The Emerson Avenger

The Emerson Avenger is a "memory hole" free blog where censorship is scorned. This blog will "guard the right to know" about any injustices and abuses that corrupt Unitarian Universalism. Posters may speak and argue freely, according to conscience, about any injustices and abuses, or indeed hypocrisy, that they may know about so that the Avenger, in the form of justice and redress, may come surely and swiftly. . . "Slowly, slowly the Avenger comes, but comes surely." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

In 1992 I underwent a profound revelatory experience of God which revealed that the total solar eclipse "Eye of God" is a "Sign in the Heavens" that symbolizes God's divine omniscience. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan of the Unitarian Church of Montreal contemptuously dismissed as my "psychotic experience" here: - This revelatory religious experience inspired me to propose an inter-religious celebration of Creation that would take place whenever a total solar eclipse took place over our planet. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan and other leading members of the Unitarian Church of Montreal falsely and maliciously labeled as a "cult" here: - I am now an excommunicated Unitarian whose "alternative spiritual practice" includes publicly exposing and denouncing Unitarian*Universalist injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy. The Emerson Avenger blog will serve that purpose for me and hopefully others will share their concerns here. Dee Miller's term DIM Thinking is used frequently and appropriately on this blog. Is The Robin Edgar Sucks Blog To Be Taken Seriously? Just Asking U*Us. . .

The alleged "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog has responded to my recent blog posts by asking if I am to be taken seriously. I dare say that that question might be much better applied to the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog who have now repeatedly shown themselves to by a bunch of remarkably foolish Big Fat U*U Clowns aka Ass Clowns. . .

I think that I will just thoroughly re*butt the 'Is Robin Edgar to be Taken Seriously?' blog post point-by-point below -

:Robin Edgar lashes out and insults people for being UU, demanding what he calls ‘restorative justice’.

I do not "lash out" and insult people simply for being Unitarian*Universalists. The "collective authorship" of the RES blog would have a hard time proving that allegation. I am almost always criticizing specific injustices, abuses and hypocrisies of specific U*Us. It is extremely rare for me to over-generalize and paint all U*Us with the same brush but the fact remains that *collectively* the whole Unitarian*Universalist religious community is guilty of abjectly failing or obstinately refusing to responsibly redress the diverse U*U injustices and abuses that I have been demanding some genuine restortive justice for for well over a decade now.

Oh and it's not what *I* call ‘restorative justice’ as per the dubious words of the "collective authorship" of the RES blog. It's what Unitarian*Universalists themselves call 'Restorative Justice For All'. I am just demanding some genuine and tangible restorative justice for ALL victims of U*U clergy misconduct to say nothing of other U*U injustices and abuses. . .

:When people complain about his obnoxious behavior, or act surprised at the few times he can behave himself, he tells us that the mean-spirited foul-mouthed Emerson Avenger is just a ‘caricature persona’ and not the real Robin Edgar.

Well obviously the real Robin Edgar has created the Transcendentalist Super Hero dreaded U*U World-wide as The Emerson Avenger in much the same way that Rev. Victoria Weinstein has created her mean-spirited foul-mouthed Peacebang "persona". . . I mean Peacebang *is* just a "persona" right? Rev. Victoria Weinstein wouldn't *really* anally impale a "less than perfect" U.S. state senator on the Statue of Liberty's torch or kick a thief in the teeth would she? No U*Us? For the broken U*U record most of the "mean-spirited foul-mouthed" words that appear on this blog or on my picket signs come straight from the mouths of mean-spirited and foul-mouthed U*U clergy like Rev. Ray Drennan and Rev. Victoria Weinstein to say nothing of other "less than polite" U*U ministers I have the misfortune to know. . . I would not be standing outside the Unitarian Church of Montreal with a picket sign saying -

If Rev. Ray Drennan, Frank Greene, John Inder, and several other "mean-spirited foul-mouthed" Montreal Unitarians had not falsely and maliciously slandered Creation Day as a "cult" would I U*Us?

Likewise I would not be displaying a comparatively new picket sign slogan saying -

if the "mean-spirited foul-mouthed" Rev. Victoria Weinstein, oops I mean her online "persona" Peacebang. . . had not dreamed up a "sodomy fantasy" luridly imagining U.S. state senator Bill Napoli "anally impaled on the Statue of Liberty's torch" and this "sodomy fantasy" and other "mean-spirited" and "foul-mouthed" insulting and defamatory language of Peacebang had not been all but officially approved by "resigned" Congregational Services Director Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris and "laid off" Ministerial Fellowship Executive Secretary Rev. Beth Miller. No U*Us?

And what is this Big Fat U*U BS about people acting surprised at "the few times" I can behave myself? The fact of the matter is that I behave very well, indeed significantly better than many of the U*Us I know, most of the time. . .

:When Robin Edgar twists and distorts other people’s words to make it look like they are on his side, and is called to account for it, he berates his critics after the fact for not getting his ‘satire’.

Correct. Because the Big Fat U*U Idiots who comprise the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog quite evidently do not *get* the parody and satire that are quite abundant on The Emerson Avenger blog to say nothing of failing miserably to *get* some other things that most people of intelligence and conscious are perfectly capable of *getting* aka understanding and even *appreciating*. Only complete imbeciles would believe that I was actually trying to "make it look like" UUA President Peter Morales is "on my side" in this parody blog post. I can see it all now. . . the next RES blog post is going to reveal the embarrassing Truth that The Emerson Avenger does not *really* have a U*U Jihad Navy complete with stealth U*U Boats and *pirated* Iowa Class battleships capable of firing deadly broadsides into the hypocritical asses of "less than perfect" U*U clergy. . .

:Of course, he can’t stand it when somebody else satirises him with parody blogs such as the ‘Ellery Avenger’.

Oh really? What would make anyone think that I "can’t stand it" when somebody else satirises (sic) me with the The Ellery Avenger blog? It's amazing what mind-readers the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog are. Not only do they know exactly what the dreaded Emerson Avenger thinks at any given moment but they even *pretend* to know what UUA Trustee Linda Laskowski thinks. . .

:With all his alleged usage of caricatures and satire, how can we take Robin Edgar seriously?

Gee I dunno. . .

How can anyone take Jonathan Swift, Mark Twain, Stephen Leacock, or Charlie Chaplin seriously?

:How can he honestly expect to be taken serious with such outrageous attacking behavior?

Is my "outrageous attacking behavior" *really* any more outrageous than the outrageous attacking behavior of Rev. Ray Drennan, Reverend Doctored Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang, Rev. Cynthia P. Cain and other "less than excellent" U*U ministers who launch outrageous attacks on people? Heck I thought that I was mocking and ridiculing such "less than perfect" U*U ministers with my "Eat Your Words" Diet. . .

:We would submit first that there is good reason to doubt these claims. They are always after the fact, always in response to criticism, and always yet another bizarre attempt to paint all UUs bad and Robin Edgar as the poor pitiful victim.

ROTFLMU*UO! There is virtually no "good reason" to doubt the fact that I have been taking the piss out of U*U hypocrites with a certain amount of parody and satire for quite a few years now. Only total imbeciles like the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog could possibly fail to see *that*. . . I challenge *anyone* to present evidence that I "paint all UUs bad" as alleged by the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog here. I fail to see how "painting" myself as the dreaded Emerson Avenger aligns with allegedly "painting" myself as "the poor pitiful victim." They seem to be mutually exclusive "paintings". . .

:Robin Edgar is no victim.

No of course not. . .

:He is the one who has engaged on a campaign of harassment, intimidation and insults, sustained with years of rage and bitterness which he refuses to let go.

Any "harassment, intimidation and insults" that I may have engaged in over the years are retaliation aka payback for the well documented harassment, intimidation, and insults that I and other people have been subjected to by intolerant and/or abusive U*Us. There is no "rage" involved in my strong public criticism of U*U hypocrites. As was noted a decade ago by Montreal Mirror reporter George Maddux in his 'Seeing the signs' article of December 7th, 2000, I am actually quite "even-tempered" and even "erudite." This description of your's truly from almost a decade ago aligns very well with UUA Trustee Linda Laskowski's description of the dreaded Emerson Avenger in her blog post titled 'The Observer'. Please allow me to ever so eruditely point out that UUA Trustee Linda Laskowski said -

"by *all* accounts was respectful and relevant to the conversations at hand, as he was at the Saturday and Sunday board meetings."

So Linda Laskowski is obviously suggesting that she was by no means alone in her assessment of my behavior during the April 2010 UUA Board of Trustees meetings as being "respectful and relevant to the conversations at hand." I do not know how many "accounts" she heard but I expect they comprised a representative cross-section of the UUA Board of Trustees. To date I have not heard anyone suggest that my "observations" (as it were) were not "respectful and relevant to the conversations at hand" although I don't mind saying that a few of my "observations" were not in fact all that respectful even if they were delivered in a very *even-tempered* and erudite manner.

If there is a certain amount of bitterness involved it is due in no small measure to the fact that U*Us have repeatedly said and done things that would cause *anyone* to be just a tad bitter. . .

:He is the one who has slowly but surely escalated his attacks.

Slowly indeed. . . Like over a decade's worth of *slowly* but surely. Some people would call that admirable *restraint*. Need I remind U*Us that Linda Laskowski and a few other UUA Trustees specifically thanked me for the *restraint* that I showed in sharing my concerns with the Board? The fact of the matter is that I have shown far more restraint than a good many other people would have shown over the course of this conflict. My "attacks" aka legitimate strong criticism of U*U injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy, have usually only escalated in response to U*Us saying and doing things that escalated the conflict.

:He is the one who keeps demanding ‘justice’, all the while refusing to describe what exactly he wants, rejecting apologies, and pushing incessantly to fill his desperate, immature need for attention and control.

That's right. I demand *justice*. Justice that U*Us have not only obstinately refused to provide but have punished me for daring to demand. . . I have only rejected *one* sorry excuse for an apology. There have been no other apologies provided to me by U*Us to date. If anyone has a desperate, immature need for attention and control it is Totalitarian Unitarians such as the late lamentable self-described "Citizens' Police Officer" Peter Kohl aka U*U COP.

:Robin Edgar is a hypocrite.

The "collective authorship" of a blog that makes a total mockery of virtually every principle and ideal that Unitarian*Universalists claim to "affirm and promote" is calling *me* a hypocrite?

:He constantly accuses UUs of false charges,

Really? Just what "false charges" have I accused U*Us of? Or are you saying that I accuse U*Us of making false charges against me? The vast majority of the accusations that I have brought against U*Us are backed by an abundance of evidence that supports those accusations.

:then when shown to be guilty,

Where have I *ever* been "shown to be guilty" (beyond any reasonable doubt. . .) of bringing false accusations against U*Us? And just where have I been "shown to be guilty" of any accusations brought against me by U*Us? More often than not U*Us operate on a "guilty until proven innocent" basis which is the exact opposite of how justice is supposed to work in America.

:proclaims that he will continue to lash out at UUs because he insists that UUs are all lashing out at him.

What a load of Big Fat U*U BS I have *never* accused ALL U*Us of lashing out at me. I have good relations with a significant number of U*U bloggers.

:Just recently, he has demonstrated such hypocrisy by strongly speculating without one shred of evidence that the young man with a mohawk who stole his picket sign outside the Unitarian Church of Montreal is most likely a UU.

Wrong. I simply said that the picket sign thief *could* be a member of the Unitarian Church of Montreal in response to David Rollert's snark to the effect that -

"Even the neighbor's are sick of you."

This is by no means equivalent to "strongly speculating" that the thief is "most likely" a U*U even if he *is* "most likely" an ass. . .

:Here he is, berating UUs for false accusations, yet freely doing so himself.

I made no "false accusations" against anyone in this case. It is entirely possible that the picket sign thief was either a member of the Unitarian Church of Montreal or otherwise associated with Montreal Unitarians. Montreal Unitarians have in fact stolen my picket signs in the past. The sorry excuse for a Queen's Counsel lawyer Kenneth Howard QC was even subjected to "non-judicial treatment" for his criminal acts after copping a plea when I had him charged with theft and assault.

:UUs are bad in Robin Edgar’s world, so anybody who does bad against him must be a UU. Seriously, now!

Seriously my U*U. . .

:We submit that Robin Edgar is to be taken serious, but not in the way he would have. Anybody who would invest so much time and energy on such a vendetta must be taken seriously as a potential threat.

Well I obviously am a "potential threat", but not in the way that the alleged "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog would insinU*Uate with their Big Fat U*U InU*Uendo here. . . If I wasn't a "potential threat" of some kind Montreal Unitarians and the UUA would not have invested aka *wasted* so much of *their* time and energy trying to silence my legitimate criticism and dissent.

No U*Us?

Yes, quite regrettably for U*Us U*U World-wide, my policy of responding to the insulting and defamatory lies that *some* foolish U*Us dare to tell about me by revealing some rather embarrassing (but usually readily provable) Truths about "less than perfect" U*Us is not only a "potential threat" it is an actual and ongoing Big Fat U*U *Problem* for The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™.

More later perhaps. . .

Are Parody And Satire Beyond The Comprehension Of The Collective Of Imbeciles Who Comprise The "Collective Authorship" Of The Robin Edgar Sucks Blog?

Apparently so. . .

Only a total imbecile, or indeed a "collective" of Big Fat U*U Idiots. . . could possibly fail to comprehend that The Emerson Avenger blog post titled 'UUA President Peter Morales Kicks The "Collective Authorship" Of The Robin Edgar Sucks Blog In Their Big Fat U*U Balls' is a work of parody and satire irreverently poking fun at hypocritical U*Us, and thus is hardly intentionally "misleading" to *intelligent* readers of The Emerson Avenger blog. Considering that I provided a direct link to President Peter Morales' original statement that I was parodying in the parody blog post itself, only a collective of complete imbeciles, or a collective of Big Fat U*U Liars. . . would dare to accuse me of "outright misrepresentation" intended to mislead TEA blog readers into believing that UUA President Peter Morales *really* condemned the remarkably sucky Robin Edgar Sucks blog with words similar to his public condemnation of Arizona's Senate Bill 1070.

It never ceases to amaze me how *some* stunningly foolish U*Us will so idiotically grasp at straws to try to demean and discredit me or indeed demonize and marginalize me, to borrow a phrase from UUA President Peter Morales. And this is but one single example of the numerous highly misleading half-truths, complete falsehoods, and outright lies that are ever so liberally sprinkled throughout the sucky Robin Edgar Sucks blog. Regrettably there are rather too many more deceptive half-truths, complete falsehoods, and outright lies where this U*U BS came from. . . So I hereby take this opportunity to once again formally remind U*Us that, as long as hypocritical U*Us are allowed to tell insulting and defamatory lies about me, I will be retaliating by telling some "less than flattering" truths about U*Us.

Ensemble Pour Mieux Servir Montreal Police Officers Search For Yet Another U*U Picket Sign Thief. . .

That's right U*Us.

*Somebody* decided to make off with yet another picket sign while I was protesting in front of the Unitarian Church of Montreal this morning. The thief appeared to be youngish, I would guess in his early to mid twenties although he could have been a bit younger or even in his early thirties, and seemed to have a shaved head with a kind of short mohawk. He ran off at a fair clip so I did not even bother trying to chase him since he had a head start of about a hundred feet or so and the picket sign can be replaced for under $10.00. I do not know if this petty thief was a member of the Unitarian Church of Montreal or not but he was definitely an U*U as in an ass. . .

The members of the Unitarian Church of Montreal who witnessed the theft of my picket sign, including Laura Greggain the wife of John Pike who had previously been photographing and/or videoing my protest, claimed not to know the thief. Most ironically the slogan on one side of the sign was -

One of my "classic" picket sign slogans that is quite popular with the public.

Who knows?

Maybe the thief liked that picket sign slogan so much he decided that he just *had* to have it as a souvenir.

Thankfully my other "classic" picket sign slogans that say -

were firmly grasped in my right hand.

The thief made off with one of my free standing picket signs that had been leaning up against a tree trunk facing east.

Most serendipitously a Montreal police car showed up within less than a minute of the theft, indeed it seemed more like thirty seconds or so following it, no doubt responding to an earlier call made by disgruntled Montreal Unitarians seeking to somehow get rid of me. Chances are pretty good that it was Laura Greggain who had called the police since she had been videoing and/or photographing my picket signs and seemed to be waiting for the police to show up. Laura seemed to be particularly displeased with my brand-spanking new picket sign slogan that says -

I flagged the police car down as it approached from the west and it pulled up to the curb right in front of me facing westbound traffic on de Maisonneuve Boulevard near the corner of Bulmer at the western extremity of the grounds of the Unitarian Church of Montreal. I reported the theft of my picket sign to the police officer driving the car and, making it clear to him that the theft had only just taken place, I told him that the thief had run eastwards on de Maisonneuve Boulevard and then turned left on Claremont and run up Claremont Street. I gave a minimal description of the thief, stating that he had a shaved head and mohawk, and asked the police officers if they could try to catch him. With virtually no hesitation the police car left the "scene of the crime" to try to find the rather petty picket sign thief.

As the police car drove off to try to catch the thief I walked eastwards back towards the entrance of the Unitarian Church of Montreal where Laura Greggain asked me where the police went. I informed her that they had gone to try to catch the thief and took the opportunity to point out that stealing picket signs is a real crime whereas my peaceful public protest against U*U injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy, including Big Fat U*U Sodomy Fantasies. . . is not a crime. Laura Greggain seemed a bit put out that her knights in shining patrol cars had driven off leaving this U*U Damsel in her distress. David Rollert, the husband of Rev. Diane Rollert, snarked -

"Even the neighbors are sick of you."

I responded by pointing out to David that the picket sign thief *could* be a member of the Unitarian Church of Montreal and that members of this alleged Unitarian Church of Montreal had stolen my pickets signs in the past.

When the police car did not return after several minutes I decided to go look for it since I thought that the delay in returning might be because they had caught the thief and were processing him in the car. I walked east on de Maisonneuve Boulevard and turned left up Claremont in the hope of finding the police car with the thief inside it. As I got to the corner of Sherbrooke and Claremont the police car pulled up to a red light to my right at the corner of Claremont and Sherbrooke. I asked the police officer driving the car if they had caught the thief . He responded that they had not caught him and were still looking for him. I asked the officer if he wanted to talk with me and he responded that he did not want to talk with me, and that was pretty much that. Since it was such a nice day, and since I had actually considered ending my protest somewhat earlier than usual, even before the theft occurred, I decided to pretty much call it a day. I passed the church on the way back to Vendome Metro station to see if the police were there but there was no sign of them so I headed home.

I will follow up on the theft of my picket sign later, especially since this rather petty thief *could* well be a "vigilante" member of the Unitarian Church of Montreal, but if the police did not already catch the thief I will probably let this one go. . . Unlike Montreal Unitarians I try not to repeatedly waste the time of Montreal police officers.

I should ad that I had several quite interesting conversations with Montreal Unitarians and non-Unitarian pedestrians prior to and following the theft of my picket sign. In fact the theft interrupted a conversation that I was in the middle of. I may blog about those conversations in a separate blog post later.

Rev. John Cullinan aka Obijuan Tells The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ That It Is A Minor League Religion If Not A Bush League Religion. . .

In the 'Why A General Assembly Boycott of Arizona Is Not An Option' post of his Returning blog -

Major league sports. Major league dollars. Major league civic ego stroking.

Dear friends, we bring none of this to the table. Sure, we boycotted Arizona, too. We know we did it. But I doubt highly there was anyone in a position of power in the entire state who was thinking, “Dammit, if we’ve lost the Unitarians, we’ve lost the country.”

If we’re being honest about what we, as a national movement, bring to the fight, we need to admit that a high profile national image on par with the National Football League (and the $$ that comes with that image) is not one of the arrows in our quiver. We will not, in the long run, accomplish anything by our absence. No one will notice.

end quote

Here is the comment that I submitted in response to Rev. John Cullinan's blog post -

Well said John.

I am sure that you will be thrilled to know that The Emerson Avenger heartily endorses your position here. :-)

Has Rev. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang Been Disowned By Her Own Mother(s)?

Just asking. . .

Linda Ronstadt sings 'Poor Poor Pitiful Me'
for Poor Poor Pitiful Peacebang on Mother's Day 2010

Well, I met a man out of Montreal
And I ain't namin' names
But he really worked me over good
Just like Jesse James

Yes, he really worked me over good
He was a credit to his gender
He put me through some changes Lord,
Sorta like The Emerson Avenger :-)

Do enjoy the ever so Democratic encore U*Us. . .

Preach it Linda!

As an extra special Mother's Day treat here is an underviewed YouTube video of Warren Zevon performing his original version of 'Poor Poor Pitiful Me' live somewhere in New Jersey.

Mother's Day And Unitarian Universalism - What's The Connection?

Can U*Us say Julia Ward Howe?

Mother's Day Proclamation - 1870

Arise then... women of this day!

Arise, all women who have hearts!

Whether your baptism be of water or of tears!

Say firmly:

"We will not have questions answered by irrelevant agencies,
Our husbands will not come to us, reeking with carnage,
For caresses and applause.

Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn
All that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience.

We, the women of one country,
Will be too tender of those of another country
To allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs."

From the bosom of a devastated Earth a voice goes up with Our own.

It says: "Disarm! Disarm!

The sword of murder is not the balance of justice."

Blood does not wipe out dishonor,
Nor violence indicate possession.

As men have often forsaken the plough and the anvil
At the summons of war,
Let women now leave all that may be left of home
For a great and earnest day of counsel.

Let them meet first, as women, to bewail and commemorate the dead.
Let them solemnly take counsel with each other as to the means
Whereby the great human family can live in peace...

Each bearing after his own time the sacred impress, not of Caesar,
But of God -

In the name of womanhood and humanity, I earnestly ask
That a general congress of women without limit of nationality,
May be appointed and held at someplace deemed most convenient
And the earliest period consistent with its objects,
To promote the alliance of the different nationalities,
The amicable settlement of international questions,
The great and general interests of peace.

end quote

In the interest of encouraging Unitarian*Universalists in general, and Unitarian*Universalist women in particular, to responsibly engage in "waging peace" with the dreaded Emerson Avenger I will, for the time being. . . spare Unitarian*Universalists aka U*Us the "less than flattering" hyperlinks to (in)appropriate Google searches and web pages which clearly *demonstrate* how Unitarian*Universalist women of *this* day have repeatedly made a total mockery of the letter and the Spirit of Julia Ward Howe's Mother's Day Proclamation through their "less than peaceful" words and actions.

Oh and I refrained from publicly protesting against diverse U*U injustices, abuses and hypocrisy in front of the self-described Unitarian Church of Montreal today, or attending today's Sunday service at the Lakeshore Unitarian Universalist Congregation so that I *might* share my serious concerns about a certain unmentionable female U*U minister who failed miserably to work towards the great and general interests of peace via the amicable settlement of certain international questions when given the opportunity to do so way back in 2006. . .

Is Rev. Nick Carter President Of Andover Newton Theological School A *Member* Of The Collective Authorship Of The Robin Edgar Sucks Blog?

It seems rather unlikely. . .

Indeed, after a somewhat cursory review of the faculty of Andover Newton Theological School it seems that most if not all of them are not prime suspects for being members of the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog if only because few if *any* of them are Unitarian*Universalists. Andover Newton Theological School President Rev. Nick Carter is the ANTS faculty member who seems to have the closest associations to The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ but, so far. . . I have not found any hard evidence that ANTS President Rev. Nick Carter is himself a member in The U*U Movement™, and *some* evidence which suggests that he is not actually an U*U.

This Internet Anonymity Guessing Game blog post has been brought to U*Us courtesy of *this* Robin Edgar Sucks blog post and *this* anonymous commenter since they would *appear* to be somewhat interconnected on the ever so interdependent web of the internet. . .

Update Sunday May 9 at 11ish TEA Time:

After some further Googling around I just dis*covered some online "hard evidence" which *strongly* suggests, if not conclusively proves, that ANTS President Rev. Dr. Nick Carter is not in fact a Unitarian*Universalist aka U*U.

Andover Newton Theological School And The Robin Edgar Sucks Blog - What's The Connection?

Based on circumstantial evidence which strongly suggests that one of the *members* of the self-described "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog hails from Newton Center Massachusetts I have reasonable grounds to believe that a U*U studying or teaching at Andover Newton Theological School aka ANTS is *one* of the authors of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog. In fact there is some additional evidence which would tend to suggest this. I dare say that the "collective authorship" of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog displays so much stupidity, if not complete idiocy, that I sometimes think that they must *collectively* possess the IQ of a small handful of ANTS. This does not bode well for the future of U*U ministry if one or more of the authors of the Robin Edgar Sucks blog are teaching U*U seminarians at Andover Newton Theological School.

Indeed *that* kinda sucks.

No U*Us?

That's all for now. . .

Walter Mixa Roman Catholic Bishop Of Augsburg Germany And Rev. Victoria Weinstein Of First Parish Norwell In Massachusetts - What's The *Connection*?

Walter Mixa, 69, was the bishop of Augsburg in southern Germany and of the German military. He tendered his resignation from both posts on the 21st of April 2010 after admitting to hitting children some 20 years ago. Pope Benedict XVI formally accepted Bishop Mixa's offer of resignation this week.

Rev. Victoria Weinstein, the self-described "small town pastor serving an historic New England Unitarian Universalist congregation" known as First Parish Norwell in Massachusetts, happily bragged about abusively kicking a U*U child in the U*U *hard* in both cheeks on the 'But They're SUCH Good Kids' post of her pseudonymous Peacebang blog. The last time I checked, Rev. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang has yet to tender her resignation as a U*U minister. . .

Herewith a Big Fat U*U Reminder of Reverend *Doctored* Victoria Weinstein's exact words -

I told the cop I would call Clark's mom and thank you. I put a kindly pastoral hand on Clark's shoulder. As soon as the cop was out of sight I gave Clark the side of my boot in the tushie, hard.

"THAT's for stealing," quoth I.

And then I booted him again.

"And THAT's for stealing CIGARETTES."

We talked for awhile (including about my own shoplifting days, and how awful it is to get caught, and how stupid and jackassed it is to do it at all, and how I would make him eat a pint of dirt if I ever found out he'd been smoking) and then I phoned his mother.

"I kept him here so you can kill him," I said.

end quote

Why is it that "less than perfect" Roman Catholic bishops tender their resignation for physically hitting children about 20 years ago, but "less than excellent" U*U minister Rev. Victoria Weinstein gets to unashamedly brag about her presumably much more recent physical assault on a U*U youth by twice kicking him *hard* in his sorry U*U ass on her Peacebang blog without Unitarian*Universalist U*Us so much as raising their eyebrows about it?

Do tell U*Us. . .

Lynn Mershon Calvin Kicks *The* Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris In The Balls With A Little Bit Of Help From Teresa Nielsen Hayden. . .

In the following comment posted to the rather questionable 'The View Of Berkeley From Here Is Downhill' post of ever so "Christian" U*U minister Rev. Scott Wells' 'Boy In The Bands' blog -

11. Lynn wrote:

I’ll add in to the analysis – (I was one of the group that worked through the process of the life ban from UUA lists and I was on his list for a very long time.)

Teresa Nielsen Hayden has a long analysis about moderation here:

One of the things Teresa says is “What I can do is refuse to respect bloggers and other site administrators who let it flourish on their own sites, or who provide cover for the anonymous vandals who post it.”

end quote

So Lynn Mershon Calvin aka Lynn Calvin just how much respect do you suppose that Teresa Nielsen Hayden, or indeed the dreaded Emerson Avenger. . . might have for "resigned" UUA Director of Congregational Services Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris and the "laid off" Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee Executive Secretary Rev. Beth Miller who *both* effectively ruled that "less than polite" aka "graceless and rude" Unitarian*Universalist ministers can insult and defame people to their corpse-cold Unitarian hearts' content as long as they do so under the cowardly cover of internet anonymity?

If you guessed "not bloody much" you are right on the money AFA*I*AC. . .

Ms. Kitty aka Rev. Kit Ketcham Has Shared Her Concerns With Pacific Central District Trustee Linda Laskowski

Here is my revised response to Rev. Kit Ketcham's comment posted to UUA Trustee Linda Laskowski's 'The Observer' post on her 'UUA View from Berkeley' blog. I posted a version of it to Linda Laskowski's blog but it may not be published. Rev. Kit Ketcham aka Ms. Kitty is cordially invited to respond to my response to her comment here in a manner that honors and upholds U*U principles and ideals -

Well said Ms. Kitty, but it would have been better said if you had been a bit more just, *equitable*, and compassionate in your comment and had publicly deplored the actions and words of *some* of your fellow bloggers, who happen to include some deeply insulting and outright abusive "less than excellent" U*U ministers.

My "hurtful words" are payback for many years worth of insults, condemnation, and abuse heaped upon me by intolerant and/or abusive U*Us. I try to ensure that only those U*Us who have insulted and defamed people, or otherwise verbally abused me and/or other people, or who have condoned and enabled such insults and abuse get the back of The Emerson Avenger's virtual hand, usually by making them chow down on their very own insulting and defamatory language with my "Eat Your Words Diet".

You are very well placed to publicly acknowledge that when U*Us use their round heads to change their minds about me, and choose to behave in a manner that honors and upholds U*U principles rather than making a total mockery of them, that I use my round head to change my mind about them. For the record there are a good number of U*U bloggers who I have had quite cordial and mutually respectful relations from Day One.

Because they treated me with dignity and respect when I shared my concerns about various matters, including some quite "difficult" ones, on their blogs. U*Us will be hard pressed to find any evidence of me going out of my way to insult Rev. Cynthia Landrum or Rev. Ricky Hoyt, or indeed a fair number of other U*U bloggers who have refrained from attacking me.

My policy of returning abuse for abuse goes back several years now, and I do not *always* exercise that prerogative, but as long as "less than excellent" U*U ministers are allowed to insult and defame people with complete impunity by the UUA and MFC, and "less than perfect" individual U*U churches, U*Us can be quite sure that the dreaded Emerson Avenger will be throwing their "graceless and rude", "insulting and defamatory", hurtful, harmful, and indeed quite damaging "less than professional" behavior right back at them.

The faster that the UUA Board of Trustees and the Rev. Peter Morales administration move to responsibly remedy the U*U injustices, abuses, and hypocrisies that I have been exposing and denouncing for over a decade now, the sooner The Emerson Avenger will tone down his *act*. U*Us can have the Robin Edgar who showed up in person at the April 2010 Board meeting and shared his concerns about the UUA's unjust, inequitable and far from compassionate (mis)handling of clergy misconduct complaints in a very calm, reasonable, rational and indeed dignified manner, or they can have The Emerson Avenger "poking fun" at U*Us for quite some time yet. I would prefer that U*Us choose the former fate rather than the latter one.

The Interdependent Web Page Of The UU World Blog And The Emerson Avenger Blog - What's The Connection?

In what I have reasonable grounds to believe is a UU World blog first, but hopefully not last. . . the authors of 'the interdependent web' "weekly roundup of blogs" of the UU World blog have seen fit to link directly to one of The Emerson Avenger blog posts about my Boston TEA Party which took place over the Boston Marathon weekend in its most recent post titled 'UU bloggers on immigration, declining membership, and board activity'. Here is the pertinent text from that UU World blog post -

UUA Board reports and UU governance

Linda Laskowski, UUA Trustee from the Pacific Central District, blogs at length about the recent UUA Board meeting. (“UUA View from Berkeley,” Overview, April 24; Commission on Appraisal Funding, April 25; Healthy Relationships, April 26; The Observer, April 28; Landlords of the UUA, April 29)

Laskowski’s post about “The Observer” discusses Robin Edgar’s attendance at the board meetings. (Edgar, who has been publicly protesting what he calls his mistreatment by the Unitarian Church of Montreal and by the UUA since the mid-1990s, also picketed outside two Boston UU churches during his visit. He describes the board meeting at his blog, April 21.) The Rev. Scott Wells takes exception to Laskowski’s characterisation of Edgar.

Laskowski clearly has not been for years on the receiving end of his incessant and profane harassment. Nor has she been a personal target of his slanderous screeds. Nor has she had to wrestle with excluding someone so profoundly, which in our tradition this is the deepest and final — and necessary — punishment. At the very least, she owes the Unitarian Church of Montreal an apology. And yes, I do hold UUA board members to a very high standard. (“Boy in the Bands,” April 30)

end quote

I guess the "collective authorship" of the UU World blog, which in this instance would appear to consist of Kenneth Sutton and UU World editor Chris Walton, made an editorial decision not to pay *too* much attention to that small interconnected and quite *interdependent* clique of "less than pleased" U*U bloggers who are calling for a total ban of any mention of your's truly on any U*U blog. While I am certainly quite pleased, even somewhat gratified, that the UU World blog mentioned UUA PCD Trustee Linda Laskowski's 'The Observer' blog post which presented her take on my role as an "observer" during the April 2010 UUA Trustees meeting(s), and even linked directly to my own initial report about my participation in the BOT meeting(s), I find the report somewhat "less than balanced" in that it extensively quotes "less than excellent" Universalist "Christian" U*U minister Rev. Scott Wells' Big Fat U*U Rant which accuses me of "incessant and profane harassment" and "slanderous screeds".

While I will not deny exposing and denouncing diverse U*U injustices, abuses and hypocrisy in a *steadfast* and *dedicated* and *persistent* manner, and occasionally even using a few "profane"* words here and there, as *some* "less than excellent" U*U ministers are happily allowed to do by the UUA and MFC. . . I hereby officially challenge Rev. Scott Wells to present evidence that *substantiates* his so far "unsubstantiated rumor" that I write "slanderous screeds." I am quite conscientious about telling the Truth on this blog and am quite unaware of any "screeds" I have written that can be justifiably described as "slanderous". So fire away Scott. Put up or shut up. Not that you will shut up once it becomes glaringly evident that you can't actually "put up" any compelling evidence that I have actually slandered any U*Us.

More about this later. . .

* I mean *really* U*Us. What could be more "profane" than Rev. Victoria Weinstein's Big Fat U*U Sodomy Fantasy luridly imaging U.S. state senator Bill Napoli "anally impaled on the Statue of Liberty's torch"? Actually, come to think of it. . . I can think of one or two other examples of Big Fat U*U Profanity that may well outdo Peacebang's remarkably "profane" sodomy fantasy, or at least run a close second, butt I will keep them to myself for the time being.

Rev. Andy Pakula On U*U InU*Uendo

The following is a comment that I submitted to the 'Growth - The New Orthodoxy' post of Rev. Andy Pakula's 'Throw Yourself Like A Seed' blog yesterday -

:Although the author of that letter did not mention any names, you - dear reader - can be certain that I am the target of the barbed phraseology of this letter in which the author pretends to fret about "stepping over newly defined boundaries of heresy."

Yes, U*Us are pretty good at that kind of thing where they criticize someone without actually naming them.

*I* call it inU*Uendo. . . :-)

They Came For The Emerson Avenger Again Today. . .

This blog post is a follow-up to a comment or two that I posted to the 'May I see your papers?' post of Rev. Cynthia Landrum's Rev. Cyn blog several days ago.

Well the Montreal police force came for the dreaded Emerson Avenger again today, and they came in force. . . No less than three police vehicles and half a dozen police officers were involved, and there may have been four or five police cars involved all told from start to finish which took all of about ten minutes or so. . .

One Petrina Lee Poy of the Unitarian Church of Montreal had called the police and, if I am to believe what one of the officers told me, had told the police that I was yelling at people as they entered the Unitarian Church of Montreal. "Crier" was the exact word that the police officer used, which is French for "shouting" or "yelling". The only problem is that it is extremely rare for me to raise my voice above a conversational level when I say a thing or two to Montreal Unitarians as they pass me on their way into "church" and, to the best of my recollection, I had said very little at all before Petrina Lee Poy called the police. I certainly had not shouted at anyone nor had I said a single word to Petrina Lee Poy herself. So why Petrina saw fit to call the Montreal police department to report to them that I was "shouting" or "yelling" at people coming to church is a Big Fat U*U Question that I believe needs to be answered. Surely the person or persons who I was allegedly shouting at should have been the one(s) to call the police.

No U*Us?

Unlike the three "cowboys" who showed up last Sunday, most if not all of the police officers I interacted with today acted reasonably professionally, even if they did possibly overstep the power and authority invested in them a bit. . . This is something that I will be attempting to determine in the coming days in discussions with legal advisers and police ethics advocates etc. I was not given a ticket for obstructing the sidewalk as the two "cowboys" had threatened a week ago and I certainly wasn't thrown into jail as those "cowboys" had also threatened last Sunday. The police officer(s) who I spoke with did assert that they *could* hit me with two or three tickets to the tune of over $400, for transgressing municipal bylaws, if I did not comply with their demands that I leave the "scene of the crime" as it were but, because I decided to comply with their demands, even if I found most of them to be quite questionable, no tickets were issued and I went on my merry way after having an interesting chat with the N.D.G. police. I might add that during that little chat I told the police that Montreal Unitarians have a bad habit of lying about my behavior in their deeply misguided efforts to force a permanent end to my peaceful public protest in front of the so-called Unitarian Church Of Montreal and that such lying amounted to calling in false alarms to the police.

The upshot of the whole discussion is that the N.D.G. police are insisting that I need to obtain a municipal permit in order to continue my peaceful public protest in front of the Unitarian Church of Montreal whereas I argued that, thanks to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, I did not believe that a permit was required for my protest. I told the police officers that this was the first time in about twelve years of protesting that police officers had stated that I required a permit to protest in front of the church. I guess all those numerous police officers who I spoke with over the last twelve years who never told me a permit was required must have been ignorant and incompetent or something for failing to responsibly inform me that a permit was required for my protest activities. . . I none-the-less undertook to look into the situation and, if necessary. . . obtain a permit or multiple permits for future protests in front of the alleged Unitarian Church of Montreal. Interestingly enough, in light of what happened last weekend, I had actually considered obtaining a permit for this week's protest just to wave it in the faces of the two "cowboys" if they had shown up again today, but decided that I had better things to do with my time. Still, if police insist that I obtain a permit for my protest I may well do just that even if it is not actually a legal requirement.

I will also most likely do what I warned Montreal Unitarians I would do if there was any further police harassment and questionable attempts by Montreal Unitarians to over-ride my constitutionally guaranteed right to engage in peaceful public protest in front of the Unitarian Church of Montreal.

And what might that be U*Us ask?

I suggest that U*U ask David Kersulis, current President of the Unitarian Church of Montreal, since he is the one who I warned way back in September of last year.

Here is his email address -

AFA*I*AC what I intend to do to punish Montreal Unitarians for trying to force an end to my peaceful public protest in front of their "church" is perfectly legal and will prove to be highly embarrassing not only to the Unitarian Church of Montreal but to the whole U*U religious community. If Montreal Unitarians want to continue to play hardball with me I will play hard ball with them, and I may even throw a few curve balls their way. . .

On the whole I think that U*Us would be much better advised to throw in the proverbial towel, responsibly acknowledge the diverse injustices, abuses, and hypocrisies that they are clearly and unequivocally guilty of either directly perpetrating or indirectly perpetuating, and enter into meaningful dialogue with me towards the end of negotiating a genuinely just and equitable, if not compassionate, resolution to this lU*Udicrously drawn out conflict.

And yes, the N.D.G. police officers did ask to see my papers.

Well my driver's license at least.

Happens a lot on front of the Unitarian Church of Montreal on any given Sunday. . .

U*U'd swear I was an illegal immigrant or something.

Is Debbie Weiner aka Deb Weiner One Of The "Concerned Individuals" Who Make Up The "Collective Authorship" Of The Robin Edgar Sucks Blog?

Just asking. . .

But I wouldn't be asking if U*U Deborah Weiner aka Debbie Weiner aka Deb Weiner was not a (former?) UUA employee and the owner of a Wordpress blog who has publicly presented herself as something of a "concerned individual" in the last few days. . .

Deborah Weiner aka Debbie Weiner Kicks The Dysfunctional Reverend *Doctored* Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang In The Balls. . .

Yesterday at 9:54am, over on the Facebook page of one Rev. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang, Big Fat U*U Censor-In-Chief Debbie Weiner aka Deborah Weiner aka Deb Weiner, *resigned* director of the UUA's *dissolved* Office of Electronic Communication, asked the following Big Fat U*U Question:

"Why is it that UUs have trouble setting appropriate limits? Somewhere between affirming worth and dignity and letting someone live out their disfunction (sic), there has to be a place for saying 'no.'"

A Letter Of Grievance That Unitarian*Universalists aka U*Us Have Yet To Responsibly Respond To. . .

A little bit of Googling around found this more than decade old letter of grievance posted as part of a comment I posted in response to the 'Final Report as an Ally' blog post of U*U Troll indrax aka James Andrix. Unitarian*Universalists in general, and Montreal Unitarians in particular. . . would be well advised to read it again for the first time to borrow a phrase from a Cornflakes advertisement. Without further ado here is the full text of my very first letter of grievance addressed to the congregants aka *members* of the Unitarian Church of Montreal after ALL of my previous letters of grievance which were filed with the Board of the Unitarian Church of Montreal, the UUA and its very aptly named Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee, and the CUC, were irresponsibly (to say nothing of negligently and complicitly. . .) dismissed out of hand.

Dear Fellow Member of the Unitarian Church of Montreal,

It is with great regret that I must inform you of the extremely unprofessional and demeaning response of Rev. Ray Drennan to my claim of a revelatory experience of God. Since arriving in Montreal as the settled minister of our church Rev. Drennan has displayed an intensely negative and even hostile attitude towards my claim of a revelatory religious experience and he has refused to cooperate in any way with my efforts to ensure that my claims are seriously responded to by the Unitarian Universalist religious community. During a meeting in September of 1995 it was implicit in a number of Rev. Drennan's responses to my claims that he questioned my sanity and, on the basis of what I had told him during this initial meeting, he said that he felt I was in need of "professional help".

On Thursday November 9th, 1995, Rev. Drennan met with me in my apartment so that I could brief him in more complete detail about my experience and the claims which arose from it. The reason that the meeting was held in my apartment was so that I could show Rev. Drennan an exposition which clearly illustrates how the total solar eclipse distinctly resembles the pupil and iris of a "cosmic eye" and how this fact and other symbolic aspects of this celestial phenomenon has had a tremendous impact on human religious belief. Throughout this meeting Rev. Drennan's comportment towards me was negative, hostile, sarcastic, and demeaning. Before I could even begin to explain my exposition to him he dismissively referred to my claims as "silliness and fantasy". When I attempted to explain my claims via the exposition Rev. Drennan repeatedly interrupted my discourse with negative and insulting comments such as, "So you're God's messenger and you're here to tell all the world's religions that they're wrong..." At one point during our meeting Rev. Drennan derisively referred to my claimed revelatory religious experience as, "your psychotic experience" and he angrily insisted that I was in dire need of immediate psychiatric help. Later in our meeting he referred to my religious activities which have been inspired by my experience such as Creation Day as "your cult" in a tone which was clearly hostile. When I asked him to elaborate on what he intended by his use of the word "cult" he said that he meant a cult in the sense of "a manipulative and secretive religious group".

Rev. Ray Drennan has obstinately refused to retract these false, demeaning, and damaging allegations about me or to apologize to me for making them, insisting that he was "only being honest" with me. I have seen fit to file formal grievances concerning Rev. Drennan's unprofessional and abusive comportment towards me with the Board of our church, the Canadian Unitarian Council in Toronto, as well as

(page break 1)

the Unitarian Universalist Association in Boston in the hope that they might persuade Rev. Drennan to issue a formal apology to me. The presidents of both the C.U.C. and the U.U.A. have made it quite clear to me that they consider this to be a congregational matter, although Dr. John Buehrens has forwarded my complaint to the head of the U.U.A.'s ministerial fellowship committee for review. Regrettably, the Board of our church has decided to attempt to sweep this deplorable matter under the carpet so I am now bringing it to the attention of our congregation myself since I in no way consider the response of the Board of the Unitarian Church of Montreal to be one which affirms or promotes justice, equity or compassion towards me. Rev. Ray Drennan's insulting and demeaning remarks about my claim of a revelatory experience of God and his false and damaging allegations about me in no way serve to either affirm or promote my own inherent worth and dignity, nor do they in any way affirm or promote acceptance of me or serve to encourage my own or anyone else's spiritual growth. If the leaders of our religious community are not willing to affirm and promote peace, liberty, and justice within our own religious community how can they possibly expect to undertake to do this with any amount of credibility in terms of the much larger "world community"? Rev. Drennan's unprofessional, demeaning, and damaging response to my claim of a revelatory religious experience and the failure of the Board of our church to respond "in responsibility" to this matter displays a distinct lack of respect for the interdependent web of existence of which we are a part. Rev. Ray Drennan's remarks are not only insulting and damaging to me but also to anyone who is associated with me and my efforts to ensure that my revelatory experience is responded to "in responsibility" by the religious community, and to anyone involved in the celebration of Creation Day. Furthermore, Rev. Drennan's remarks are extremely insulting to anyone who has claimed a revelatory experience of God now or in the past and thus, by extension, they serve to demean the theistic religious traditions of the world which affirm both revelatory and prophetic experiences of God. Above and beyond this, Rev. Drennan's negative, sarcastic, and mocking response to my claims regarding my revelatory religious experience ultimately insults the Creator of the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

I hereby appeal to you to help to ensure that my grievances about Rev. Ray Drennan's demeaning and damaging comportment towards me, as well as some grievances that I have about the church Board's treatment of me, are responsibly dealt with by our congregation in a manner that may clearly be seen to live up to both the letter and the spirit of our Unitarian Universalist principles. A sincere and formal apology made to me by Rev. Drennan would be a step towards promoting acceptance, respect, peace, and justice in our community.

Robin Edgar

A little over fourteen years down the road Montreal Unitarians, the UUA, and Unitarian*Universalists more generally, have yet to respond to that letter of grievance in an even remotely responsible manner which genuinely honors and upholds the Second Principle which calls for justice, equity and compassion in human relations.

Reverend *Doctored* Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang Kicks Herself In Her Big Fat U*U Balls And Her Big Fat U*U Hypocritical Ass. . .

PeaceBang wrote:

Thank you once again, Scott.

This is just another example — and one of the most egregious I’ve seen in my life as a UU — of a simpering, toothlessinclusivity” used to support, excuse, and enable destructive sickos.

“Well gee, she’s not destructive around ME” is hardly a moral argument.
