In 1992 I underwent a profound revelatory experience of God which revealed that the total solar eclipse "Eye of God" is a "Sign in the Heavens" that symbolizes God's divine omniscience. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan of the Unitarian Church of Montreal contemptuously dismissed as my "psychotic experience" here: http://revelationisnotsealed.homestead.com - This revelatory religious experience inspired me to propose an inter-religious celebration of Creation that would take place whenever a total solar eclipse took place over our planet. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan and other leading members of the Unitarian Church of Montreal falsely and maliciously labeled as a "cult" here: http://creationday.homestead.com - I am now an excommunicated Unitarian whose "alternative spiritual practice" includes publicly exposing and denouncing Unitarian*Universalist injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy. The Emerson Avenger blog will serve that purpose for me and hopefully others will share their concerns here. Dee Miller's term DIM Thinking is used frequently and appropriately on this blog. Unitarian Universalism Has A Big Fat U*U Clergy Sexual Misconduct Problem. . .
But don't take *my* word for it U*Us, take the word of UU World contributing editor Kimberly French, as published in a recent UU World article about Unitarian Universalism's Big Fat U*U Clergy Sexual Misconduct Problem in the Winter 2014 edition of UU World magazine titled -
Reforms take aim at clergy misconduct
In these two quite revealing paragraphs -
Unitarian Universalism has its own problem. We have even had our share of media scandals. Clergy sexual misconduct — ministers who have sexual relationships with their parishioners — has damaged individuals, families, whole congregations, and Unitarian Universalism’s credibility.
How widespread is the problem? There’s no way to know. But the Rev. Deborah Pope-Lance, whose research and consulting has focused on the impact of clergy misconduct on UU congregations for the past thirty years, believes most congregations have been affected by it. “As many as two-thirds of our congregations have been served in living memory by a minister known to have engaged in sexual misconduct there or elsewhere,” she said. “At first I said that timidly because we can’t imagine our ministers would do that, but now we know they can and have.”
I have previously blogged about how UU clergy sexual misconduct expert Rev. Deborah Pope-Lance has spoken about how a group of UUA interim ministers who had served as "after pastors" following the resignation or dismissal of UU ministers who had been found to be guilty of clergy sexual misconduct had decided to try to found out just how many UUA congregations had been affected by UU clergy sexual misconduct and had stopped counting when they reached a total of no less than 400 "less than safe" congregations. I have previously, and even quite repeatedly. . . made the point that, in that these disillusioned UU "after pastors" simply stopped counting when they reached the round number of 400 UUA congregations affected by clergy sexual misconduct, there might well be dozens or even hundreds more such "less than safe" UU congregations.
Following the 2013 UUA GA, Rev. Gail Seavey of UU Safety Net told me that she and other UU Safety Net members had discovered that UUism's clergy sexual misconduct problem was even worse than UU Safety Net had previously been aware of because, after speaking with people about UU CSM during the 2013 UUA General Assembly, it became clear to them that UU clergy sexual misconduct had been significantly under-reported. Now clergy sexual misconduct expert Rev. Deborah Pope-Lance is on public record in the most recent edition of the UU World magazine quite authoritatively asserting that,
“As many as two-thirds of our congregations have been served in living memory by a minister known to have engaged in sexual misconduct there or elsewhere. At first I said that timidly because we can’t imagine our ministers would do that, but now we know they can and have.”
That is well over 600 UUA congregations that have been served by a Unitarian Universalist minister who is *known* to have committed clergy sexual misconduct of one kind or another. That is well over 50% more than the 400 UUA congregations that a group of UU "after pastors" had previously calculated to have been affected by UU clergy sexual misconduct of one kind or another.
Although this quite revealing UU World article about UU clergy sexual misconduct is finally "coming out" about just how extensive UUism's clergy sexual misconduct problem really is, it is still spinning the story in such a way as to keep some of the more disturbing aspects of UUism's clergy sexual misconduct problem hidden from the eyes of UU World readers and the general public. It is quite frankly ludicrous for Kimberly French to assert that "There’s no way to know" how "widespread" UUism's clergy sexual misconduct problem really is when the UUA is in a position to know very well exactly how many UU ministers have been credibly accused of one form of clergy sexual misconduct or another, and which specific UUA congregations have been served by a UU ministers who are "known to have engaged in sexual misconduct there or elsewhere". Right? According to Rev. Deborah Pope-Lance and other Unitarian Universalists "in the know" about UU clergy sexual misconduct, that number is no less than 400 UUA congregations and may well be as high as "two-thirds of (UUA) congregations". The only question that remains about just how "widespread" UUism's clergy sexual misconduct problem is, is. . .
"To what extent has UU clergy sexual misconduct been under-reported?"
Another significant problem with this UU World article is that it does not report at all on very recent attempts by the UUA to cover-up and hide UU clergy sexual misconduct, or to deny and minimize UU clergy sexual misconduct as much as UUA leaders like UUA President Rev. Peter "Beyond Belief" Morales and UUA Moderator Jim Key feel that they can get away with. . . There is not the slightest mention of the fact that the current UUA administration, led by UUA President Rev. Dr. Peter Morales, has falsely accused me of the archaic crime of blasphemous libel in Bill Cosby style legal bullying that is quite obviously intended to cover-up and deny "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers".
Likewise, although UUA Moderator Jim Key's dubious "official apology" to UU clergy sexual misconduct victims is mentioned in the article in the two paragraphs reproduced below -
In June, Key told the General Assembly in Providence, Rhode Island, “I want to express my deepest apologies to those of you who have been victims of UU clergy sexual misconduct, whether you have come forward or not. . . . It is unacceptable that a minister has taken advantage of you sexually and emotionally. It was not your fault.”
Key’s apology was not the first. At the 2000 General Assembly, the UUA’s then-Executive Vice President Kay Montgomery also apologized for clergy misconduct. Over the past two decades the UUA has made many reforms, especially in ministerial education. But misconduct survivors feel leaders are only now beginning to listen to them and ask how to help repair the damage.
Kimberly French and the UU World's editors totally avoid openly discussing the fact that UUA Moderator Jim Key told at least two brazen bald-faced lies in what was supposed to be a UUA Board official apology to UU clergy sexual misconduct victims in falsely making the following claims -
“I am speaking of incidents of UU clergy, albeit a very small number, ignoring professional ethics and boundaries who preyed on vulnerable congregants. There were no incidents of abuse of children or elders in my investigations.”
Most ironically, both of these demonstrably false assertions, which Jim Key knew to be false aka UnTrue before he had the Big Fat U*U Audacity to brazenly utter them in front of thousands of UU delegates in his highly questionable "official apology" to UU clergy sexual misconduct victims that was sandwiched into the middle of his 1st Moderator's Report to a UUA General Assembly, are proven to be brazen bald-faced lies by Kimberly French's UU World article itself. The article makes it abundantly clear that as many as two thirds of the UUA's 1000 or so congregations have been served by UU clergy who are guilty of clergy sexual misconduct, and the article also briefly mentions the fact that Rev. Mack Wallace Mitchell was convicted of raping teenage Tibetan refugees who he had lured away from their families in India with promises of a better life in America.
Kimberly French writes -
In the most shocking case, the Rev. Mack Mitchell was arrested and convicted in 1992 for raping a teenage girl he had helped to emigrate from Tibet. Mitchell lost his job and ministerial fellowship, after members of the Massachusetts congregation he served raised an alarm. He was imprisoned for three years.
I guess in UUA Moderator Jim Key's self-deluded mind the repeated rape of vulnerable teenage Tibetan refugees by a UU minister doesn't count as incidents of abuse of children. . . Not that I didn't personally tell Jim Key about some other incidents of pedophilia engaged in by "less than perfect" UU ministers, aka incidents of UU clergy sexual abuse of children. . . when I spoke with him on the phone in our Inter-National Conversation On UU Clergy Misconduct in September of 2013, more than 9 months prior to his botched "official apology" to UU clergy sexual misconduct victims which apparently do not include persons of inherent worth and dignity who have been victims of "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by UU clergy pedophiles and rapists. . .
Funny how UUA leaders like UUA President Rev. Dr. Peter "Beyond Belief" Morales, and former UUA Executive *Vice* President Kathleen "Kay" Montgomery, to name but two. . . can can hire Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyers to use the term "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" in Bill Cosby style legal bullying that misuse Canada's blasphemy law in legal intimidation that is quite obviously intended to cover-up and deny the fact that "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers" have not only engaged in "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape", but *some* of them, such as Rev. Mack W. Mitchell to name but one. . . have actually been convicted of committing "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" and jailed for their despicable crimes, but UUA leaders are chronically unready, obstinately unwilling and even pathologically unable to bring themselves to use this very same phrase to describe pedophilia and rape when ostensibly offering an official apology for UU clergy sexual misconduct which, in spite of Jim Key's brazen bald-faced lies, most certainly includes "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" . . .

UUA President Rev. Dr. Peter "Beyond Belief" Morales Issues A Big Fat U*U Public Statement Following. . .
Gowlings Lawyer Mark Bantey's Big Fat U*U Decision Regarding Montreal Unitarian U*U Sue Montgomery's Complicity In U*U Cover-Up Of Clergy Abuse Inc. "Such Despicable Crimes As Pedophilia And Rape". . .
The Rev. Peter Morales, president of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), issued this statement following the decision by Gowlings media lawyer Mark Bantey to have Robin Edgar aka The Emerson Avenger served with a dU*Ubious cease and desist demand letter falsely accusing him of making "libellous statements" about Montreal Unitarian U*U, and The Gazette's so-called "Justice Reporter", Sue Montgomery that took place earlier this evening on the 4th Day of Chalica in Montreal, Qc:
In both cases, the victims were Big Law corporate litigation lawyers. In both cases, they were unarmed with facts and evidence. In both cases, the Unitarian*Universalist plaintiffs aka U*U complainants were White U*Us. The Gowlings lawyer hired a Montreal bailiff to serve a cease and desist demand letter full of highly questionable accusations to Robin Edgar that is explicitly prohibited by the 4th Principle of Unitarian Universalism, and The Emerson Avenger ruled the cease and desist demand letter to be highly questionable and even full of U*U "shit". Despite these facts — including a video of The Gazette's "Justice Reporter" Sue Montomery callously ignoring Robin Edgar's suggestion that she should research and write a The Gazette news report about the UUA's misuse of Canada's blasphemy law in Bill Cosby style legal bullying intended to cover-up and deny U*U clergy sexual abuse, indeed "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape", to say nothing of a much more recent video showing Montreal bailiff Hugo Doucet handing Robin Edgar the prohibited cease and desist demand letter — there was no indictment and therefore no chance for a judge and*or jury to rule on these cases in a court of law. There is NO justice in these Big Fat U*U Decisions. If anything they are shameful and hubristic perversions of justice that seek to cover-up and hide the inconvenient Truth that "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers" have not only engaged in "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape", but some of these abusive U*U ministers have even been convicted of committing "such despicable crimes" in open court.
As appalling as this Big Fat U*U Decision is, we U*Us must not give in to Big Fat U*U Despair. I am heartened to hear that the non-existent UUA Justice Department will not be investigating this case of ongoing U*U misuse and abuse of the Canadian justice system to cover-up and deny U*U clergy abuse and*or Montreal Unitarian U*U Sue Montgomery's complicity therein. But no matter what this non-investigation never finds, Montreal Unitarian U*U and The Gazette's "Justice Reporter" Sue Montgomery is NOT complicit in U*U cover-up and denial of UUA clergy abuse which includes, but is by NO means limited to clergy sexual abuse of children aka "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape." Rev. Mack W. Mitchell and Richard Buell, to say absolutely nothing of Steven Craig Bulleit. . . are NOT convicted U*U rapists and other unmentionable U*U clergy are NOT convicted of pedophiles. And we U*Us must raise our voices, again and again, to proclaim that blogging about convicted U*U pedophiles and rapists constitutes the archaic crime of blasphemous libel against The U*U Movement aka U*Uism aka The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ and that NO children or elders were abused in UUA Moderator Jim Key's alleged "investigations" of UUA clergy sexual misconduct aka U*U clergy sexual abuse aka U*U CSA.

Gowlings Media Lawyer Mark Bantey And The Unitarian Universalist Holiday Of Chalica - What's The Connection?
Re: Sue Montgomery vs. Yours Truly aka Robin Edgar
National Day Of Remembrance and Action To End Violence Against Women
Dear Mr. Bantey,
Thank you SO much for hiring Montreal bailiff Hugo Doucet to so very publicly serve me with your rather questionable cease and desist demand letter dated December 4th, 2014, (Your File No. L16321352) as I was very publicly observing the 4th Day of the Unitarian Universalist holiday Chalica by providing people attending the fundraising event arising from The Gazette "Justice Reporter" Sue Montgomery's recent #BeenRapedNeverReported initiative with the opportunity to engage in a free and responsible search for the Truth and meaning of my picket sign slogans exposing the Unitarian Universalist Association's attempted misuse of Canada's archaic blasphemy law in Bill Cosby style legal bullying that was quite obviously intended to intimidate me into "memory holing" The Emerson Avenger blog posts about Unitarian Universalists who not only "engage in such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape", but have even been convicted of committing "such despicable crimes", and protesting against the fact that both Sue Montgomery and The Gazette #NeverReported this newsworthy story about the UUA's immoral and unethical misuse of Canadian blasphemy law to try to cover-up and deny the fact that children have #BeenRaped by Unitarian Universalist clergy, to say nothing of UU Sunday school teachers and lay people.
As a non-U*U you may be unfamiliar with Chalica, but it is essentially a U*U cultural appropriation of Chanukkah and Kwanzaa that is a week-long celebration of the Seven Purported Principles of the tiny, declining, fringe religion known as Unitarian*Universalism aka The U*U Movement which begins on the first Monday in December. Last Thursday aka Thor's Day was dedicated to celebrating the 4th Principle of Unitarian Universalism which calls upon Unitarian*Universalists aka U*Us to affirm and promote "a free and responsible search for Truth and meaning." I can't think of a better day for Yours Truly to be served with a highly questionable cease and desist demand letter that provides me and The Court Of Public Opinion, to say nothing of a court of law. . . with a wonderful opportunity to engage in a genuinely free and genuinely responsible search for the Truth and meaning of the questionable accusations made in it, or glaring dearth thereof. . .
One sentence in particular in your questionable cease and desist demand letter that more than a little bit questionably accuses me of making defamatory statements about your client Sue Montgomery practically leaps off the page. After listing 4 examples of what you claim to be defamatory statements about The Gazette's "Justice Reporter" Ms. Sue Montgomery you quite authoritatively, but more than a little bit questionably, I even dare to say brazenly. . . assert:
"You are well aware that these libellous statements have no basis in fact."
I would appreciate it very much if you would deign to explain to me how you quite mistakenly believe that you are capable of reading my mind Mr. Bantey. Do you have a foggy and cracked crystal ball sitting on your desk at Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP's offices that you believe allows you to probe people's minds? Do you provide work to self-proclaimed psychics aka clairvoyants who have bamboozled you into believing that they can read people's minds prior to your drafting of dubious cease and desist demand letters and hiring bailiffs to serve them to people? Do you believe that you are in contact with highly advanced space aliens who have convinced you that they have telepathic mind-reading abilities? Do you believe that the omniscient and omnipresent Creator of the Universe aka God sent you an angel with a golden scroll revealing my innermost thoughts to you?
I regret to have to inform you that if you *really* believe any of the aforementioned hypothetical scenarios you are badly mistaken, because I can assure you that I am anything but "well aware" that my allegedly defamatory statements about Sue Montgomery are "libellous statements" that "have no basis in fact". Au contraire, I firmly believe that the four statements that you have listed, as well as various other similar statements about your client Sue Montgomery that you have not yet listed, are very Truthful and have plenty of basis in fact. I dare say that your brazen assertion that I am "well aware" that my allegedly "libellous statements" about your client Sue Montgomery "have no basis in fact" itself has no basis in fact. In my opinion (it) is a delusion aka self-deception aka Ignus FatU*Us if you *really* do believe it, or just puffed-up legalistic bullshit aka a Big Fat U*U Lie if you do not *really* believe what you ass*erted above.
We therefore put *you* on notice that we most certainly are NOT "well aware that these (allegedly) libellous statements have no basis in fact." In fact we inform you that not only do our statements have considerable basis in fact, but we can in fact even provide evidence of their basis in fact. We also put you on notice that, until such a time as you provide us with some convincing evidence that our statements actually are defamatory or libellous aka libelous, we have NO intention whatsoever of removing our very Truthful statements about your client Sue Montgomery from social media "immediately" or otherwise. Au contraire, we aspire and will endeavor to have them published and*or broadcast in mainstream media.
That being said, in light of the fact that today is the 6th Day of Chalica, which is dedicated to celebrating U*Uism's 6th Principle of ostensibly striving for "the goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all", even if U*Us believe that goal to be, like your highly questionable cease and desist demand letter. . . "extravagant in its hopefulness and improbable in its prospects", I will generously extent to you and your client the following peace offering which I had intended to offer to Sue Montgomery even before she saw fit to hire you to falsely accuse me of defamation and libel. If you and Sue Montgomery formally withdraw the highly questionable accusations that you have brought against me in your cease and desist demand letter, and properly and publicly apologize to me for bringing them against me; and if Sue Montgomery acknowledges that I actually do have what a lawyer might call "reasonable grounds" for making "such statements" about her, and also admits to her complicit silence re. the UUA's immoral and unethical attempted misuse of Canadian blasphemy law to hide the fact that children have #BeenRaped by Unitarian Universalists such as Rev. Mack Wallace Mitchell, Richard Buell, and Steven Craig Bulleit to name but 3 such U*U rapists that (to date) she #NeverReported in The Gazette, nor to my knowledge ever spoke out against in any way, and if Sue Montgomery acknowledges her direct involvement in some of the Unitarian Church of Montreal's attempts to suppress my ongoing peaceful public protest in front of said "church", and also agrees to research and write a series of genuinely fair and balanced news reports about UU clergy abuse and UU cover-up and denial thereof that will be published in The Gazette starting later this month, I will forgive Sue Montgomery's past sins of commission and sins of omission and provide her with a clean slate for 2015.
It is my firm belief that if in her capacity as the Montreal Gazette's "Justice Reporter" Sue Montgomery had responsibly reported the newsworthy story that I brought to her attention exactly two years ago to the day. . . on National Day Of Remembrance and Action To End Violence Against Women 2012, as may be verified in this YouTube video that your client wants to have "memory holed" -
Sue Montgomery So-Called "Justice Reporter" For The Gazette Dismisses UUA Perversion Of Justice
that UUA Moderator Jim Key would not have dared to stand up in front of thousands of Unitarian*Universalists during this year's UUA General Assembly and brazenly lie about the sexual abuse of children by UUA clergy in asserting -
"There were no incidents of abuse of children or elders in my investigations."
in what was ostensibly a second UUA "official apology" to victims of UU clergy sexual misconduct. The fact of the matter is that children have #BeenRaped by Unitarian Universalists, such as the three men that I have named in this letter, and the UUA has attemped to cover-up and deny these rapes, as well as other clergy sexual abuse of both adults and children, by falsely accusing me of the criminal act of blasphemous libel, but Sue Montgomery and other employees of The Gazette #NeverReported this newsworthy story, even though I asked on several different occasions, including earlier this year. I am telling the Truth about the fact that both Sue Montgomery and The Gazette #NeverReported that children have #BeenRaped by Unitarian Universalists and the UUA tried to conceal this by falsely accusing me of blasphemous libel. I am telling the Truth about other aspects of Sue Montgomery's involvement in attempted suppression of my whistleblowing and peaceful public protest against ALL forms of UU clergy abuse, both clergy sexual misconduct and non-sexual misconduct. If Sue Montgomery wants (me) to be less critical of her behavior she needs to acknowledge the truthfulness of my criticism and change her behavior so that it is much more in alignment with the claimed goals of her #BeenRapedNeverReported campaign.
As they say, #NoJusticeNoPeace, but if The Gazette's "Justice Reporter" Sue Montgomery comes to her senses and finally decides that she is ready, willing, and able to finally practice genuine justice, equity and compassion in her human relations with me, as per Unitarian Universalism's 2nd Principle, rather than making a mockery of this and other U*U principles and ideals, such as by having me served with your "less than honest" cease and desist demand letter. . . I will forgive her past sins of omission and sins of commission and assist her in researching and writing a series of The Gazette news reports about Unitarian Univeralist clergy abuse which includes, but is by no means limited to, what Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe quite justifiably describes as "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape."
Please do see to it that both you and your client DO govern yourselves accordingly.

Chalica Day 2 aka The Second Day Of Chalica and Such Despicable Crimes As Pedophilia And Rape - What's The Connection?
N.B. I have corrected a few insignificant typos and 1 significant omission of words in this public version of the email aka "electronic communication" that I sent to Maitre Coulombe yesterday, in observance of the 2nd Day of Chalica which celebrates the 2nd Purported Principle of Unitarian Universalism that ostensibly affirms and promotes "justice, equity, and compassion in human relations."
Re: Unitarian Universalist Association and al. vs. Yourself
Tuesday December 2nd, 2014
Dear Maitre Coulombe,
Yesterday, Monday December 1st 2014 marked the 30th "monthiversary" of your hitting send to this "electronic communication". It was also the first day of the Unitarian Universalist holiday of Chalica which is dedicated to affirming and promoting the 1st Purported Principle of Unitarian Universalism. I did not email you yesterday because it would not have reflected well on your "inherent worth and dignity", or maybe it's just because I forgot that it was the 1st Day of Chalica.
But today is the 2nd Day of Chalica, which is dedicated to celebration of the 2nd Purported Principle of Unitarian Universalism which calls for justice, equity and compassion in human relations. I will try to honour the compassion part of that Purported U*U Principle by refraining from being crU*Uel to you in this email.
I will keep it short and sweet.
For over 2 years and six months you have FAILed to provide ANY evidence supporting ANY of the dU*Ubious accU*Usations that you made in your highly questionable (dare I say "threatening and defamatory"?) cease and desist demand letter aka mise en demeure served on behalf of The U*U Movement aka The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion aka Unitarian Universalism in June 2012.
As I am sure you are aware, the proverbial BU*URDEN OF PROOF is on you and your immoral, unethical, "less than honest" U*U clients. I am innocent of ANY and ALL of the Big Fat U*U Accusations that you have made against me on behalf of The U*U Movement and its "less than perfect" preachers aka pastors aka "less than professional" religious professionals such Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang aka Vicki The Impaler to "name and shame" but one of them.
Surely today is as good a day as ANY for you and your apparently quite shameless clients to recognize that your Bill Cosby style legal bullying, which seeks to cover-up and deny "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" engaged in by U*U clergy like Rev. Mack UU Mitchell, to say nothing of Peacebang's Big Fat U*U Sodomy Fantasy. . . (is morally and ethically and legally untenable), and formally withdraw your Big Fat U*U AccU*Usations, and properly and publicly apologize for bringing them against me.
Happy 2nd Day of Chalica!
And DO govern yourself accordingly. . .

The Gazette Justice Reporter Sue Montgomery Of #BeenRapedNeverReported Fame Knows That Children Have #BeenRaped By Unitarian Universalists But She Has #NeverReported. . .
Hence the following comment that I just posted to a post on this #BeenRapedNeverReported Event page on Facebook -
Sadly, Gazette "Justice Reporter" Sue Montgomery is herself complicit with, and even personally implicated in... Unitarian Universalist cover-up and denial of UU clergy abuse which includes, but is by no means limited to, what the UUA's Canadian attorney Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe describes as "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape." I asked Sue Montgomery to responsibly report on the fact that her own religious community (i.e. Unitarian Universalism) is falsely accusing me of the archaic crime of blasphemous libel in immoral and unethical legal bullying that is intended to cover-up and hide the fact that "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers" have been convicted of "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" but she refused to do so.
