The Emerson Avenger

The Emerson Avenger is a "memory hole" free blog where censorship is scorned. This blog will "guard the right to know" about any injustices and abuses that corrupt Unitarian Universalism. Posters may speak and argue freely, according to conscience, about any injustices and abuses, or indeed hypocrisy, that they may know about so that the Avenger, in the form of justice and redress, may come surely and swiftly. . . "Slowly, slowly the Avenger comes, but comes surely." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

In 1992 I underwent a profound revelatory experience of God which revealed that the total solar eclipse "Eye of God" is a "Sign in the Heavens" that symbolizes God's divine omniscience. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan of the Unitarian Church of Montreal contemptuously dismissed as my "psychotic experience" here: http://revelationisnotsealed.homestead.com - This revelatory religious experience inspired me to propose an inter-religious celebration of Creation that would take place whenever a total solar eclipse took place over our planet. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan and other leading members of the Unitarian Church of Montreal falsely and maliciously labeled as a "cult" here: http://creationday.homestead.com - I am now an excommunicated Unitarian whose "alternative spiritual practice" includes publicly exposing and denouncing Unitarian*Universalist injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy. The Emerson Avenger blog will serve that purpose for me and hopefully others will share their concerns here. Dee Miller's term DIM Thinking is used frequently and appropriately on this blog. Dumped NDP Candidate Rev. Stefan Jonasson And UUA Misuse Of Canada's Blasphemy Law To Cover-Up UU Pedophilia & Rape - What's The Connection?

How about the fact that dumped NDP candidate Stefan Jonasson, aka Winnipeg Manitoba Unitarian minister, Rev. Stefan M. Jonasson, is every bit as complicit in the Unitarian Universalist Association's immoral, unethical, borderline criminal and yes. . . "bat shit crazy" misuse of Canada's blasphemy law in Bill Cosby style legal bullying that is obviously intended to cover-up and deny "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers" as any other member in The U*U Movement who I have informed about the UUA's false blasphemous libel accusation against me, but who has not spoken out against this utterly shameful example of U*U perversion of justice that makes a TOTAL mockery of the Unitarian*Universalist religious heritage of opposing blasphemy laws?

Let's face it U*Us. . .

NO Unitarian*Universalist, clergy or otherwise. . . who turns a complicit "blind eye" to the UUA's immoral, unethical and borderline criminal misuse of Canada's archaic blasphemy law to cover-up and deny "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by Unitarian*Universalists is fit to run for public office as a candidate for Canada's New Democratic Party aka NDP or ANY other Canadian political party.

Rev. Stefan Jonasson NDP Candidate And Canadian Unitarian Minister And The Unitarian Taliban - What's The Connection?

How about the following comments that I just posted in response to the Huffington Post Canada article entitled:

Stefan Jonasson, NDP Candidate, Drops Out After Remarks About Orthodox Jewish Group

which reports about how Winnipeg Unitarian minister Rev. Stefan M. Jonasson has been compelled to drop out as a candidate of the NDP after allegedly making some allegedly controversial statements such as, "Much like the Taliban and other extremists, the Haredim offer a toxic caricature of faith, at odds with the spirit of the religious tradition they profess to represent."

Herewith my comments:

I look forward to Canadian Unitarian minister Rev. Stefan Jonasson making the following public statement about his own Unitarian Universalist "church".

"Much like the Taliban and other religious extremists, UUA President Peter Morales and other top-level leaders of the Unitarian Universalist Association offer a toxic caricature of the U*U "faith", that is at odds with the spirit of the Unitarian*Universalist religious traditions they profess to represent, in falsely accusing Robin Edgar of the criminal act of blasphemous libel for blogging about U*U pedophiles and rapists."

and

Rose Lawson Steinmeier "don't tell the truth about the actions of Jews or you are anti-Semitic."

And if you tell the Truth about the actions of Unitarian Universalist pedophiles and rapists you are guilty of the archaic criminal act of blasphemous libel. At least that is what the Unitarian Universalist Association's Canadian attorney, Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe would have you to believe. . .

and

Most ironically, Rev. Stefan Jonasson is taking the cowardly way out when it comes to his religious community's immoral, unethical and borderline criminal misuse of Canada's blasphemy law in Bill Cosby style legal bullying that is intended to cover-up and deny "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers". Rev. Jonasson knows about this but has not denounced this shameful misuse of our blasphemy law to hide U*U clergy abuse, but he has never spoken out against it.

and

Why is it that anything said about Unitarian Universalist pedophiles and rapists that even hints at criticism is seen as the criminal act of blasphemous libel by Atheist U*U UUA leadership? They are no more special than anyone else and should NOT be treated as such !

and

(To) Jeffrey Madden - Pretty nutty things in religion don't get much nuttier than #BatShitCrazy Atheist Unitarians accusing someone of the criminal act of blasphemous libel for blogging about Unitarian Universalist pedophiles and rapists.

http://emersonavenger.blogspot.ca/.../blasphemy-law...

Rev. Stefan Jonasson knows about the UUA's misuse of blasphemy law to hide U*U pedophilia and rape but has never spoken out against it.

Rev. Patrick McLaughlin aka Ogre Viciously Kicks UUA Moderator Jim Key aka Certified Risk Management Assurance Expert James C. Key In His Big Fat U*U Balls. . .

"It is black and white. There is no veil to hide it. The only question remaining is whether one accepts the Orwellian lies of UUA President Rev. Dr. Peter Morales and UUA Moderator Jim Key in the face of evidence one can see in the UU World magazine or The Emerson Avenger blog."

As per these words of Rev. Patrick McLaughlin that were posted to Peacebang's Facebook page a while back. . .

Rev. Kelly Asprooth-Jackson Of First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Beverly Is Very Excited That Unitarian Universalist Church Membership Continues To Decline

But don't take *my* word for it U*Us.

Take the word of Rev. Kelly Asprooth-Jackson himself in The Salem News article headlined 'United in worship'. . .

“We’re very excited,” First Parish minister Kelly Asprooth-Jackson.

“It’s a big moment in the history of both congregations.”

That "big moment" is the merger of
First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Beverly with the First Universalist Society of Salem due to a continued decline in membership in FUSS. . .

The Salem News article goes on to report that:

First Universalist member Patti Welch, who served as co-chair of the merger committee, said the church began seriously looking for a partner two years ago as membership continued to decline. As of last count, the church had just 39 members.

“It just became very obvious that we were going to run out of money,” Welch said. “It was very difficult. It was very emotional.” Welch said First Universalist was hit by the same societal forces that are affecting many congregations. “Across the board people are very busy and they don’t have the time for a set Sunday service anymore, and they don’t want to put in the time,” she said. “People are using different tools other than religion to sustain their own spiritual health.”Here is my response to those words of Patti Welch -

Correction -

Across the board people are very wary of the Unitarian Universalist church and they don’t have the time of day for a set Sunday service at many Unitarian Universalist churches anymore, and they don’t want to put in the time with a VERY hypocritical "church" that misuses blasphemy law to cover-up and deny "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers". People are attending different churches other than those of The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ aka The U*U Movement to sustain their own spiritual health.

Rev. Meg Riley Viciously Kicks UUA Moderator Jim Key In His Big Fat U*U Balls. . .

What Do We Tell Our Children?

People of Faith Respond to UUA Moderator Jim Key's Official Apology To Victims Of UU Clergy Sexual Misconduct

By Rev. Meg Riley

What do we tell our children?

We listen. We hold them. We tell them, "I love you." "Love is forever."

If they are very young, pre-school aged, tell them, "UUA ministers and UU Sunday school teachers aka UU Religious Educators *should* keep children safe, but sometimes they sexually abuse them and even rape them."

Listen. Hold them. Tell them, "I love you." "Love is forever."

If they are old enough to be aware that clergy sexual abuse of children has happened in UUA congregations, but not really to understand the specifics of what happened because implicated UU "churches" and top-level UUA leaders like UUA President Rev. Dr. Peter Morales and UUA Moderator Jim Key do everything they think they can get away with to keep the "specifics" of UU clergy sexual abuse covered-up and hidden, ask them,

"What do you think? How does your conscience feel?"

Then listen to their specific feelings and reassure them. Don't answer questions they don't ask, and don't listen for the questions behind the questions either. They may want to be reassured that there are grownups who love them and will take care of them, no matter what UUA clergy and UU Religious Educators may do to them.

Tell them,

"Let's not go to a UU "church" to be with our pedophiles and rapists; let's watch TV tonight instead!"

Listen. Hold them. Tell them, "I love you." "Love is forever."

If they are old enough to understand the facts of what happened, and want to process why it happened, tell them that "sometimes horrible things happen". Tell them that, while every person is inherently good, sometimes UUA clergy and UU Religious Educators get horny enough and perverted enough to do very mean things that hurt other people. Tell them that the UUA often knows who did this, but that it is important to respect all UU pedophiles and rapists while UUA leadership take the time to figure out how to cover-up and deny such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape committed by certain Unitarian Universalist ministers and certain UU Religious Educators.

Tell them that a small group of individual UUs did this - not the UU "religion", not a UU "church", not a person of inherent worth and dignity who looks at children a particular way or has a particular kind of sexual perversion. Tell them about a time when you were a child and you were afraid because of something scary that happened—The Rev. Mack Mitchell Case, First Parish Norwell, or yet another Unitarian Universalist clergy sexual abuse tragedy.

Ask them how they feel about what happened, and what they are wondering.

Listen. Hold them. Tell them, "I love you." "Love is forever."

If they know someone who lost their virginity to a UUA minister or UU Religious Educator in these tragedies, talk about what it means to support the church. Remind them not to gossip, and not to speak directly to their friend or acquaintance and acknowledge the loss.

Listen. Hold them. Tell them, "I love you." "Love is forever."

If they go in their room and slam the door and talk on the phone to their friends, if they say "This is a real big deal. Why does everybody want to keep silent about this? We never talk about it any day at church" hire a lawyer to have them served with a cease and desist demand letter telling them to shut the fuck up.

Tell them, I am going to "church" now to be with people whom I naively love and trust. I wish you would come with me. I want you to listen to them. I want to hold you. I want you to know I love you. I love you forever.

As parents, we want nothing more than to protect our children from pain, from fear, from harm. As parents, we know nothing is more impossible. How we UUs handle our own clergy abuse with ZERO integrity will speak volumes to our children about how to be a UU in a troubled, broken, UU World.

May we be worthy of this most sacred charge that has been given to us UUs. Forever.

A Whole Lot Of Unitarian Universalist Ministers And UUA Leaders Are Foolish, Misguided AND Hypocritical. . .

But don't take *my* word for it U*Us.

Take the word of the stunningly foolish, shamefully misguided, and outrageously hypocritical Unitarian Universalist "pastor" known U*U World-wide as *THE* Reverend Doctor Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang aka Vicki The Impaler, as posted to Peacebang's Facebook account near "The Witching Hour" last night. . .

"The fact is, liberals are having a field day pulverizing Kim Davis as their idea of Everything That's Wrong With Religion but that's too easy. There are many things wrong with religion, and liberal self-righteousness among them. There's a whole lot of foolish, misguided, hypocritical religious folk in every kind of religious group. None is immune. Good people don't steer clear of religious communities just because of the Kim Davises of the world. So-called free thinkers and welcoming congregations are just as liable to fail at the basics, hurt and offend others, and make justifications for their behavior. I hear some example or another pretty much every day. We all have a lot of work to do to live into our ideals and frankly, that can't happen while we're crowing about our superiority over misguided Christian town clerks somewhere half across the country."

The following message was sent to those followers of Peacebang who commented on her post -

"There's a whole lot of foolish, misguided, hypocritical religious folk in every kind of religious group. None is immune."

Sadly, Peacebang & FAR too many other foolish, misguided, hypocritical U*U clergy & UUA leaders are numbered amongst them. . .

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Midland's Minister Rev. Jeff Liebmann And The Moldy Basement Of The U*U Movement - What's The Connection?

How about this slight reworking aka plagU*Urism of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Midland's minister Rev. Jeff Liebmann's brand spanking new 'Truth and Meaning: Mold in the Cellar' blog post?

It seems Rev. Jeff Liebmann and the U*U "religious community" could benefit from going on my U*U World famous Eat Your Words Diet. . .

Under the foundation of The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ grows a mold. It spreads during the cold dampness of night in the sickly detritus of decay. It eats away at U*U compassion and understanding. It mocks The U*U Movement's purported modern, forward focus and stifles U*Uism's "exploring nature" with fear and bigotry.

Unless Rev. Jeff Liebmann and other U*Us explore U*Uism's own cellar, U*Us might live unaware of this destructive cancer. If U*Us dismiss the stench of hate and the foul erosion of U*U community, then The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ may well become a hollow shell of platitudes built on the sandy ground of empty promises.

Long before posting here, I have inspected U*Uism’s basement and exposed the mold growing in its shadows. This malignant rot wants to stay hidden and so it attacks in the only way it knows — through intimidation, bullying, insinuation and taunts. The mold tells U*Us what U*Us want to hear — that everything is all right and that U*Us don’t need to change anything.

&

I ask U*Us to denounce these UUA lies, because U*Us DO need to change something in U*Uism. If U*Us care about their "tiny, declining, fringe religion", then U*Us need to confront this infestation in U*Uism's cellar and see it for what it really is. UUA corruption. UUA hypocrisy. UUA arrogance. UUA Evil.

If U*Us want U*Uism to become a bastion of religion and reason, of education, and of religious activities and love, then U*Us need to put on their haz-mat suits and enter the basement of The U*U Movement.

I *could* go on throwing Rev. Liebmann's words back in his hypocritical two-faces, but I would like to think that I have amply made my point by now, and yes, in case anyone is wondering, Rev. Jeff Liebmann does know about the UUA's immoral, unethical, borderline criminal attempted misuse of Canada's blasphemy law in Bill Cosby style legal bullying that is obviously intended to cover-up and deny "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers", but like most U*Us he buries his head in the sand and refuses to speak out against this utterly shameful UUA clergy abuse cover-up.
