The Emerson Avenger

The Emerson Avenger is a "memory hole" free blog where censorship is scorned. This blog will "guard the right to know" about any injustices and abuses that corrupt Unitarian Universalism. Posters may speak and argue freely, according to conscience, about any injustices and abuses, or indeed hypocrisy, that they may know about so that the Avenger, in the form of justice and redress, may come surely and swiftly. . . "Slowly, slowly the Avenger comes, but comes surely." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

In 1992 I underwent a profound revelatory experience of God which revealed that the total solar eclipse "Eye of God" is a "Sign in the Heavens" that symbolizes God's divine omniscience. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan of the Unitarian Church of Montreal contemptuously dismissed as my "psychotic experience" here: - This revelatory religious experience inspired me to propose an inter-religious celebration of Creation that would take place whenever a total solar eclipse took place over our planet. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan and other leading members of the Unitarian Church of Montreal falsely and maliciously labeled as a "cult" here: - I am now an excommunicated Unitarian whose "alternative spiritual practice" includes publicly exposing and denouncing Unitarian*Universalist injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy. The Emerson Avenger blog will serve that purpose for me and hopefully others will share their concerns here. Dee Miller's term DIM Thinking is used frequently and appropriately on this blog. Young Adult Unitarian Universalists Can Go Fuck Themselves. . .

But don't take *my* word for it U*Us.

Take the word of a female Young Adult Unitarian Universalist U*U who apparently blogs as CandleTree in the following verbatim Tumblr post linked to below -

I went with my Youth Adult Committee co-chair to present our proposal on youth voting rights to the board of trustees at church today.

That awkward moment when you provide a compelling argument backed not only by UU principles and our own bylaws, but by Maryland state law, and yet they still refuse to support your proposed amendment. That even more awkward moment when they are unable to say why they remain unconvinced and have no ideas for what you can do to gain their support.

You know what this is? Ageism. One of the arguments used against us tonight was that they want kids to have a chance to be kids, free of responsibility that being a voting member comes with.

Were you even listening? That’s why we’re saying they have to complete Coming of Age first. It’s the UU version of a bar mitzvah or confirmation. On the day of the COA ceremony the members of the church welcome us into the congregation as adult equals, and then the next Sunday we’re back to being children in their eyes.

Our bylaws state that you cannot prevent a person from voting based on age. But apparently that only applies to the old people. Young people can go fuck themselves. (Emphasis TEA's. . .)

And then they wonder why they don’t retain any of the people who grew up in the church. Why don’t they come back after college? I don’t know, could it be because you didn’t say they could have rights until they were already gone? Just food for thought, you ignorant, oppressive hypocrites.

end quote

I dare say that The Emerson Avenger couldn't have said it better himself. :-)

The Emerson Avenger would hereby like to thank the U*U Twitterati formerly known as UU Jihad* for bringing this matter to his attention.

Here is the screenshot just in case this "less than polite" U*U Tumblr post gets "memory holed" by oppressive U*U hypocrites. . .

* UU Jihad is NOT to be confU*Used with The Emerson Avenger's U*U World famous U*U Jihad, even if UU Jihad *now* known as We Are UU occasionally slaps Big Fat U*U Hypocrites upside the head too. . .

Is UUA President Rev. Peter Morales Full Of Shinto?

Just asking, as they say. . .

In his most recent ironically titled 'Beyond Belief' blog post entitled 'From the Road: Interfaith Rituals' UUA President Rev. Peter Morales describes how he recently visited UUA "religious partners" in Japan such as the Konko Church of Izuo (which he calls "a modern Shinto movement") and the Tsubaki Grand Shrine (which he calls "one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan"). Needless to say this is somewhat more circumspect and polite than calling the Tsubaki Grand Shrine "one of the most obsolete Shinto shrines in Japan" as I expect UUA President Morales was sorely tempted to do. . .

Apparently the Shinto priests of the Tsubaki Grand Shrine were quite aware of the deep disrespect, and even outright contempt. . . that Rev. Peter Morales has expressed for "obsolete religions" and it would seem that they were *also* aware of that old saying to the effect that revenge is a dish best served cold. . . ;-) Indeed they quite evidently took that old proverb quite literally by taking steps to ensure that UUA President Peter Morales took an extremely cold shower while visiting their "obsolete" shrine. They did so by telling President Peter Morales that every other UUA president who had visited the Tsubaki Grand Shrine had participated in its Misogi purification ritual aka "Japanese Water Torture". Water Misogi (not to be confused with the "Water Communion" of the U*Us) is an ancient purification ritual that *can* involve standing in a pool of water outdoors under a waterfall. The waterfall where the Tsubaki Grand Shrine hold their Shinto Water Misogi purification ritual aka "Japanese Water Torture" is held is on a stream that comes down from the mountains. In early March it is corpse-cold Unitarian cold. . . According to President Morales' blog post, it had rained heavily two days before this ritual, so the waterfall was especially large and powerful. And the water was 8 degrees centigrade (aka 46° Fahrenheit) or, as Rev. Peter Morales described it. . . "breathtakingly, numbingly, cold."

Not *that* is what *I* call "taking a cold shower"! ;-)

Who knows? With any luck this ancient Shinto Water Misogi purification ritual actually did serve to purify UUA President Rev. Peter Morales of his Big Fat U*U Sin of "Aversion Addiction" to "obsolete religions" in general and religious ritual in particular. . .

Disclaimer: No disrespect to the "obsolete religion" known as Shinto is intended with my pun on the word Shinto in the title of this blog post. I am simply underlining the deep disrespect, even outright contempt, for "obsolete religions" that Rev. Peter Morales expressed in his now "memory-holed" 'A Religion For Our Time' sermon, which served as his "stump speech" announcing his candidacy for UUA President.

A Unitarian Universalist FemiNazi Attacks The Emerson Avenger During His Protest At The 2011 Canadian Unitarian Council Annual General Meeting

After the 5 minute point of this surveillance/documentary raw video that I shot during my peaceful public protest outside the 2011 Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Unitarian Council held in downtown Toronto, a Unitarian Universalist hard-core feminist aka FemiNazi verbally attacks me and later physically attacks me for protesting against UU clergy misconduct and other UU injustices and abuses. Besides being more than a little bit irate about my picket sign slogans this Big Fat U*U FemiNazi was not at all happy about the fact that I had my HD video capable DSLR running. Most ironically one of the reasons that I had the video camera running in personal surveillance mode was to document any such foolish and belligerent behavior by Canadian U*Us seeking to suppress my legitimate protest.

The Canadian Unitarian Council's CU*UL School Acronym/Logo Featuring Kurt Vonnegut Jr.'s "Picture Of An Asshole" Is "Less Than Cool" U*Us. . .

Just when Canadian Unitarian Universalist U*Us like J. McRee (Mac) Elrod thought that resigned CUC Executive Director Mary Bennett's Big Fat U*U "corporate identity" acronym/logo for the "tiny, declining, fringe religion" known as Unitarian Universalism, which featured Kurt Vonnegut Jr.'s "picture of an asshole" inserted between the two buttocks of "The U*U Movement" in order to symbolize its self-vaunted "inclusiveness", was gone for good it comes back to bite Canadian U*Us in the ass in 2012. . .

Just minutes ago I ran a Google Images search for Unitarian Universalist as a direct result of a visitor from Gainesville, Georgia arriving at The Emerson Avenger blog after running that particular Google search and, lo and behold. . . I was confronted by the logo for the Canadian Unitarian Universalist Leadership CUUL School included in the search results. It seems that Canadian Unitarian*Universalist Leadership aka CU*UL are only too happy to include Kurt Vonnegut Jr.'s "picture of an asshole" in their acronym/logo. Most ironically the French word for "ass" is "cul". . . so it would seem that Canadian Unitarian*Universalist Leadership Schools participants have chosen the Big Fat U*U Fate of identifying themselves as Big Fat U*U Asses in more ways than one! :-)

And so it goes U*Us. . .

The "less than cool", to say nothing of rather flaky. . .

Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein Inadvertently Slaps Former UUA Congregational Services Director Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris Upside The Head. . .

It is said that "Good things come to those who wait."

It seems that *sometimes* good things also come to those who procrastinate. . .

For quite some time now I have been meaning to write a TEA blog post about the rather childish and thus "less than professional" font that Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris used in several of her "electronic communications" aka emails responding to my emails regarding my unbecoming conduct aka clergy misconduct complaint against Rev. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang. I have previously posted the complete email string of my correspondence with Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris but, to date, I have never posted screenshots of the actual emails that she sent me. I don't know what font Rev. Robinson-Harris used in her negligent and indeed remarkably foolish responses to my clergy misconduct complaint against Peacebang but, as may be seen in the screen-shots posted below, it was large, thick and purple or mauve. . . It was not the "juvenile" Comic Sans font but it was just as childish looking, if not worse in that for some bizarre reason Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris chose the Big Fat U*U Fate of using a purple/mauve color rather than black, not that this similarly "juvenile" font would not have looked pretty childish in black "ink" too. . .

So, needless to say, The Emerson Avenger engaged in some hearty laughter and applause upon seeing Rev. Victoria Weinstein's brand-spanking new 'Font Matters' blog post on her Beauty Tips For Ministers blog in which Peacebang yet again disregards her pledge to keep her Big Fat U*U Opinions to herself for Lent by writing -

YES!!!! *laughing and applauding*

NO COMIC SANS, folks. It reads juvenile. Big time.

in response to this image -

thus providing The Emerson Avenger with a Big Fat U*U Foil to play off in finally getting around to blogging about Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris "less than professional" use of a similarly childish font in her emails to me. . .

I dare say that Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris' final "electronic communication" to your's truly "reads juvenile. Big time." And not just in terms of the juvenile aka immature aka childish font that the UUA's former Director of Congregational Services used to proclaim that Peacebang, and by extension every single other "less than perfect" U*U Minister, can utter absolutely any opinion whatsoever no matter how insulting, defamatory, or otherwise verbally and psychologically abusive it may be as long as the hide behind the cowardly cover of anonymity. The Emerson Avenger can't help but wonder if Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris used Crayons and colorful felt tipped markers when issuing hand written memos and letters at 25 Beacon Street. . .

Big Fat U*U Purple Prose in all its "juvenile" glory. . .

Reverend Doctor Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang aka Vicki The Impaler Will "Try" To Give Up Being An Ever So "Passionate" Big Fat U*U Bitch For Lent

Or at least that is pretty much what I gather from the content of her "Lenten Sermon" entitled 'Give Up' which Vicki The Impaler posted to her Peacebang blog the other day.

Here is Peacebang's Lenten "pledge" with (in)appropriate embedded hyperlinks -

"If you grew up Catholic, you will remember Lent as a 40-day period where you gave something up. Maybe dessert, or candy, or some other luxury. I am setting a challenge for myself that will be much more difficult to give up than any exterior treat: I am going to try to give up the “fiery burden” of constant passionate opinion, or at least to notice how often I feel obligated or entitled to offer mine. How often I find common cause with friends and strangers in hating the same things. I want to try to give that up for Lent. . ."

end quote

Why do Yoda's famous words,

"Try not.

Or do not. . .

There is no try."

come to mind here?
