Standing On The Side Of Love For Victims Of U*U Injustices And Abuses On Inter National Standing On The Side Of Love Day 2011
Well, what with St. Valentine's Day being "reimagined" as 'National Standing On The Side Of Love Day' by the UUA's Standing On The Side Of Love Campaign, I decided to do a little "reimagining" of Standing On The Side Of Love Day and stand on the side of love for victims of a variety of injustices and abuses that have been directly perpetrated by certain Unitarian Universalists, including "less than perfect" U*U clergy. . . and indirectly perpetuated by rather too many other hypocritical Unitarian*Universalists aka U*Us who do little or nothing to respond to U*U injustices and abuses in a manner that genuinely honors and upholds the purported principles and purposes of Unitarian Universalism aka The U*U Movement aka The Tiny Declining Fringe Religion™.
Earlier today I stood on the side of love for ALL victims of unjust criminal prosecution and prosecutorial harassment in front of the Palais de Justice aka court house in Old Montreal aka Vieux Montreal where a few hundred striking Quebec Crown prosecutors were marching in a picket line to demand significantly higher wages. One of their picket sign slogans is -
RECLAME JUSTICE
which is French for -
DEMAND JUSTICE
It seems to me that I have been demanding justice for myself and other victims of U*U injustices and abuses of various kinds for quite some time now. . . but outrageously hypocritical Unitarian*Universalists seem to be no closer to providing some long overdue restorative to me and other victims of U*U clergy misconduct (or other forms of U*U injustices and abuses) than they were back in 1996 when I first demanded some justice from Montreal Unitarians and the UUA.
Interestingly enough. . . my original letter of grievance arising from Rev. Ray Drennan's intolerant and abusive verbal attack on me was dated February 14th, 1996, so today marks the 15th anniversary of my initial demand for some justice, equity, and compassion from Montreal Unitarians and the UUA's department of ministry. A demand for justice that the congregation of the Unitarian Church of Montreal, the UUA, including the UUA's very aptly named Ministerial *Fellowship* Committee, have repeatedly, indeed continuously and quite obstinately. . . refused to responsibly redress. So I guess I somewhat prophetically anticipated the Standing On The Side Of Love campaign's "reimagining" of St. Valentine's Day as a day to stand on the side of love for people who have been oppressed and marginalized in various ways by submitting my little "love letter" complaining about Rev. Ray Drennan's intolerant and abusive clergy misconduct to the Board of the Unitarian Church of Montreal on St. Valentine's Day 1996. That's right U*Us, today I am "celebrating" the second observance of Inter*National Standing On The Side Of Love Day by reminding hypocritical Unitarian*Univeralist U*Us that they have been standing on the side of Rev. Ray Drennan's Big Fat U*U Hate since February 14th 1996. . .
Today I stood on the side of love for ALL victims of Unitarian Universalist clergy misconduct, regardless of whether or not that misconduct involves sexual misconduct or not.
Today I stood on the side of love for ALL victims of Unitarian Universalist hatred, whether that hatred is manifested as "hate speech", prejudice, intolerance and bigotry, or as various other forms of hate.
