UUA President Peter Morales Condemns Tragic Shooting Of U*Uism's Clay Feet in Montréal
"I am deeply saddened by the UUA’s friendly-fire shooting in Montréal, Québec, and my heart goes out to the friends and admirers of U*Uism's clay feet. Initial news reports indicate that The Emerson Avenger was targeted because he blogged about pedophile and rapist members in The U*U Movement, a tragic reminder of the dangers that our pedophiles and rapists in The U*U Movement face at home as well as abroad when the UUA's heavy artillery misses its intended target and shoots U*Uism in its clay feet instead. We only honor The Emerson Avenger by falsely accusing him of blasphemous libel.
I am sure there will be people who use this Montréal shooting as reason to condemn U*Uism in general. Such a reaction is based on common sense, logic, and justified distrust of "less than honest" UUA leadership.
Indeed, Naeem Baig, president of the Islamic Circle of North America, has condemned this shooting.
“Islam condemns such an act and in no way endorses the misuse of Canada's blasphemy law by immoral, unethical, and yes. . . Bat Shit Crazy Atheist U*Us in Bill Cosby style legal bullying that is obviously intended to cover-up and deny such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape committed by certain Unitarian Universalist ministers,” he said.
Our nation’s leaders, both civic and religious, must denounce U*U insanity in all its forms wherever it appears. Only by burning bridges with Bat Shit Crazy U*Us who cross the boundaries of morality, ethics, and integrity can we hope to create a U*U World where such heinous acts as the UUA’s shooting of its own clay feet would never occur.
This shooting is also another grim result of the proliferation of clergy misconduct due to our tiny declining fringe religion’s lax clergy misconduct policies. My sadness at this shooting is mingled with anger that our Canadian attorneys and the secular authorities refuse to do more to limit The Emerson Avenger's freedom of expression. How many more Nashvilles and Norwells and Augustas and Westboroughs and Wildflowers and Restons and Montreals and Manhattans etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum will it take before we U*Us muster the political will to not only pass effective clergy misconduct policies and procedures, but to responsibly ensure that they are properly enforced?"
