Christian Unitarian Universalists And UUA Child Sex Abuse Cover-Up And Denial - What's The Connection?
Can Unitarian Universalists, Christian U*Us or otherwise, say Rev. Ronald Eugene Robinson?
Earlier this week something I encountered online prompted me to run a new Google search for - Ron Robinson Unitarian
This very recent Google search found a number of web pages that mention the UNmentionable "Christian" Unitarian Universalist minister Rev. Ron Robinson that I was already aware of, such as this UU World magazine Media Roundup page dated March 31, 2017, and this follow-up Media Roundup page dated May 26, 2017, but it also included some search results that I had never seen before, notably a link to a CUUPs Disruptive Persons Policy that former executive director of the Unitarian Universalist Christian Fellowship Rev. Ron Robinson contributed to and this Unitarian Universalists of South Bend page dated December 22, 2024, listing one Ron Robinson as a speaker presenting 'Legends, Traditions and Carols from Around the World Christmas Carols'.
These new pages, combined with a rereading and indeed rethinking of the UU World Media Roundup pages and some other pages about the fact that "Christian" Unitarian Universalist minister Rev. Ronald Robinson was "arrested for accessing child pornography via an online application" on March 30th, 2017, and "pleaded guilty in federal court to receiving child pornography" on Tuesday May 9th, 2017, raise a number of questions related to the UUA's past, and apparently ongoing. . . minimization, cover-up, and even official denial, of sex crimes against children committed by pedophile*rapist UUA clergy.
I have already repeatedly pointed out how UUA Moderator Jim Key, and indeed the whole UUA Board of Trustees. . . brazenly lied about child sex abuse committed by pedophile*rapist UUA clergy by officially denying any sexual abuse of children by Unitarian Universalist ministers in the UUA Board's dishonest, and thus worthless, "official apology for clergy sexual misconduct" that Jim Key inappropriately inserted into the middle of his first Moderator's Report to a UUA GA in late June 2017. I have been accusing Jim Key and the UUA Board of brazenly lying about child sex abuse committed by pedophile*rapist UUA clergy on the basis that I had personally told Jim Key about how Rev. Mack Wallace Mitchell had been convicted of child rape in June 1992 months before he denied any sexual abuse of children in the UUA Board's worthless "apology", and it is hard to believe that the UUA Board of Trustees was completely oblivious to this verifiable fact of Unitarian Universalist history in that Rev. Mack Mitchell had subsequently been removed from fellowship by the UUA's aptly named Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee. I did not tell Jim Key about the Rev. William Alexander McEachern case because he had given me reason not to fully trust him, and I wanted to see if he would include that case of child molestation in any disclosure of child sex abuse, or conveniently omit it. . .
I really don't know how I somehow got it into my head that the Rev. Ronald Eugene Robinson case occurred *after* Jim Key brazenly lied about child sex abuse committed by pedophile*rapist UUA clergy in the UUA Board's "official apology for clergy sexual misconduct" in late June 2014, rather than *before* it, but I did so right up until rereading and rethinking reports of this case earlier this week. Think about it. . . In addition to officially denying two "historic" cases of clergy sexual misconduct in which UUA ministers were charged, tried, and convicted of sex crimes against children in the late 1980s & early 1990s, Jim Key and the UUA Board denied a case of clergy sexual misconduct that indirectly involved at least one child which had been reported by the UU World magazine in late March & late May 2017.
The web page of the Unitarian Universalists of South Bend Google found indicates that one Ron Robinson "preached" there in December, 2024. Was it the "Christian" U*U minister Rev. Ron Robinson the MFC removed from fellowship following his conviction on child porn charges in 2017? Or was it a different Ron Robinson?
Getting back to things that are quite certain, it was all but certainly the "Christian" U*U minister Rev. Ron Robinson who contributed the CUUPS' Disruptive Persons Policy, and that policy or similar policies can be abusively misused to conceal the truth about child sex abuse committed by pedophile*rapist UUA clergy, to say nothing of pedophile*rapist UU lay leaders of one kind or another.
Clause 2 says:
Don't feed the antagonist’s need for attention. (If you know or suspect you are dealing with an antagonist, do not engage in any form of communication. Block from Facebook, ban from comments, etc. Project confident apathy toward the antagonist, and any defenders or detractors.
Replace the word "antagonist" with "clergy abuse critic" or "whistleblower" and this "Disruptive Persons Policy" provides instructions for censoring and suppressing public criticism and whistleblowing in online forums controlled by Unitarian Universalists.
What I find most "telling" about clause 2 is that it instruct U*Us to "Project confident apathy toward the antagonist, and any defenders or detractors." Unitarian Universalists have been projecting "confident apathy" towards clergy abuse victims, and their non-victim defenders and advocates, for decades now and continue to do so.
"Confident apathy" is an all too accurate description for the obstinate willful ignorance, deep psychological denial, and shameful lack of concern that most Unitarian Universalists happily wallow in whenever clergy misconduct in general, and child sex abuse in particular. . . are brought to their attention by alleged, or for that matter actual. . . "antagonists".
