First Universalist Church Of Minneapolis And UUA Child Sex Abuse Cover-Up Efforts - What's The Connection?

First Universalist Church of Minneapolis is connected to any and all UUA child sex abuse cover-up efforts simply by being a UUA congregation; UNfortunately however. . . it seems that whoever manages First Universalist Church of Minneapolis's Facebook account, and thus by extension First Universalist Church of Minneapolis as a UUA congregation. . . may have actively participated in UUA child sex abuse cover-up efforts by "muting" (or otherwise concealing) a comment or two that I posted in response to this First Universalist Church of Minneapolis Facebook post yesterday.

The apparently "muted" and thus concealed aka hidden comments said:

When will you* and other UUA clergy and UUA leaders publicly lament the UUA's truly lamentable track record on dealing with clergy misconduct of all kinds? When will you, and Ashley, and other Unitarian Universalist ministers publicly name what is tragic, what is fearful, what is damaging, what is WRONG, what is UNjust and what is angering and name whatever else is lamentable about UUA's decades worth of negligent and complicit mishandling, cover-up, and even official denial of clergy misconduct aka clergy abuse that includes child sex abuse?

And: Oops! I forgot to mention UUA *minimization* of clergy misconduct aka clergy abuse that includes child sex abuse. UNlike the UUA, I correct my mistakes. . .

Upon noticing this apparent censorship if not "memory holing" minutes ago, I sent the following Direct Message aka DM to First Universalist Church of Minneapolis's Facebook account:

It seems First Universalist Church of Minneapolis muted my comments about past and apparently ongoing UUA mishandling, minimization, cover-up & denial of clergy misconduct aka clergy abuse that includes child sex abuse. If First Universalist Church of Minneapolis did hide my comments, it is guilty of knowing and willful concealment aka cover-up of Unitarian Universalist clergy abuse that includes child rape.

Within seconds of sending that DM I received the following automated response from First Universalist Church of Minneapolis:

Hi, thanks for contacting us. We've received your message and appreciate you reaching out.

It will be interesting to see just how much First Universalist Church of Minneapolis actually appreciates my "reaching out", not only in terms of that Direct Message, but the two comments on this Facebook post that I posted yesterday, in the coming days, weeks, and months. . .

Update: It seems that while I was writing this blog post about concealment of Unitarian Universalist clergy misconduct aka clergy abuse that includes what the UUA has described as "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" by not only the UUA, but Unitarian Universalists more generally, whoever manages First Universalist Church of Minneapolis's Facebook account completely blocked me. This only serves to confirm my suspicions that First Universalist Church of Minneapolis is not only knowingly and willfully participating in concealing U*U clergy abuse that includes child sex abuse via censorship and suppression of the comments yesterday, but decided to double down on this censorship and suppression instead of walking back from it. This kind of clergy abuse concealment behaviour is all too typical of not only Unitarian Universalist institutions, UUA leaders and UUA clergy, but Unitarian Universalists more generally.

Additional update: I used the First Universalist Church of Minneapolis's online Contact Us form, and its online Visitor Connect form, to make it clear to the clergy and lay leadership of FUCM that I expect them to "UNblock me from FUCM's Facebook account and other social media accounts, STOP censoring me, STOP participating in Unitarian Universalist clergy sex abuse cover-up efforts, and enter into an International Conversation About ALL Types Of Clergy Misconduct aka Clergy Abuse with me ASAP."

It will be interesting to see if anyone from First Universalist Church Minneapolis will be in touch with The Emerson Avenger soon, "usually within 2 working days".
