Is Rev. Tom Schade A Big Fat U*U Liar?

In a blog post entitled 'How Religious Liberalism does:' Rev. Tom Schade, the 11th Minister of the First Unitarian Church of Worcester, pretends that religious liberals do not demonize other people. In fact Rev. Schade concludes his highly questionable The Lively Tradition blog post by asserting that:

"There is no need ever to demonize and disparage people who need help.

When people do things that seem irrational, or selfish, or dangerous, respect demands that you try to find out why, with some sympathy. People are worthy of respect.

Religious liberals don't demonize; we humanize. It's how we do."

Without further ado, here is the comment that I submitted in response to Rev. Schade's words -

Religious liberals, including U*U clergy and top level UUA leaders, quite regularly demonize and disparage persons of inherent worth and dignity and, what's more, you know it Tom. This "less than honest" blog post of your's is disingenuous at best and outright fraudulent at worst. And, one more time for good measure, you know it. . .

end quote

I dare say that Rev. Tom Schade just went on The Emerson Avenger's "Eat Your Words"  Diet for Hallowe'en 2012. . .

Religious liberals don't demonize; we humanize. It's how we do.

Religious liberals don't demonize; we humanize. It's how we do.

Religious liberals don't demonize; we humanize. It's how we do.

Religious liberals don't demonize; we humanize. It's how we do.

Religious liberals don't demonize; we humanize. It's how we do.

Religious liberals don't demonize; we humanize. It's how we do.

yadda, yadda, yadda ad nauseum. . .
