Rev. Dr. Victoria Weinstein aka Vicki The Impaler aka Peacebang Goes Back On The Emerson Avenger's U*U World-Famous "Eat Your Words Diet" Big Time

I have spent the last half-hour or so reading this Peacebang Facebook post and related comments. I have very strong feelings about it. First, it's a HUGE story aka a Big Fat U*U Story for any of us who care about internet ethics and 2. I think it's fantastic that this gal was outed by The Emerson Avenger back in 2006. It's high time the interwebs "community" came to terms with the fact that free speech has never guaranteed privacy or anonymity. I have zero sympathy for Peacebang aka Vicki The Impaler. She's not a victim, she's a perpetrator. Even though she may have been careful to not commit any actual crimes (such as *really* anally impaling senator Bill Napoli on the Statue of Liberty's torch) she nevertheless victimized, slandered, insulted and degraded various persons of inherent worth and dignity, including U*Us, as a regular practice. She was even given Carte Blanche to do so by the UUA's Congregational Services Director Rev. Dr. Tracey Robinson-Harris and Ministerial Fellowship Committee Executive Secretary Rev. Beth Miller. . . And now that Peacebang's cover has been blown for years, she has to live with the Big Fat U*U Consequences, which include but are by no means limited to this brand spanking new The Emerson Avenger blog post.

Here are some slight reworkings of some of the more pertinent comments that have been posted in response to Peacebang's Facebook "rant" about internet trolls and internet anonymity -

She's been hiding behind white female U*U clergy privilege to perpetrate.

"Religious communities like Unitarian Universalism, which decline because U*U clergy are free to say and do anything they want" -- That sure doesn't sound like community to me. Thanks for the reminder that freedom of the Big Fat U*U Pulpit isn't free. It comes with Big Fat U*U Consequences.

If Peacebang has the right to behave horrendously online under the protection of free speech and the UUA's negligent and complicit MFC, why should The Emerson Avenger not have the right to write about her? How can anyone justify gagging the Emerson Avenger blog posts? Tough shit, Peacebang.

Peacebang is disgusting and appalling and truly atrocious.

Trolling is one thing; stepping right to the line that separates illegal from not is not trolling. I am disturbed by the Big Fat U*U Sodomy Fantasy Peacebang posted and even more disturbed by the number of U*U nitwits that encouraged and supported her in the name of "The U*U Movement".

These people need to read the First Amendment and see what it says. It protects you from the government squelching your free speech. It does not protect you from the consequences of your free speech from other people such as The Emerson Avenger for example. . .

There are plenty who think that being an obnoxious, anonymous, and disrespectful child is something other than mean and toxic.

100% agree. I've been a BB admin from the olden dayse (sic), and trolls are a constant feature/bug. The Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations is not a goivernment (sic) actor bound by the 1st Amendment -- they can and should do what is needed to ensure that a Unitarian Universalist minister who they fellowship doesn't offer toxic levels of hate.
