The Emerson Avenger

The Emerson Avenger is a "memory hole" free blog where censorship is scorned. This blog will "guard the right to know" about any injustices and abuses that corrupt Unitarian Universalism. Posters may speak and argue freely, according to conscience, about any injustices and abuses, or indeed hypocrisy, that they may know about so that the Avenger, in the form of justice and redress, may come surely and swiftly. . . "Slowly, slowly the Avenger comes, but comes surely." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

In 1992 I underwent a profound revelatory experience of God which revealed that the total solar eclipse "Eye of God" is a "Sign in the Heavens" that symbolizes God's divine omniscience. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan of the Unitarian Church of Montreal contemptuously dismissed as my "psychotic experience" here: - This revelatory religious experience inspired me to propose an inter-religious celebration of Creation that would take place whenever a total solar eclipse took place over our planet. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan and other leading members of the Unitarian Church of Montreal falsely and maliciously labeled as a "cult" here: - I am now an excommunicated Unitarian whose "alternative spiritual practice" includes publicly exposing and denouncing Unitarian*Universalist injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy. The Emerson Avenger blog will serve that purpose for me and hopefully others will share their concerns here. Dee Miller's term DIM Thinking is used frequently and appropriately on this blog. Another SPVM Police Officer Misuses & Abuses His Authority On Behalf Of The Unitarian Church Of Montreal aka The Church Of The Tarnished Image. . .

Unnecessary and unprofessional police interventions in my peaceful public protest outside of the so-called Unitarian Church Of Montreal by officers of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal aka SPVM don't get much more ridiculous than the police intervention which took place last Sunday morning. . . As I was engaged in what UU clergy misconduct expert Rev. Deborah Pope-Lance once insightfully called my "alternative spiritual practice", and another UU minister much more recently described as my "prophetic work", of publicly protesting against Unitarian Universalist anti-religious intolerance and bigotry, all forms of UU clergy abuse aka clergy misconduct, and a variety of other UU injustices and abuses in front of this alleged Unitarian Church a male Montreal police officer from the SPVM foolishly, and indeed quite idiotically, abused the power and authority invested in him by immediately demanding that I had to end my protest and leave the sidewalk in front of this U*U "church" because I was protesting in a bus stop zone. . .

My video capable DSLR was running and it documented everything that was said by this SPVM police officer as he attempted to force an end to my peaceful public protest by citing real or imagined Montreal municipal bylaws that should not be misused and abused to abrogate or suppress my own, or indeed anyone else's. . . constitutionally guaranteed civil right to engage in peaceful public protest.

Here is a short transcript of what was said starting at 56 seconds into this brand-spanking new U*UTube video -

Male SPVM officer: "Tu peut pas rester ici."

(Translation: "You cannot stay here.")

The Emerson Avenger: "Why not?"

Male SPVM officer: "Parce-que vous êtes dans un arrêt d'autobus premièrement, deuxièmement tu sers du terrain de l'église pour mettre tes pancartes."

(Translation: "Because you are at a bus stop in the first place, and secondly you are using the church's property to place your picket signs.")

It gets better. . .

The SPVM police officers had parked their police car right smack in the middle of the bus stop zone that this overly authoritarian SPVM officer pretended I was somehow violating by engaging in peaceful public protest in front of this alleged Unitarian Church. During the time frame of this highly questionable and "less than professional" police intervention no less than two STM buses were unable to properly pull up and stop at the bus stop in question as a direct result of this SPVM police vehicle being parked in the bus stop zone itself.

As may be seen in this second U*UTube video clip, which was taken immediately after the video clip in which this overly authoritarian SPVM police officer demanded that I must end my peaceful public protest in front of the Unitarian Church Of Montreal because there happens to be a bus stop in front of the entrance to this U*U "church", a Société De Transport De Montréal bus is forced to let passengers exit the bus in the street several feet away from the sidewalk precisely because the SPVM police car of the rather foolish police officer in question is parked right smack in the middle of the bus stop zone. . .

In this third U*UTube video clip another STM bus pulls up to the curb of the sidewalk about 60 feet before the bus stop in front of the Unitarian Church of Montreal because the bus stop is being blocked by the parked SPVM police car. It should perhaps be noted that this is by no means the first time that SPVM vehicles have parked in the bus stop zone in front of the Unitarian Church Of Montreal after having been called to this U*U "church" by outrageously hypocritical Montreal Unitarian U*Us aka Totalitarian Unitarians attempting to misuse and abuse the Canadian Criminal Code or Montreal municipal bylaws to force an end to my perfectly legitimate peaceful public protest against a variety of U*U injustices and abuses.

More later. . .

Rick Santorum's Attack On Barack Obama's "Phony Theology" & UUA President Rev. Peter Morales' Attack On "Obsolete Religions" - What's The Difference?

In a Spiritual RevolUUtions blog post entitled 'A Muslim, a Catholic, and a Mormon walk into a White House: Theological Racism in the 2012 Presidential Race' UU seminarian Nicolas Cable aka Nic Cable, who also Tweets as @CableUU, takes Republican Presidential candidate hopefuls, Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich to task for their "explosion" of what Nic calls "theological bashing" religious rhetoric which "erupted after the Obama Administration faced off against the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops on issues of contraceptive healthcare coverage."

Regarding Rick Santorum's attack on President Barack Obama’s United Church Of Christ version of liberal Christianity -

"It’s about some phony ideal, some phony theology. Oh, not a theology based on the Bible, a different theology, but no less a theology."

Nic Cable quite justifiably blogs -

"Santorum is implicitly suggesting that Obama’s theological tradition within the United Church of Christ is inherently a phony theology. The subtext to this is clear: the liberal Christian tradition and the social gospel movement are illegitimate. In other words, the President’s agenda of improving the lives of the most vulnerable is anti-Christian."

Here is the comment that I just submitted in response to Nic's blog post and a follow-up comment from Dawn -

“Wow. The political rhetoric and falsehood thrown around by candidates today is unbelievable. And you’ve only touched the tip of the iceberg.”

Indeed some of the UU political rhetoric and “religious” propaganda thrown around by UUA President Peter Morales is “beyond belief”. . .

I do not see a huge difference between Rick Santorum’s public attacks on Barack Obama’s UCC Christianity and Rev. Peter Morales’ attacks on Christianity more generally. Indeed Rev. Peter Morales’ rhetoric is arguably more intolerant and bigoted than that of Rick Santorum. . .

You rightly say that, “Santorum is implicitly suggesting that Obama’s theological tradition within the United Church of Christ is inherently a phony theology. The subtext to this is clear: the liberal Christian tradition and the social gospel movement are illegitimate.”

So what do you make of the following words from Rev. Peter Morale’s ‘A Religion For Our Time’ sermon which did double duty as his “stump speech” announcing his candidacy for UUA President?

“The old religions lead to tribalism, violence, suspicion, hatred, and oppression.”

“We live in dark times, filled with hatred, injustice, prejudice, ignorance. Sadly, obsolete religions created for another time contribute to the darkness.”

There is no question that Rev. Morales is referring to the three Abrahamic religions (i.e. Judaism, Christianity and Islam) but his broadly worded rhetoric implicitly encompasses any number of other “old religions” such as Hinduism and Buddhism just for starters. . .

end quote

Needless to say I *could* say quite a bit more about UUA President Rev. Peter Morales' own questionable anti-religious rhetoric but I have already been there and done that. . .

Ash Wednesday, Peacebang, And Projectile Vomiting: What's The Connection?!!

Can U*Us say Rev. Dr. John A* Buehrens? :-)

Without further ado here is The Emerson Avenger's parody version of former UUA President Rev. Dr. John Buehrens' U*U World-famous poem about evil entitled 'Ash Wednesday at the Doctors' -

"Tell me," inquired Dr. Tang, after saying that the mole
in the middle of my chest, though "interesting,"
isn't cancer, at least not yet, "You're a man
of the cloth. What's your theory of evil?"

I stammered inane things about suffering --
how some destroys, some integrates;
about natural evil -- like tornadoes, for example --
that from our point of view only destroy,

but from God's point of view may also enhance.
Before I could talk about the U*U Parish
of Monson
, however,
he told me a tale about his younger daughter,
who had thrush as a child, became reclusive,

hard to reach, even strange, until one day
while visiting friends, when his wife, who is blind
in one eye, weak in the other, had Tarot cards cast
saying ominous things. On the way home in the car

the little girl woke from a sleep, and with a deep voice,
like a man's, clawed at her mother, saying, "I'm going
to kill you, anally impale you on the Statue Of Liberty's torch!"
"I grabbed her," said the doctor, "took her outside the car,

and said the only real heartfelt prayer I've ever prayed:
'O God, protect this child! Protect her from Peacebang!'
Then she threw up, projectile vomiting, looked at me,
and said, 'Thank you, Daddy!' She's been fine
ever since. Now what, Reverend, do you make of that?"

Kurt Vonnegut Jr.'s "Picture Of An Asshole" Is In The Middle Of Unitarian Universalism *These* Days. . .

Rev. Scott Wells Tweeted a Tweet which left the impression that he had forgotten what's in the middle of Unitarian Universalism. . .

So The Emerson Avenger quite opportunistically took the opportunity to remind Scott that, back in December of 2003, former CUC Executive Director Mary Bennett ever so unilaterally, and just a tad foolishly. . . decided to insert Kurt Vonnegut Jr.'s "Picture Of An Asshole" between the two Us of "The UU Movement" aka Unitarian Universalism in a deeply misguided (and seemingly quite childish) effort to symbolize the self-vaunted "inclusiveness" of Unitarian Universalism which, ever since *that* poorly chosen fate of CU*UC Director Mary Bennett. . . has been known as "The U*U Movement".

National Standing On The Side Of Love Month 2012 And The Emerson Avenger Blog's Web Statistics - What's The Connection?

Well not a lot really. . .

In that The Emerson Avenger blog did not receive a whole lot of new visitors as a result of people running Google searches for -

Standing On The Side Of Love Month

even though a TEA blog post titled 'In National Standing On The Side Of Love Month 2012 A Free & Responsible Google Image Search For A Unitarian Standing On The Side Of Love. . .' appears on the first page of results for such a free and responsible Google search for the Truth and meaning (or indeed lack thereof. . .) of Standing On The Side Of Love Month. That TEA blog post is currently ranked at number 7 but that Google ranking may change in the coming days, months, or indeed minutes. . . In fact The Emerson Avenger did not notice a whole lot more persons of inherent worth and dignity arriving at The Emerson Avenger blog as a result of running searches for various permutations of the phrase Standing On The Side Of Love than he normally sees, which does not mean to say that TEA did not see a significant increase in the number of visitors to the TEA blog over the course of National Standing On The Side Of Love Month 2012. . .

The last time that I reported on the number of visitors to this blog it was averaging about 80 visitors per day over a period of several months. In fact, The Emerson Avenger blog's web statistics show that, for the two year period between January 1st, 2010 and December 31st 2011, the TEA blog received an average of 65 unique visitors per day with the average number of page loads being slightly over 100 per day, which *I* think is a fairly respectable figure in light of the fact that this blog deals with the injustices, abuses and hypocrisies of the clergy, administrators, and lay leaders of what UUA President Rev. Peter Morales described as "a tiny, declining, fringe religion" in his now "memory holed" sermon titled 'A Religion For Our Time'.

No U*Us?

So The Emerson Avenger was pleasantly surprised to see 2012 get off to a really good start with a significantly increased number of visitors to the TEA blog in January and February of 2012. Although the number of visitors had been steadily climbing in the latter part of 2011 and early January 2012, this number of visitors has been almost exactly double the average number of visitors for 2010 through 2011 over the period of the last month, which of course corresponds with National Standing On The Side Of Love Month. The average number of unique visits has been 123 persons of inherent worth and dignity per day and the average number of page loads has been 201 per day. Not bad for an alleged "tiny, declining, fringe blog" about the lamentable injustices, abuses and hypocrisies of "a tiny, declining, fringe religion" that few people seem to be interested in these days eh U*Us?

The Emerson Avenger hereby extends a personal thank-you to the 3,942 persons of inherent worth and dignity who chose the fate of visiting The Emerson Avenger blog during National Standing On The Side Of Love Month 2012 aka Thirty Days Of Love for that wonderful Transcendentalist Super Hero known as The Emerson Avenger! ;-)

UUA President Rev. Peter Morales Viciously Kicks The UUA Board Of Trustees In Their Collective Balls On National Standing On The Side Of Love Day!

In the opening words of the brand-spanking new 'Congregations and Beyond: Consultation' post of his ironically titled 'Beyond Belief' blog -

"Some cynical wit once observed that there are two kinds of meetings—some meetings are preparations for action while other meetings are substitutes for action. Alas, I have been to plenty of meetings that fall into the “substitutes for action” category."

I hope that U*Us will forgive me for being a bit of a cynical wit here in suggesting that President Morales' above words are, at least in part, inspired by the UUA Board Of Trustees meetings that he has attended over the last couple of years. . . In light of what UUA President Peter Morales has quite openly said during UUA Board Of Trustees meetings, and about UUA Board meetings, I have reasonable grounds to believe that he is not so subtly suggesting that plenty of UUA Board meetings, or at least significant portions thereof, fall into the “substitutes for action” category.

I *could* go on but I will leave it at that for now. . .

UUA President Peter Morales Informs His Holiness The Dalai Lama That Buddhism Is One Of Those "Obsolete Religions Created For Another Time". . .

After all Buddhism *is* one of those "old religions" that "lead to tribalism, violence, suspicion, hatred, and oppression" aka "obsolete religions created for another time" that "contribute to the darkness" of "hatred, injustice, prejudice, ignorance" that Rev. Peter Morales publicly trashed in his apparently "memory-holed" 'A Religion For Our Time' sermon. . .

When Will UUA President Rev. Peter Morales Meet With Victims & Survivors Of Clergy Misconduct aka Clergy Abuse Committed By Abusive UU Clergy?

And publicly share his emotionally charged reflections about *that* meeting. . .

Just asking, as they say.

In this Tweet which is in direct response to this Tweet by the UUA's International Programs Office about UUA President Rev. Peter Morales sharing his reflections following meeting with undocumented students.

I submitted pretty much the same question as a comment on the 'From the Road: Tucson' post on the 'Faith Without Borders' blog that this International Programs Tweet linked to -

"So just when will UUA President Rev. Peter Morales meet with victims & survivors of clergy misconduct committed by abusive UU clergy and publicly share his emotionally charged reflections about that meeting?"

That comment is allegedly "awaiting moderation" but I don't *really* expect UUA "moderators" aka censors to actually allow my comment to be posted to the UUA's 'Faith Without Integrity' blog. . .

Oops! Needless to say, I meant the UUA's 'Faith Without Borders' blog.

Here are two screen shots of the comment as it was submitted -

Allow me to hereby throw UUA President Peter Morales' emotionally charged words right back in his two faces. . .

What madness! What human waste! I find myself wanting to scream. I find myself feeling as powerless as they* are feeling. But I know that UUA President Peter Morales is not powerless, that the UUA Board Of Trustees and other UUA leaders are not powerless to provide restorative justice for ALL victims of UU clergy misconduct and finally getting around to responsibly reforming the UUA's and MFC's seriously flawed clergy misconduct policies and procedures. . .

* Oh wait. . . I *am* a victim of non-sexual UU clergy misconduct aka UU clergy abuse.

How Unitarian Universalists Affirm And Promote Abusive Clergy - A U*UTube Video Explaining The Emerson Avenger's UNSAFE SECT? Picket Sign Slogan

This U*UTube video, shot on Sunday February 5th 2012 in front of the Unitarian Church Of Montreal aka The Church Of The Tarnished Image, does a pretty good job of explaining how Unitarian Universalists "affirm" and quite literally "promote" abusive UU clergy.

My UNSAFE SECT? picket sign slogan is accompanied by a second complementary and explanatory picket sign slogan saying -

Not that the "tiny, declining, fringe religion" aka sect known as Unitarian Universalism is not "less than safe" aka unsafe according to its own definitions of congregational safety, as presented in the UUA's 'Safe Congregation Handbook' in a variety of other ways. . .

The Emerson Avenger stands on the side of love for ALL victims
and survivors of UU clergy misconduct and clergy abuse outside
of UUA corporate headquarters at 25 Beacon Street in Boston
following the April 2010 UUA Board of Trustees meetings.

The UUA, and implicated Unitarian Universalist congregations, do in fact *affirm* abusive UU ministers by knowingly and willfully whitewashing them and pretending that they have done nothing wrong, even going so far as to all but officially endorse the intolerant and/or abusive behaviour of "less than perfect" UU ministers. . . The UUA & MFC quite literally promote abusive UU clergy in at least two meanings of the word "promote" as per the dictionary definition reproduced below. Abusive UU clergy are promoted by being advanced in rank to more prominent positions and roles within the ranks of Unitarian Universalist ministry and UUA leadership. For *example* Rev. Ray Drennan was *promoted* to the position of serving on one of the Regional Sub-Committees On Candidacy of the UUA's ever so aptly named Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee some years after my clergy misconduct complaint arising from his anti-religious intolerance and bigotry was dismissed out of hand by former UUA President *the* Reverend Doctor John "A. for AssHat" Buehrens and the Executive Secretary of the MFC Rev. Diane Miller.

Abusive UU ministers are also promoted in terms of "advertising" and publicity provided to them by the UUA, such as having glowing articles about them being published in the UU World magazine and blog etc.

The following definitions of the words "affirm" and "promote" come courtesy of -

af·firm   [uh-furm]
verb (used with object)

1. to state or assert positively; maintain as true: to affirm one's loyalty to one's country; He affirmed that all was well.

2. to confirm or ratify: The appellate court affirmed the judgment of the lower court.

3. to assert solemnly: He affirmed his innocence.

4. to express agreement with or commitment to; uphold; support: to affirm human rights.

pro·mote [pruh-moht]
verb (used with object), -mot·ed, -mot·ing.

1. to help or encourage to exist or flourish; further: to promote world peace.

2. to advance in rank, dignity, position, etc. ( opposed to demote).

3. Education . to put ahead to the next higher stage or grade of a course or series of classes.

4. to aid in organizing (business undertakings).

5. to encourage the sales, acceptance, etc., of (a product), especially through advertising or other publicity.

Standing On The Side Of Love For Unitarian Universalist Clergy Misconduct Victims & Survivors During Standing On The Side Of Love Month 2012

Here are a few recently shot U*UTube videos of The Emerson Avenger "Standing On The Side Of Love" for any and all victims and "survivors" of clergy misconduct aka clergy abuse perpetrated by "less than perfect" Unitarian Universalist clergy and perpetuated for decades by the gross negligence and effective complicity of several successive UUA Presidents' administrations, the UUA Board of Trustees, the UUA Board sub-committee known as the Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee aka MFC, the Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association aka UUMA, and any and all other "ordinary" Unitarian Universalists who have followed in the footsteps of obstinately DIM Thinking Montreal Unitarians who have willfully ignored my picket signs for more than 13 "less than lucky" years now.

The UUA Board Of Trustees And Its Very Aptly Named Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee Have Failed Victims Of UU Clergy Sexual Misconduct

But don't take *my* word for it UUs, take the word of the "good cop" of the UU World, the female UU clergy sexual misconduct victim / survivor known as UUgrrl, as posted in the concluding paragraphs of the brand-spanking new 'The MFC Policies: A Failure of Justice' post of her recently resurrected 'Speaking Truth To Power' blog -

Given how disrespectful, unsafe and complicated the policies remain, it’s clear the MFC has either failed to consult with former complainants or has completely disregarded their feedback.

Moreover, the Board is complicit. Ultimately the policies of the UUA are the Board’s responsibility. And they too have had over 10 years to fix these problems.

Thus both the MFC and the Board have failed victims of UU clergy sexual misconduct. In so doing they have failed to ensure safety in congregations. In other words, the senior leaders of the UUA have failed all Unitarian Universalists throughout our country.

In failing to provide a fair system to adjudicate cases of UU clergy sexual misconduct, they have not only failed complainants, they have failed to live up to UU principles. There is not one scrap of justice, equity or compassion for victims in the MFC policies.

end quote

In fact it is my understanding that the UUA's ever so aptly named Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee is actually a sub-committee of the UUA Board of Trustees and thus should be directly answerable to the UUA Board. Indeed Section 7.1 of Article VII of the UUA Governance & Management Bylaws lists six Committees of the Board of Trustees with the Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee being the second Board Committee listed after the Executive Committee. So the UUA Board of Trustees is *very* complicit in the past and ongoing failure, indeed the apparent obstinate refusal. . . of its Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee to genuinely honour and uphold the First and Second Principles of Unitarian Universalism which "affirm and promote" the inherent worth and dignity of every person, and justice, equity and compassion in human relations.

That's all for now. . .

Lies. . . Damned Lies. . . And Statistics Unitarian Universalist Style. . . Some Facts About The Faith Communities Today (FACT) Study Statistics

Or perhaps I should have titled this particular TEA blog post 'Lies, Damned Lies, And Statistics Rev. Peter Morales' Style. . .' since it is in direct response to UUA President Peter Morales' rather questionable (mis)interpretation of the Faith Communities Today (FACT) study statistics as they apply to Unitarian Universalism aka The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ in the brand-spanking new 'Comparing Congregational Attendance' post of his ironically titled 'Beyond Belief' blog. Without further ado here is the brand-spanking new critical comment that I just submitted in response to Rev. Peter Morales' somewhat delU*Usional blog post. I have little or no reason to believe that UUA President Peter Morales will release it from "moderation" aka censorship -

Actually all that that FACT survey data *really* shows that it's quite a bit easier for the 900+ *tiny* congregations of The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ to register a 10% attendance increase than it is for the usually significantly larger congregations of "mainstream" denominations to have one. And dare I point out that the attendance increase percentage for Evangelical churches is only marginally lower than that of the UUA yet Evangelical churches individually and collectively have vastly higher attendance figures to begin with? It should also be noted that the UUA's own certified congregation statistics show that many UU churches have only one-third to one-half of their official adult membership attending Sunday services which suggests that on any given Sunday only 50,000 to 80,000 adult UUs bother to attend a Unitarian Universalist church service. . .

You said it Peter, Unitarian Universalism is "a tiny, declining, fringe religion" and no amount of manipulation of church statistics is going to change that any time soon. . . In fact, even if the Unitarian Universalist Association Of Congregations miraculously tripled its adult membership by persuading those 500,000 or so somewhat mythical Americans who choose to identify themselves as being Unitarian Universalists in U.S. census data etc., but who do not actually belong to any bricks & mortar UU congregations*, to become a signed-up member of a UU "church", Unitarian Universalism would still be a tiny fringe religion, albeit no longer a declining one for the time being.

In fact the high percentage of UU congregations reporting "lots of new volunteers" *could* very well be an indication that many of the "old volunteers" are simply no longer capable of participating in church life because they are too old and frail, if not quite literally "corpse-cold Unitarians". . . I certainly see plenty of evidence of this phenomenon at the Unitarian Church of Montreal whose membership has been "aging and dwindling" for well over a decade now. "Lots of new volunteers" does NOT equal "lots of new members", or even significantly increased church attendance, it just means that different people take over the work of the old volunteers who are no longer able to volunteer their services to their "church". According to this quite realistic scenario a smaller percentage of UU congregations reporting "lots of new volunteers" might actually be a healthier statistic. . .

The sad fact is that these Faith Communities Today (FACT) study statistics *may* well be announcing the death knell, or at least further decline, of The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ rather than being any indication of its real or *imagined* potential to somehow be magically transformed into "*The* Religion For Our Time" as per your UUA presidential campaign slogan which, quite frankly, is as beyond belief now as it was back in 2008. . .

So just where *is* your 25 year plan for transforming The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ into "*The* Religion For Our Time" Peter?

I never saw it, and I don't think anyone else did either. . .

* Including BTW the UUA's largest virtual congregation known as "The Church Of The Larger Fellowship" which these alleged or self-professed non-churchgoing "UUs" *could* join easily enough if they bothered to choose that UU fate. . .

Are UU Clergy Misconduct Complainants aka Whistleblowers The Lepers Of The UU World?

Rev. Naomi King has referenced a story of Jesus' healing a leper, as reported in Mark 1:40-45, in a 'City of Refuge' blog post about ostracism and reincorporation titled 'Reclaiming Possibility'. The Emerson Avenger could not help but notice how Rev. Naomi's words in this particular blog post were all too applicable to how those persons of inherent worth and dignity who dare to complain about UU clergy misconduct of various kinds are often ostracized by their "less than welcoming" and indeed "less than safe" UU congregations and/or the UUA, so he submitted the following comment, which is but a slight reworking of Rev. Naomi King's words, in response to her blog post with some hyperlinks added to it -

Reporting UU clergy misconduct is a "death sentence" in modern times. UU clergy misconduct whistleblowers are set aside, isolated and apart from UU society. They can no longer live with the people they went to church with. They might even lose the work that fed them. They lose their place in the UU World. They are feared. . .

This social sickness of the UUs (to say nothing of other denominations) is often worse and more difficult to overcome than the abusive clergy misconduct that the whistle-blower dared to complain about in the first place. *This* particular ostracized man chose the fate of being being turned away by UUs, indeed "excommunicated" by the Unitarian Church of Montreal, by choosing to reach out to the proverbial Court Of Public Opinion via his "alternative spiritual practice" of publicly protesting against UU anti-religious intolerance and bigotry, UU clergy misconduct of all kinds, and a variety of other UU injustices and abuses.

Is that civil enough for UUs?

Honest Abe aka Abraham Lincoln aka The Ancient One Dumps On Former UUA President Bill Sinkford For Evading Responsibility For UU Clergy Misconduct

The following somewhat embar*ass*ing LOL U*Us image of former UUA President Bill Sinkford aka Rev. William G. Sinkford at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. comes as a result of the serendipitous "coincidence" of A) having a medium resolution copy of this old photograph of *the* Reverend Bill Sinkford fall into my hands yesterday and B) this Tweet of a pertinent Abraham Lincoln quotation sent to me from Brent Hunter earlier today. . .

And yes U*Us, *some* Unitarian Universalists have tried to claim former United States president Abraham Lincoln as a "famous U*U" (as it were) based on some rather questionable evidence that The Great Emancipator aka Honest Abe was an erstwhile Universalist.

Clergy Abuse Unitarian Universalist Style And The Big Fat U*U Clergy Image Of *The* Reverend Doctor Victoria Weinstein - What's The Connection?

Apparently a person of inherent worth and dignity hailing from Belleville, Illinois, in the United States of America, was more or less just asking Google early this morning. . . This person's free and responsible search for the Truth and meaning of clergy abuse in Google Images caused them to click on the thumbnail image of this Google Images Result of Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein's poorly chosen fate of deciding that it was within her purview as a Big Fat U*U "Pastor" serving an historic New England Unitarian Universalist congregation to kick the somewhat delinquent child of one of her parishioners in the U*U twice, and *hard*. . . some years back now.

Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang goes on and on and on about how important "clergy image" is in terms of the clothes and shoes and other fashion accessories (such as faux leopard skin sweaters and gigantic costume jewelry pearl necklaces. . .) that clergy present themselves in, yet Peacebang doesn't seem to be the least bit concerned about how important "clergy image" is in terms of the words that clergy utter and the actions that clergy take. Sadly, the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations aka the UUA don't seem to care very much about the highly questionable, or indeed just plain shameful. . . "clergy image" that is projected by the deeply insulting, outright defamatory, intolerant and bigoted, or otherwise verbally and psychologically abusive words that Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein, Rev. Ray Drennan, Rev. Cynthia P. Cain and any number of other "less than perfect" U*U clergy spout, as these verbatim copies of my "electronic communications" with former UUA Congregational Services Director Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris, and former UUA Director of Ministry and Professional Development and Executive Secretary of the UUA's all too aptly named Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee Rev. Beth Miller, make abundantly obvious. . . In fact the UUA and it's Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee don't seem terribly concerned about verbally and psychologically abusive, and indeed physically abusive, Unitarian Universalist ministers applying their ever so fashionable boots to the butts of the congregants' delinquent children do they U*Us?

A Montreal Unitarian U*U Falsely Accuses Me Of Blocking The Sidewalk & Two SPVM Police Officers Are Called To The Proverbial "Scene Of The Crime". . .

aka the Unitarian Church of Montreal

aka The Church Of The Tarnished Image. . .

While engaging in my "alternative spiritual practice" of protesting against the anti-religious intolerance and bigotry of narrow-minded "fundamentalist atheist" Unitarian Universalists and the UUA's "terrible track record" of negligence towards and complicity in ALL kinds of clergy misconduct aka clergy abuse, both clergy sexual misconduct and non-sexual forms of clergy misconduct, a "greeter" from the Unitarian Church Of Montreal approaches me and falsely accuses me of blocking the sidewalk while I am shooting a video explaining my protest.

An altercation in which this Montreal Unitarian U*U rather rudely demands that I move my U*U and then gets upset when I have the audacity to "less than politely" inform him that he is "full of shit" in his false accusations that I am blocking the sidewalk. A Montreal Unitarian woman walking past us while this altercation is taking place name-calls me a "crazy person" which only goes to prove that Montreal Unitarian Universalists are amazingly slow learners, and more than a little bit crazy in their own right. . .

Soon after this little altercation an SPVM squad car quite predictably shows up at the Unitarian Church Of Montreal and two SPVM police officers have a somewhat philosophical discussion with me regarding my alleged blocking of the sidewalk. It should be obvious by the readily observable fact that several people walk by on the sidewalk between me and the camera (which is on a tripod placed just off the outside edge of the sidewalk in the street) that I am in no way physically blocking the sidewalk, indeed the first part of the second video documenting my discussion with the SPVM police officers (as well as the first video of the altercation) clearly shows that I am standing on the inner edge of the sidewalk allowing plenty of room for pedestrians to walk past me and my picket signs. The second video illustrates how *some* SPVM police officers seem to believe that Montreal municipal bylaws take precedence over the constitutionally guaranteed right to engage in peaceful public protest that is enshrined in the Canadian Charter Of Rights & Freedoms. It should be obvious that the female SPVM police officer who repeatedly accuses me of blocking the sidewalk in this video is not only overstepping her authority a bit, but is just plain wrong. . .

Update: Monday February 6, 2012 12:45PM - I just uploaded to U*UTube the second and final part of my conversation with two SPVM police officers yesterday regarding my alleged blocking of the sidewalk in front of the Unitarian Church of Montreal -
