The Emerson Avenger

The Emerson Avenger is a "memory hole" free blog where censorship is scorned. This blog will "guard the right to know" about any injustices and abuses that corrupt Unitarian Universalism. Posters may speak and argue freely, according to conscience, about any injustices and abuses, or indeed hypocrisy, that they may know about so that the Avenger, in the form of justice and redress, may come surely and swiftly. . . In 1992 I underwent a profound revelatory experience of God which revealed that the total solar eclipse "Eye of God" is a "Sign in the Heavens" that symbolizes God's divine omniscience. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan of the Unitarian Church of Montreal contemptuously dismissed as my "psychotic experience" here: - This revelatory religious experience inspired me to propose an inter-religious celebration of Creation that would take place whenever a total solar eclipse took place over our planet. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan and other leading members of the Unitarian Church of Montreal falsely and maliciously labeled as a "cult" here: - I am now an excommunicated Unitarian whose "alternative spiritual practice" includes publicly exposing and denouncing Unitarian*Universalist injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy. The Emerson Avenger blog will serve that purpose for me and hopefully others will share their concerns here. Dee Miller's term DIM Thinking is used frequently and appropriately on this blog. International Blasphemy Rights Day And Unitarian Universalist History - What's The Connection?

Can U*Us say Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors attorney Maitre Marc-André Coulombe?

How about UUA Executive Vice President Kathleen "'Kay" Montgomery who, according to her official UUA job description and Andover-Harvard Theological Library bio, "coordinates the work of the UUA legal counsel" and thus, according to good old Unitarian *Reason*. . . would have "coordinated" the rather questionable work of the UUA's Canadian legal counsel Maitre Marc-André Coulombe.

Most ironically, a free and responsible Google search for -

Blasphemy Day and Unitarian

resulted in finding a three year old blog post on Atheist Unitarian Universalist Steve Caldwell's 'Liberal Faith Development'  blog entitled -

'Unitarian Universalist History and Blasphemy Day'

that I had commented on on October 2nd 2009, in the wake of the very first observance of International Blasphemy Rights Day aka Blasphemy Day on September 30th, 2009.

Without further ado here is the follow-up comment that I just posted in response to that blog post -

I thought it would be fun to point out yet another Unitarian Universalist historical connection with this celebration of blasphemy. . .

The most recent person to be accused of the crime of blasphemous libel in Soviet Canuckistan aka Canada is none other than your's Truly. . . and it is the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations that is the outrageously hypocritical religious institution responsible for making that spurious accusation. . .

Yes, Steve, on International Blasphemy Day 2012 I am basking in the glory of having been (falsely) accused of the criminal act of blasphemous libel by Unitarian Universalist hypocrites at 25 Beacon Street in Bean Town for allegedly making "unfounded and vicious allegations to the effect that ministers of the Association engage in such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape."

Who would have thought that Unitarian Universalists aka U*Us would ever have the unmitigated gall aka utterly shameful Big Fat U*U Hubris to accuse *anyone* of the crime of blasphemous libel, especially on such highly questionable if not outright spurious grounds?

The hubris, the hubris. . .

I posted pretty much the same comment in response to ChaliceChick's old blog post titled -

I've only known about "Blasphemy Day" for three days and I hated the idea the whole time

which shows up as the second result of the aforementioned Google search.

Interestingly enough the third result for that Goole search is none other than my U*UTube video titled -

A Canada Day Trudeau Salute For Unitarian Universalist Hypocrites

which, AFA*I*AC. . . can now do double duty as A Blasphemy Day 2012 Trudeau Salute For Unitarian Universalist Hypocrites

The Values Voters Summit And Unitarian Universalist "Foot-In-Mouth Disease" - What's The Connection?

Can U*Us say UUA President Rev. Peter Morales?

Yes, it looks like President Morales went and put his foot in it in yet another Unitarian Universalist Op/Ed piece in The Huffington Post entitled -

The Real Values Voters Summit

Without further ado here is the initial comment that I submitted in response to Rev. Peter Morales' words which exposes his hypocritical "Foot In Mouth Disease" -

"These people attempt to portray themselves as representing values of religious people. The reality is that the opposite is true. Most religious people do not share the values of the extreme right."

So what about the extreme left Peter? How many religious people share the values of what The Oregonian described as "The Church Of The Far Left" when it reported on the 2007 UUA GA in Portland Oregon?

"We -- Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs (and others, too) -- share a core set of religious beliefs and values that should guide our votes in this election and in every election."

As I recall Peter, in your 'A Religion For Our Time' sermon which did double duty as your "stump speech" announcing your candidacy for president of the UUA you quite dogmatically asserted that Judaism, Christianity, Islam and any number of other "old religions" were "obsolete religions created for another time" that "contribute to the darkness" of "hatred, injustice, prejudice, ignorance" and "lead to tribalism, violence, suspicion, hatred, and oppression". . .

So what exactly have you done as President of the UUA work to ensure that *everyone*, including each and *every* victim of UU clergy misconduct. . . is treated with respect and dignity? What are you doing to seek peace among ALL people? Not a whole lot as far as I can see and I can see plenty. . .

Here is the obligatory screenshot of my comment as it was actually posted to The Huffington Post -

UUA President Peter Morales Respects And Affirms The Wisdom And Value Of All Religious Traditions?!! Coulda Fooled Me. . .

In a new blog post titled 'Service and Military Chaplaincy', on his most ironically named 'Beyond Belief' blog, UUA President *the* Reverend Doctor* Peter Morales made the following Big Fat U*U Assertion -

"Unitarian Universalist ministers are particularly well suited to chaplaincy in our multi-faith society. We already respect and affirm the wisdom and value of all religious traditions. We are, in a very real sense, a multi-faith faith."

Without further ado here is the "less than polite" comment that I submitted in response to UUA President Peter Morales' evidently "less than honest" words -

"We already respect and affirm the wisdom and value of all religious traditions. We are, in a very real sense, a multi-faith faith."

You truly are "beyond belief" Peter. . .

If I remember correctly, and I am pretty sure that I do. . . In your 'A Religion Our Time' sermon, which served as your "stump speech" announcing your candidacy for President of the UUA, you publicly demonstrated your respect and affirmation of the wisdom and value of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, to say nothing of any number of other unspecified "old religions". . . by belittling and maligning them as "obsolete religions" that "contribute to the darkness" of "hatred, injustice, prejudice, ignorance" and "lead to tribalism, violence, suspicion, hatred, and oppression."

Oh and I *really* must say that your hiring Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors attorney Marc-André Coulombe to have me served with me a frivolous, dubious, ludicrous, and indeed quite hilarious "cease and desist" demand letter that falsely accuses me of the archaic (if not *obsolete*) crime of "blasphemous libel" for allegedly making "unfounded and vicious allegations to the effect that ministers of the Association engage in such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" is just the proverbial icing on the cake of your Big Fat U*U Truthiness. Or should I say your "Beyond Beliefiness"?

And to think that you bluntly asserted that the UUA was not going to reopen something that was "years and years and years old" when I politely asked you to take steps to ensure that the UUA's unjust, inequitable and far from compassionate dismissals and/or rejections of my clergy misconduct complaints against Rev. Ray Drennan and Rev. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang were responsibly reviewed and overturned. Well it looks like you, and your fellow UUA leaders like Kathleen "'Kay" Montgomery to name but one. . . have reopened a proverbial "Can Of Worms" now haven't you Peter?

Shouting “Fire!” In A Crowded Theatre Is OK As Long As There Happens To Be An Actual Fire Threatening The Safety Of Its Occupants. . .

This is a fairly straightforward concept that Unitarian Universalist military chaplain Rev. David Pyle apparently fails to understand in his Celestial Lands blog post titled -

'Free Speech, Responsibility, and Religious Violence'

So I politely pointed this fact out to him in the following comment that probably won't see the light of day on 'Celestial Lands'. . .

” You cannot shout “Fire!” in a crowded theatre… and you should not be able to publish hateful, vindictive propaganda about Islam without facing severe and significant consequences.”

Actually you can shout “Fire!” in a crowded theatre if there happens to be an actual fire threatening the safety of its occupants. BTW Does describing Islam as being numbered amongst “obsolete religions, created for another time” that “contribute to the darkness” of “fear, prejudice, and hatred” etc. etc. count as “hateful, vindictive propaganda about Islam”? Because if it does, you *can* do that if you are a “Humanist” UU minister running for President of the UUA. . .

Roy Speckhardt, Executive Director Of The American Humanist Association aka AHA, And The Crime Of Blasphemous Libel - What's The Connection?

Well, for the time being anyway. . . the immediate and timely connection between Roy Speckhardt, current Executive Director Of The American Humanist Association, and the criminal act of 'Blasphemous Libel' is the following comment that I just submitted in response to Roy's Huffington Post Opinion Editorial aka Op/Ed titled -

'What the Libyan Embassy Attack Teaches Us About True Religious Freedom'

My comment is currently being held for "moderation" aka censorship by Huffington Post moderators, as per the notice saying, 'This comment is pending approval and won't be displayed until it is approved.' in the screenshot that I took of the submitted comment and posted below. Without further ado, here is the full text of my comment with some additional hyperlinks to assist persons of inherent worth and dignity to engage in a free and responsible search for its Truth and meaning. . .

"Ideally, criticism should be constructive and remain polite and reasoned, but even if the remarks made are vulgar and offensive, the same legal protections regarding free speech and religious freedom must be maintained."

Roy can I call you as a defence witness if the Unitarian Universalist Association aka The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ actually has me charged for the crime of "blasphemous libel" for allegedly making "unfounded and vicious allegations to the effect that ministers of the Association engage in such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape"?

Yes, believe it or not, outrageously hypocritical Unitarian Universalist "religious leaders" at UUA headquarters in Boston have actually had me served with a rather questionable cease and desist demand letter that (falsely) accuses me of the criminal act of "blasphemous libel" because I blogged about some Unitarian Universalists who were in fact convicted of the forcible rape of vulnerable teenage Tibetan refugees in one case, and forcibly raping preteen girls including "a female family member" in another case. Surely these "despicable" rapes committed by Unitarian Universalists are rather more appropriately described as "vicious" than my critical blog posts about them. . .

BTW As far as "violent actions taken by individuals on the grounds of defending their faith from outside criticism" goes I have been physically assaulted by Unitarian Universalists and have had "death threats" uttered against me as a result of engaging in peaceful public protest against the anti-religious intolerance and bigotry of "fundamentalist atheist" UU "Humanists".

My Water Communion Sunday Protest At The Unitarian Church Of Montreal - September 9, 2012

While Montreal Unitarians were "mingling the waters" of their summer vacations during the "Water Communion" service of the Unitarian Church Of Montreal last Sunday, I was outside mingling with the Montreal public engaging in my "alternative spiritual practice" aka "prophetic work" of protesting against UU anti-religious intolerance and bigotry, all forms of UU clergy abuse, and various other UU injustices and abuses. I am posting the first "reel" of my personal surveillance-security cam video from "Water Communion" Sunday 2012 as an example of what happens when a member of the public stops to enter into what Unitarian Universalists would call a free and responsible search for the Truth and meaning of what my protest is all about. . .
