UUA Board Trustee Tim Atkins' Resignation And Unitarian Universalist Child Sex Abuse Cover-Up And Denial - What's The Connection?

It just came to my attention minutes ago on Twitter, that UUA Board Trustee Tim Atkins tendered his resignation as a UUA Board Trustee effective Sunday January 13th 2019, as per this official announcement on the UUA Governance webpages, which was brought to my attention via this Tim Atkins Tweet dated January 21st, 2019. According to Tim's letter of resignation, the Executive of the UUA Board of Trustees chose not to act on an issue that now *resigned* UUA Trustee Tim Atkins believes is a matter of transparency, democratic representation, and relates to questions of authority from the General Assembly to the UUA Board. It is not clear what this Board decision was, because Tim Atkins does not divulge that information, but it was a decision that Tim Atkins asserts that he "cannot ethically support".

Strangely enough, during the four years that UUA Religious Educator Tim Atkins was a UUA Board Trustee, he had no qualms whatsoever over supporting the UUA's immoral, UNethical, borderline criminal, and indeed #BatShitCrazy blasphemous libel accusation against me, which was an abusive misuse of Canada's archaic, and now repealed, blasphemy law which sought to intimidate Yours Truly into deleting aka "memory holing" The Emerson Avenger blog posts that told the readily verifiable Truth about "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by hebophile rapist Rev. Mack Wallace Mitchell, and Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein's pedophile rapist First Parish Norwell parishioner Richard Buell. Likewise, UUA Board Trustee Tim Atkins was only too happy to "less than ethically" turn a blind eye to the highly misleading misinformation, and even brazen #BaldFacedLies that corpse-cold Unitarian UUA Moderator Jim Key told in the "less than honest", and thus utterly worthless, UUA Board official apology to victims-survivors of Unitarian Universalist clergy sexual misconduct aka #UU #ClergySexAbuse that James "See NO Evil" Key inappropriately sandwiched into the middle of his first Moderator's Report to a General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Assembly aka a #UUAGA.

UUA Board Trustee Tim Atkins was very aware of these ethical issues, and various other issues relating to UNethical UUA clergy abuse cover-up and denial, years before he chose to join the UUA Board of Trustees. During the whole time that Tim Atkins was a UUA Board Trustee he, along with ALL other UUA Board Trustees who were made aware of these and other UUA clergy abuse issues over the years, maintained complicit silence and did little or nothing to ensure that the UUA formally withdraws its false accusation of blasphemous libel against me, publicly apologizes for it, and publicly discloses how many UUA ministers and UUA Religious Educators have been charged tried and convicted of "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape", or who have been credibly accused of "such despicable crimes", or other sexual molestation of children. Tim Atkins was also aware of the highly misleading misinformation, and even outright lies, that were, and still are. . . expressed in the UUA Board's "less than honest" official apology to victims-survivors of clergy sex abuse, yet he did little or nothing to ensure that the UUA Board's utterly shameful attempt to deny, ignore and minimize clergy sexual misconduct in general, and clergy sexual abuse of children in particular.

There was a time more than four years ago, when I liked Tim Atkins aka Matt Kinsi, and thought of Tim as an honest and outspoken Unitarian Universalist who was willing to address issues that most U*Us were unwilling to address. Those days are long gone. . . Tim Atkins publicly claims that he resigned as a UUA Board Trustee because he "cannot ethically support" a decision made by the Executive of the UUA Board of Trustees, but he has supported extremely UNethical decisions made by the UUA Board of Trustees, and the Rev. Dr. Peter Morales UUA administration, to say nothing of prior and subsequent UUA administrations that have sought to cover-up and deny clergy abuse, for the whole time that he was a UUA Trustee. So good-bye and good riddance Tim Atkins, your ethics a and personal integrity were seriously compromised from Day One of being a UUA Board Trustee.
