The Emerson Avenger

The Emerson Avenger is a "memory hole" free blog where censorship is scorned. This blog will "guard the right to know" about any injustices and abuses that corrupt Unitarian Universalism. Posters may speak and argue freely, according to conscience, about any injustices and abuses, or indeed hypocrisy, that they may know about so that the Avenger, in the form of justice and redress, may come surely and swiftly. . . "Slowly, slowly the Avenger comes, but comes surely." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

In 1992 I underwent a profound revelatory experience of God which revealed that the total solar eclipse "Eye of God" is a "Sign in the Heavens" that symbolizes God's divine omniscience. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan of the Unitarian Church of Montreal contemptuously dismissed as my "psychotic experience" here: http://revelationisnotsealed.homestead.com - This revelatory religious experience inspired me to propose an inter-religious celebration of Creation that would take place whenever a total solar eclipse took place over our planet. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan and other leading members of the Unitarian Church of Montreal falsely and maliciously labeled as a "cult" here: http://creationday.homestead.com - I am now an excommunicated Unitarian whose "alternative spiritual practice" includes publicly exposing and denouncing Unitarian*Universalist injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy. The Emerson Avenger blog will serve that purpose for me and hopefully others will share their concerns here. Dee Miller's term DIM Thinking is used frequently and appropriately on this blog. The Unitarian Universalist Association Is One Of The Fastest-Growing Denominations In The Country. . .

Ballooning 15 percent over the past decade, when other established churches were shrinking.

NOT. . .

As the following comment that I just freely and responsibly posted in response to a rather controversial article about UU polyamorists by Lisa Miller entitled 'Many Unitarians would prefer that their polyamory activists keep quiet' in the March 22nd edition of The Washington Post -

"It is perhaps no surprise that the Unitarian Universalist Association is one of the fastest-growing denominations in the country, ballooning 15 percent over the past decade, when other established churches were shrinking."

This assertion about Unitarian Universalism being one of the fastest-growing denominations in America, could not be further from the Truth. Membership in the not so welcoming congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association has been pretty much stagnant for decades and is currently in decline. As these official UUA membership statistics should prove beyond any reasonable doubt. . .

http://www.uua.org/directory/data/demographics/281...

In the 2002-03 "church" year the UUA had 1,055 congregations with 158,607 adult members and 63,080 RE enrollments aka UU Sunday school children for a total claimed membership of 221,687 UUs in the USA. A decade down the road, in the 2012 "church" year, the UUA had 1,054 congregations with 161,502 adult members and 53,776 RE enrollments for a total claimed membership of 215,278 UUs in the USA.

Where is the claimed 15% growth "over the past decade" in that?

UUA President Rev. Peter Morales has quite justifiably lamented the fact that Unitarian Universalism is what he termed a "tiny, declining, fringe religion" in his stump speech announcing his candidacy for president of the UUA. Heck, even if membership in UUA congregations miraculously quadrupled overnight, there would still be less than a million Unitarian Universalists in the USA which currently has a population of well over 300 million. It seems to me that UUism aka "The Uncommon Denomination" could still be justifiably described as a tiny "fringe religion", albeit no longer a declining one. . .

Gotta laugh at the UUA's poorly thought through "The Uncommon Denomination" denomination marketing slogan in light of how few and far between UU "churches" are in many regions of "The Land Of The Free".

Calling Bullshit On UUA Legal Bullying And The Church Of The Larger Fellowship's 'Daily Compass' Blog - What's The Connection?

Herewith, without further ado, but with one typo corrected and some hyperlinks added so that Unitarian Universalists can more easily engage in a free and genuinely *responsible* search for its Truth and meaning, is the ever so Unitarian question which serves as an answer to the question posed by the UUA's Church Of The Larger Fellowship in the 'Daily Acts of Courage' post to its Daily Compass blog today -

Earlier today I Tweeted that it was “less than logical” bullshit for the UUA’s Canadian attorney Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe to falsely accuse me of the archaic crime of blasphemous libel for allegedly making “unfounded and vicious allegations to the effect that ministers of the (Unitarian Universalist) Association engage in such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape” in an outrageously hypocritical, and stunningly hubristic. . . act of Lance Armstrong style legal bullying that sought to intimidate me into deleting aka “memory holing” some The Emerson Avenger blog posts about convicted UU rapists, one of whom can be reasonably described as a “pedophile rapist” in that he was convicted of raping preteen girls, including but not limited to “a female family member”.

Does that count as a small, daily act of courage that I have taken recently?

SOME ALL CAPS BEAUTY TIPS FOR PEACEBANG AKA *THE* REVEREND DOCTOR VICTORIA WEINSTEIN AKA VICKI THE IMPALER. . .

Inspired by the one and (thankfully. . .) only Reverend Doctor Victoria Weinstein's most recent Peacebang's Beauty Tips For Ministers blog post entitled 'Formality!' The Emerson Avenger has come up with a few brand spanking new ALL CAPS beauty tips for Vicki The Impaler herself. . .

WE WEAR STOCKINGS OR SOCKS WHEN WE ANALLY IMPALE REPUBLICAN STATE SENATORS ON THE STATUE OF LIBERTY'S TORCH.

WE DO NOT SLIP ON CASUAL FLATS OR SPORTY SHOES WITH CLERICAL VESTMENTS AND GIVE "LESS THAN PERFECT" UU YOUTH THE SIDE OF OUR BOOT IN THE TUSHIE HARD WITH OUR BARE ANKLES SHOWING.

Here are some more beauty tips for Peacebang that The Emerson Avenger has plagUUrized from the same blog post. . .

Anally impaling a U.S. state senator on the Statue Of Liberty's torch is a public event. Any time UU clergy are asked to participate in a Sadistic ritual known as anal impalement, they are attending a public event and representing not just their brutish, Sadistic selves, but the Clergy as a whole. Whether or not they are saying a word during the anal impalement, they are fulfilling a symbolic function (as well as a collegial and ecclesiastical one) and casual footwear inserted in their mouth does not cut it.

Lather, rinse and repeat for ALL anal impalements.

Booting deliquent Unitarian Universalist youth in the tushie HARD calls not only for appropriate footwear and socks or stockings but for intentional kicking of the UU youth's butt and subsequent loss of face.

Those UU clergy who will be appearing in historical photographs should make some effort beyond just showing up and throwing on a gigantic pearl necklace and faux leopard skin sweater.

Is there some theological issue with Republicans that I don’t know about? Is a little lipstick or concealer so much to ask? Would it kill UUs to anally impale a Republican state senator on the Statue of Liberty's torch once in awhile? Sorry, Peacebang gets carried away. . .

I just don’t want ANY UU clergy to be caught on film looking well-nigh bedraggled.

International Day Of Happiness And Unitarian Universalist Injustices Abuses And Hypocrisy - What's The Connection?

Well, just for starters, as I just Tweeted to Gateacre Unitarian Chapel in Liverpool. . .

I am celebrating being accused of blasphemous libel by #Unitarians this 1st International #DayOfHappiness!

More First International Day Of Happiness inspired Tweets and TEA blog posts later. . .

UUA President Peter Morales Announces That The Unitarian Universalist Association’s Board of Trustees Has Condoned The UUA's Blasphemous Libel Accusation Against The Emerson Avenger

Without further ado here is my "Eat Your Words Diet" parody version of UUA President Peter Morales' official UUA press release announcing that the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Board of Trustees has authorized the purchase of a new headquarters for the UUA at 24 Farnsworth Street in Boston’s Innovation District and the hoped for lucrative sale of the UUA's current Beacon Hill properties. This parody blog post is about another truly historic moment for the UU movement. . .

My fellow Unitarian Universalists,

I am delighted to tell you that last night the Unitarian Universalist Association’s (UUA) Board of Trustees officially condoned the UUA's Lance Armstrong style legal bullying of Robin Edgar, which falsely accuses him of the archaic crime of blasphemous libel on the unfounded aka unTrue basis that he has made "unfounded and vicious allegations to the effect that ministers of the Association engage in such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape."

This is truly a historic moment for our UU movement.

This new UUA legal bullying will reject and betray our purported values and aspirations. It will allow UUA staff to collaborate and work more closely with colleagues and constituents across the UU World to censor and suppress The Emerson Avenger's public criticism of UU clergy abuse and other UU injustices, abuses and hypocrisy. This legal bullying will disregard and violate key ethical standards to increase its negative impact on the UU World. Our movement will boldly suck and blow into a new era of UU hypocrisy with this hubristic loss of face.

After a belated strategic analysis of our current shituation, we became very aware of the limitations of our ministers including "sodomy fantasy" issues, members of UU ministers entering teenage Tibetan refugees, inadequate clergy misconduct policies and procedures, and many more issues facing our tiny declining fringe religion. These factors helped us determine that to litigate would be financially prohibitive, so we hired Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe to have Robin Edgar served with an arrogant and aggressive cease and desist demand letter brazenly accusing him of the archaic crime of blasphemous libel, a blasphemy law that has not been prosecuted in Soviet Canuckistan aka Canada since "The Dirty Thirties", and left it at that. . .

With this information and after much deliberation, we concluded that in order to embarrass our movement even further and work in a way that completely rejected our values, we needed to accuse Robin Edgar of "threatening and defamatory conduct amounting to sexual harassment" of Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein aka Peacebang aka Vicki the Impaler for publicly criticizing her "sodomy fantasy" which obscenely and Sadistically imagined "South Dakota State Senator Bill Napoli anally impaled on ehe Statue Of Liberty's torch". . . I am thrilled that our "less than ethical" aka immoral Lance Armstrong style legal bullying will meet the current and future needs of the Association and our religious community.

In the weeks and months to come, the UUA will NOT be sharing information about this legal bullying as it develops, and we want you to willfully ignore it. There will be NO opportunities for engagement, conversation, and ever so Unitarian questioning of this highly questionable UUA legal bullying. To start, DO NOT watch this video highlighting Robin Edgar’s unique digitally literate insight into this important and historic betrayal of UU principles and ideals.

I am deeply appreciative of the unscrupulous lack of attention given to this matter by our Board of Trustees and of the dirty work of our staff, such as "retiring" UUA Executive Vice President Kathleen 'Kay Montgomery, who contributed to the research process for accusing Robin Edgar of the archaic crime of blasphemous libel in a deeply misguided effort to cover up and hide the fact that *some* ministers of the Unitarian Universalist Association (to say absolutely nothing of UU Religious Educators and UU lay people. . .) have in fact engaged in such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape. I give thanks to the countless individual UUs who have willfully ignored Robin Edgar's numerous letters of grievance and countless peaceful public protests, and to all those UUs who have made the UU World a place worthy of such criticism and protest. I look forward to betraying more of our traditions and ideals in due time.

In Bad Faith,

Rev. Peter Morales

Unitarian Universalist Association Headquarters Are Moving From 25 Beacon Street To 24 Farnsworth Street In Boston's "Innovation District"

As reported in a Boston Herald article titled 'Unitarian Universalists selling Beacon Hill base' and a Boston Business Journal article headlined 'Unitarian Universalists to sell Beacon Hill headquarters, move to Seaport'.

But have no fear UUs, according to "retiring" UUA Executive Vice President Kathleen 'Kay Montgomery. . .

"It's not as though we (Unitarian Universalists) will leave our history behind us. You know our history goes with us. It's who we are."

Without further ado here are a few thousand words worth of the shameful history that the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations aka the UUA aka The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™ will transfer from The Place That Reeks Of Privilege And Hierarchy aka 25 Beacon Street to its brand spanking new corporate headquarters at 24 Farnsworth Street. . .

Rev. Dawn Cooley Of First Unitarian Church Louisville Kentucky And The Nature Of Unitarian Universalist Evil - What's The Connection?

How about the following comment that I just posted in response to Rev. Dawn Cooley's Random Thoughts, Ruminations and Musings about 'The Nature of Evil' in a sermon that she delivered at First Unitarian Church, Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday March 3, 2013?

What is it that allowed UUA leaders, for instance, to falsely accuse your's Truly of the archaic crime of blasphemous libel on the unfounded aka unTrue basis that I have allegedly made "unfounded and vicious allegations to the effect that ministers of the Association engage in such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" in shameful Lance Armstrong style legal bullying that seeks to force me to "memory hole" some "less than flattering" blog posts about certain UUs who were actually charged with and convicted of engaging in such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape?

Can UUs say "evil"?

Not that hubris wasn't involved as well. . .

My comment posted on the 12th did not get published.
I was able to successfully repost it on March 13th, 2012.

A digital photograph of the UUA's arrogant and hubristic
cease and desist demand letter falsely accusing me of the
archaic crime of blasphemous libel for allegedly making
"unfounded and vicious allegations to the effect that
ministers of the Association engage in such
despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape"

Making A Silk Purse Out Of A Sow's Ear Unitarian Universalist Style. . .

It has long been said that one cannot make a silk purse of a sow's ear, however that does not seem to be preventing Andrea Reichert, the Treasurer of the Unitarian Church of Montreal, from doing her damnedest to make a silk purse out of the ear of the underfed sow known as the 2012 budget of the Unitarian Church of Montreal. . .

According to Andrea Reichert's 'Message from the Treasurer', published in the UCM's March 2013 newsletter,

"2012 ended on positive note!"

(Please note the use of the ever so positive exclamation mark. . .)

Andrea Reichert's 'Message from the Treasurer' continues as follows:

This past February 6, members of the Executive Committee and UCM administrator Verna Litwack, had an opportunity to meet with UCM’s accountant, Donna Salvati, to go over the 2012 draft of year-end numbers. The news was quite positive. (Please note the second use of the word "positive" in relation to the UCM's 2012 budget. . .)

Highlights from the 2012 budget include:

• revenues came in 2% over budget and overall expenses were down 14% from budgeted amounts;

• excess of expenditures over revenues amounted to a deficit of $96,407;

• total giving (financial commitments and pledges for the noncurrent year) was approximately $2000 lower than budgeted amounts.

According to the financial statements, overall revenues decreased by $15,000 from 2011; total expenses were down $13,500 from the previous year, with a total deficiency of $92,000. This is an increase of $8,000 from 2011.

end quote

So, according to a free and *responsible* search for the Truth and meaning of Andrea Reichert's 'Message from the Treasurer', the 2012 budget of the Unitarian Church of Montreal ended on the ever so "positive note!" of "a deficit of $96,407" that was due in part to the fact that "overall revenues decreased by $15,000 from 2011" as well as the fact that the "total giving" of Montreal Unitarians "was approximately $2000 lower than budgeted amounts".

That sounds quite "positive" to me LOL!

It never ceases to amaze me how Unitarian Universalist persons of inherent worth and dignity who ostensibly "covenant" to affirm and promote "a free and responsible search for truth and meaning" in the Fourth Principle of Unitarian Universalism can so brazenly misrepresent the Truth when it suits their purposes to do so. . .

First Year Unitarian Universalist Ministers Can Haz Some Beauty Tips Courtesy Of Peacebang. . .

According to the dubious "Beauty Tips For Ministers" that Peacebang aka Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein dishes out in her recent blog post entitled 'Shoulders Back, Chin Up, Smile Big And Keep Your Arms At Your Sides!', first year UU ministers Rev. Gretchen Haley, Rev. Sunshine Jeremiah Wolfe, Rev. Ron Phares and Rev. Evin Carvill-Zeimer have to give Peacebang their car which she will donate to charity because they were caught in this group photograph, reproduced below, with their hands in their pockets.

It gets better. . .

As if *that* was not bad enough, it would seem that "clergy image" authority Peacebang is of the opinion that the demure little clasped hands of Rev. Rebecca Froom make her look like an obedient little girl. Such UU "clergy image" is, in Peacebang's UU World-view is. . .

"Ick. Awful. Infantilizing. Disempowering".

Unitarian Universalist Hypocrisy Sucks

Unitarian Universalism Is A Faith That Foolishly Attempts To Shape History. . .

by falsely accusing me of the archaic crime of blasphemous libel in an outrageously hypocritical, and stunningly hubristic, attempt to bully me into "memory holing" blog posts about Unitarian Universalist sex offenders who have been convicted of engaging in "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape". . .

In a brand spanking new thelivelytradition blog post entitled 'Not From Quincy....' Rev. Tom Schade has urged The Emerson Avenger to share the following James Luther Adams quotation that his colleague Rev. Josh Pawalek offered in his sermon last Sunday which was entitled '“Dealing With Our Spiritual Stuff” or “Reclaiming Our Liberal Spiritual Inheritance”'.

"A faith in the commanding, sustaining, transforming reality is one that shapes history."

For some strange reason Rev. Schade snipped the rest of that particular James Luther Adams quotation which goes on to say. . .

"Any other faith is thoroughly undependable; it is also impotent. It is NOT a faith that molds history. It is the "faith" that enables history to crush humanity."

Now *that* faith sounds a LOT more like contemporary Unitarian Universalism AFA*I*AC. . .
