Was Rev. Dr. Gregory C. Carrow-Boyd's Sexual Misconduct Rooted in Community, Guided by Faith, And Informed by Scholarship?
According to the mister formerly known as Rev. Dr. Gregory C. Carrow-Boyd himself, as posted to his personal website, his U*U ministry was "Rooted in Community, Guided by Faith, And Informed by Scholarship". It is clear from what he says on his personal website, that Rev. Dr. Gregory Carrow-Boyd's U*U ministry involved "mentoring youth". I notice that on his 'About' page, under the headings 'Beyond the Work' and 'Outside of my professional life', the now disfellowshipped Rev. Dr. Greg Carrow-Boyd states that he finds joy in spending "time with the young people who inspire and energize" him.
It is clear that, while he was aspiring to be a Unitarian*Universalist Reverend Doctor, to say nothing of the multiple years before he was ordained as a U*U minister. . . Mr. Carrow-Boyd worked closely with young people, and even mentored them, so the question arises as to whether or not the egregious sexual misconduct he was found guilty of by both the UUA's Ministerial Fellowship Committee and the Religious Education Credentialing Committee involved the young people Mr. Carrow-Boyd mentored or otherwise had close contact with. To date, neither the Unitarian Universalist Association, its very aptly named Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee, or its Religious Education Credentialing Committee have divulged whether or not Mr. Carrow-Boyd's sexual misconduct, which reportedly "spanned many years", involved young people and if some or indeed all of those young people were minors aka children.
In that there are reasonable grounds to believe that Mr. Carrow-Boyd's egregious sexual misconduct, which apparently began years before he was ordained as a U*U minister, i.e. when he was a credentialed UUA Religious Educator, *could* have involved minors aka children, I believe the UUA, its Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee, and its Religious Education Credentialing Committee ALL have a moral and ethical, if not legal. . . obligation to confirm or deny whether or not Mr. Carrow-Boyd's "persistent pattern" of "boundary violations and (sexual) misconduct" spread over "many years" involved minors aka children.
To date, the UUA and its Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee, which is a sub-committee of the UUA Board of Trustees, has stubbornly refused to do so. . .
