since promising to do so about a decade ago at the 2000 UUA GA in Nashville Tennessee and their answer was one single four letter word -

"None."

Even if this blunt negative assessment is something of an overstatement, something that I am not convinced is the actually case, there is very little evidence of the UUA providing any restoratve justice to victims of clergy misconduct in the last decade to say nothing of before it. . . If some bona fide restorative justice has in fact been done by the UUA it certainly has not been seen to be done since the UUA's official apology in 2000. So I must once again ask you to make it a very high priority for the UUA to publicly repent of its numerous sins of commission and sins of omission in terms of its past (if not current and ongoing) negligent or inadequate responses to clergy misconduct of all kinds, and to ensure that genuine and tangible restorative justice for ALL victims of UU clergy misconduct is not only finally done by the UUA, but is very publicly seen to be done in the first year of your presidency.

Please do not persist in the sin of omission of failing or refusing to respond to my emails in a timely and responsible manner. If I do not receive an adequate response from you within the next week or two at the very latest I will have little choice but to conclude that you not only refuse to stand on the side of love for me and other victims of UU clergy misconduct but are a knowing and willful participant in the egregious marginalizing institutional stonewalling and denial that I and far too many other victims of UU clergy misconduct have been subjected to by the UUA and implicated UU churches for years and even decades.

Although I had not thought of this idea until today, perhaps you could devote an hour or two per day to this important issue for at least the next 40 days as a kind of Unitarian Universalist Lenten practice. The mid-March Ministerial Fellowship Committee meeting, and the upcoming UUA Board of Trustees meeting in April, could be (and I believe should be) largely devoted to a genuinely repentant self-assessment of the UUA's and MFC's sins of commission and sins of omission in terms of their past (if not ongoing) dismissive and/or negligent and/or inadequate responses to ALL kinds of clergy misconduct complaints. An official apology to victims of non-sexual forms of clergy misconduct is long overdue and I personally believe that the UUA should deliver such an official apology at the 2010 UUA General Assembly this June.

Sincerely,

Robin Edgar

Dear President Morales,

I sent you the email copied below on Tuesday February 2nd just over a week ago. I would appreciate it if you could acknowledge receipt of this email and let me know if you intend to stand on the side of love for ALL victims of UU clergy misconduct on National Standing On The Side Of Love Day this Sunday February 14th. I can wait another week or so for a more detailed response to this email but want to be sure that you received it and read it.

As I said in my P.S. I will be sending you a follow-up email asking you to take steps to ensure that the UUA conducts a complete review of my clergy misconduct complaints against Rev. Ray Drennan and Rev. Victoria Weinstein which I believe were handled in a dismissive and negligent manner by the UUA and MFC. Perhaps you can take initial steps as far as that is concerned by ensuring that the whole Ministerial Fellowship Committee, not just its executive, responsibly reviews how my clergy misconduct complaints were handled by Rev. Diane Miller, Rev. Beth Miller and Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris and other UUA administrators at the upcoming Ministerial Fellowship Committee meeting in mid-March. Regardless of whether or not the UUA issues an official apology to all victims of non-sexual forms of clergy misconduct I beluieve that the UUA owes me a long overdue apology for its negligent and effectively complicit responses to my complaints against Rev. Ray Drennan and Rev. Victoria Weinstein.

Dear President Morales,

I would like to invite you to publicly stand on the side of love for all victims of clergy misconduct committed by Unitarian Universalist ministers on “National Standing on the Side of Love Day" Sunday, February 14th, 2010. Almost a decade ago, at the 2000 UUA GA in Nashville, Tennessee, the UUA officially apologized to victims of clergy sexual misconduct committed by UU ministers. I am not however aware of any official UUA apology ever being delivered to victims of non-sexual forms of clergy misconduct committed by UU ministers. I believe that the UUA owes a long overdue official apology to all victims of non-sexual forms of clergy misconduct, and that the UUA should also deliver individualized personal apologies to each and every victim of any form of clergy misconduct perpetrated by UU ministers, especially those people whose clergy misconduct complaints were negligently and irresponsibly dismissed, or otherwise handled in an unjust, inequitable, and "less than compassionate" manner, by the UUA and MFC over the last few decades.

You are on record as saying that you are "absolutely committed to doing the right thing" when it comes to taking action on clergy sexual misconduct, and that taking action is a "moral imperative." I put it to you that taking responsible action on non-sexual forms of clergy misconduct is equally a moral imperative or moral obligation, and I call upon you to fully commit yourself to doing the right thing in response to all forms of clergy misconduct committed by UU ministers. The fact of the matter is that some of the more serious cases of non-sexual clergy misconduct can be every bit as harmful and damaging to victims and implicated UU congregations as some cases of clergy sexual misconduct.

The tacit or explicit attitude towards non-sexual clergy misconduct that I have seen displayed by too many UUA administrators, and UU clergy more generally, is that if the clergy misconduct complained about is not sexual misconduct it is not worth worrying about, let alone doing anything to responsibly address it in a manner that genuinely honors and upholds the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism, or indeed the letter and the spirit of the UUMA Guidelines and Code of Professional Practice. This attitude is not acceptable to me nor do I believe that it should be acceptable to any Unitarian Universalist who genuinely cares about UU principles and ideals.

I will not go into the details of my own complaints about non-sexual clergy misconduct that involve being deeply insulted and defamed, and unjustly demonized and marginalized, by verbally and psychologically abusive UU ministers in this letter, but I feel that it is necessary to point out that it is a regrettable fact of life that victims of any form of clergy misconduct often find themselves ostracized, and even additionally demonized and marginalized, by their fellow congregants and coreligionsists after they have dared to openly complain about clergy misconduct, regardless of what form of clergy misconduct they complain about. This unacceptable treatment of clergy misconduct "whistleblowers" needs to be responsibly acknowledged and addressed by the UUA in any new official apology that it delivers to victims of clergy misconduct.

I also believe that the UUA needs to responsibly acknowledge at the 2010 UUA GA that it has failed to honor its year 2000 "pledge" to "bend towards justice" and remedy its past failures to respond to clergy misconduct in a manner that lives up to UU principles and ideals, to say nothing of clearly stated UUA bylaws and policies. I dare say that the UUA and MFC seem to be more inclined towards bending justice than bending towards justice. This is certainly true of my own case which involves non-sexual forns of clergy misconduct, but I expect that it is true of other cases of clergy misconduct of all kinds which have occurred since that official UUA apology was delivered at Nashville by UUA Executive Vice President Kay Montgomery.

I and other victims of UU clergy misconduct are still being "left lonely, confused, afraid, angry and betrayed" and definitely capital 'U' Un-ministered to by the UUA, its Ministerial Fellowship Committee, and implicated UU congregations, in the aftermath of that apology. This status quo is not acceptable and must be acknowledged and responsibly remedied by the UUA. It is high time that the UUA finally got around to providing some genuine and tangible restorative justice for ALL victims of UU clergy misconduct, both victims of clergy sexual misconduct and victims of non-sexual forms of clergy misconduct.

After publicly "Standing On The Side of Love" for ALL victims of UU clergy misconduct on “National Standing on the Side of Love Day" this February 14th, I would ask that you to then take steps to ensure that providing genuine restorative justice for ALL victims of UU clergy misconduct is on the agenda of the Ministerial Fellowship Committee meeting in mid-March 2010 and that this MFC meeting leads towards the goal of a new official UUA apology to be delivered to victims of non-sexual forms of clergy misconduct, or indeed all forms of clergy misconduct, at the 2010 UUA GA in Minneapolis Minnesota.

Sincerely,

Robin Edgar

P.S. I will be asking you to initiate a complete review of my own clergy misconbduct complaints in a follow-up email.

First Parish Norwell Unitarian Universalist Church Has Wife-Beaters, Alcoholics, Liars, Cheaters, Adulterers and Big Fat U*U Failures

Amongst its parishioners, to say nothing of its U*U clergy. . .

But don't take my word for it U*Us.

Take the word of Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang aka Vicki The Impaler as written in an email that she sent to me some years ago, Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 11:42 PM to be precise, *expecting* aka demanding that I not post the name of the incestuous U*U rapist of preteen girls Richard Buell, or discuss his criminal trials and other tribulations, on The Emerson Avenger blog or anywhere else for that matter.

"We also have wife-beaters, alcoholics, liars, cheaters, adulters (sic) and failures in our churches. Certainly in mine we do. I don't write about the people in my church specifically because my PeaceBang blog isn't part of my parish ministry but commentary about life in general, UUism in general, and cultural events and trends that interest me (and fashion, of course!). I don't post their names or discuss their trials and tribulations specifically, and I expect you not to, either."

Obviously Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein's not so great expectations of your's truly were less than well-founded (to say nothing of less than well-advised. . .), as The Emerson Avenger did in fact post the name of Big Fat U*U Pedophile Rapist Richard Buell to The Emerson Avenger blog, and publicly discussed his criminal trials and tribulations specifically, soon after receiving that "electronic communication" from "LunaDiva" which confirmed beyond any reasonable doubt that the anonymous "SMALL TOWN PASTOR SERVING AN HISTORIC NEW ENGLAND UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CONGREGATION" known U*U World-wide as Peacebang was in fact Rev. Victoria Weinstein, the "less than perfect" minister of First Parish Norwell Unitarian Universalist Church in Massachusetts. . .

So why am I posting that little snippet of Rev. Victoria Weinstein's poorly advised "electronic communication" to The Emerson Avenger here and now U*Us?

Well it is because I long ago warned U*Us that, as long as they continue to tell Big Fat U*U Lies about your's truly, I will respond to those U*U lies by telling some rather embarrassing Big Fat U*U Truths about diverse U*U injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy. And yes. . . the "collective authorship" of the 'Robin Edgar Sucks' blog have been telling a bunch of lies about me lately, most notably the lie that I have repeatedly accused the UUA of covering-up and hiding the clergy sexual misconduct of Rev. Mack Mitchell which also involved the forcible rape of minors, albeit not prepubescent minors, as was the case with Rev. Victoria Weinstein's parishioner Richard Buell. I am very confident that a genuinely free and *responsible* search for the truth and meaning (or lack thereof. . .) of the recent 'Robin Edgar Sucks' blog post titled 'How Robin Edgar Defamed The UUA' will reveal that I have not in fact -

repeatedly alleged that the UUA and its Ministerial Fellowship Committee engaged in a ‘cover-up’ regarding sexual assault charges against Reverend Mack Mitchell in 1991.

In fact I hereby publicly challenge the "collective authorship" of the 'Robin Edgar Sucks' blog to produce a single scrap of evidence which supports their own rather dubious allegation(s) about my alleged allegations about a UUA and MFC cover-up of Rev. Mack Mitchell's clergy sexual misconduct which included, but probably was not limited to, the forcible rape of teenage Tibetan refugees who he had brought to America for a "better life". . .

Here, I will even help U*Us out in their free and responsible search for the capital 'T' Objective Truth by providing some pertinent Google searches which *should* find any online evidence of your's truly alleging "that the UUA and its Ministerial Fellowship Committee engaged in a ‘cover-up’ regarding sexual assault charges against Reverend Mack Mitchell in 1991" *IF* such allegations exist on the internet at all. . .

"Robin Edgar" Mack Mitchell UUA cover-up

"Robin Edgar" Mack Mitchell UUA cover-up (Google Groups search)

A less restricted aka more *free* search in Google will not find any more evidence supporting the allegations of the "collective authorship" of the 'Robin Edgar Sucks' blog -

"Robin Edgar" Mack Mitchell

"Robin Edgar" Mack Mitchell (Google Groups search)

Feel free to responsibly undertake any number of other Google searches that *might* find evidence of The Emerson Avenger even once *falsely* accusing the UUA and/or MFC of engaging in covering-up of the egregious U*U clergy sexual misconduct of Rev. Mack Mitchell, let alone "repeatedly" doing so. . .

That being said, I have no qualms at all about publicly acknowledging here and now that I have quite truthfully accused certain individual Unitarian*Universalist U*Us, including one or more "less than perfect" U*U ministers, of covering-up and hiding Rev. Mack Mitchell's clergy sexual misconduct by deleting, or refusing to publish, my comments about it on their blogs etc. I am only too happy to acknowledge that I very truthfully accused U*U BDSM Dom Desmond Ravenstone of "memory holing" a comment about Rev. Mack Mitchell's own "less than safe", "less than sane" and "less than consensual" version of U*U BDSM aka U*U Bondage & Domination, Sadism & Masochism that I had posted to Desmond Ravenstone's blog. I made this accusation just over a year ago on Woden's Day, February 17, 2010 in a TEA blog post titled 'U*U BDSM Dom Desmond Ravenstone Gets A Tongue Lashing For His Pro-BDSM U*U BS Courtesy Of The Emerson Avenger'.

Here is the pertinent part of that blog post -

BTW I have not forgotten how you have tried to cover up and hide a certain unmentionable UU minister's illegal, indeed criminal, "less than right" relations with teenage Tibetan refugees who he had lured to his UU parish which involved "less than safe" "less than sane" and "less than consensual" bondage, domination, sadism, and forced sexual submission. So please spare me your pro-BDSM propaganda about how "safe, sane, and consensual" BDSM is.

So yes U*Us, I have in fact publicly accused Mr. U*U BDSM aka Desmond Ravenstone of covering-up and hiding Rev. Mack Mitchell's clergy sexual misconduct but, the last time I checked, Desmond Ravenstone was neither on UUA staff nor a fellowshipped Unitarian*Universalist minister.

Right?

And getting back to Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang. . . She did in fact similarly memory-hole comments that I had posted regarding U*U clergy sexual misconduct, including some comments mentioning Rev. Mack Mitchell's forcible rape of teenage Tibetan refugees, on her typically strident Peacebang blog post about Roman Catholic clergy sexual abuse titled -

'Violating The Privacy Of Mind And Body'

Most ironically it was Peacebang's very poorly advised decision to "memory hole" my comments about U*U clergy sexual misconduct in general, and Rev. Mack Mitchell's egregious clergy sexual misconduct in particular, that caused me to decide to try to "out" the anonymous U*U minister who blogged under the pseudonym Peacebang. It was actually in the process of engaging in a free and responsible search for the identity of the anonymous U*U minister blogging as Peacebang that I came across a notice in the newsletter of First Parish Nowell Unitarian Universalist Church about a special congregational meeting being held at said "HISTORIC NEW ENGLAND UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CONGREGATION" to discuss the recent conviction of one Richard Buell.

The fact that this special meeting regarding a criminal conviction was presided over by Rev. Deborah Pope-Lance, who is a specialist in clergy sexual misconduct matters within The U*U Movement, caused me to suspect that Richard Buell might be yet another Unitarian*Universalist minister convicted of some kind of sex crime. A free and responsible search for the truth and meaning of who Richard Buell was, and what he had actually been convicted of, quickly proved that he was not a "less than perfect" Unitarian*Universalist minister but none-the-less a parishioner in the church of the U*U minister who was my "Suspect Number One" for being the "small town pastor" known as Peacebang. Minutes after I posted a comment on Peacebang's 'Violating The Privacy Of Mind And Body' blog post regarding the "less than perfect" parishioner of her (nudge nudge wink wink) "colleague" Rev. Victoria Weinstein I received the email from Rev. Weinstein which I have quoted from above which not only confirmed that she was indeed Peacebang, but made it clear that she *expected* me to keep quiet about her child-raping parishioner Richard Buell.

And the rest is U*U history that has made First Parish Norwell Unitarian Universalist Church an even more "HISTORIC NEW ENGLAND UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CONGREGATION" than it ever was before. . .

No U*Us?

Why Do Unitarian*Universalists Happily Allow Outrageously Hypocritical U*U Religious Leaders To Mis*Use Police Force To Silence *My* Dissent?

Just asking, as they say. . .

Here is the comment that I just submitted to the Standing On The Side Of Love Campaign blog post titled 'Immigrant Rights Organizer Banned from AZ Capitol'

"In the United States, we can’t let any political leader use police force to silence dissent."

Really?

Then why are Unitarian*Universalists all too happy to turn a blind eye to the hypocritical U*U religious leaders of the Unitarian Church of Montreal using the Montreal police force (and misusing and abusing the Canadian Criminal Code. . .) to silence *my* peaceful public protest against U*U anti-religious intolerance and bigotry, U*U clergy misconduct, and other U*U injustices and abuses?
