Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors Defamation Lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe Has Had To Deal With Canada's Blasphemy Law For Almost Five Years Now. . .

Just saying. . .

In this comment that I posted in response to

Canada’s strangest laws: From witchcraft to blasphemy to sleigh bells

We should all be sure not to commit blasphemous libel, since it’s against the law. But what is blasphemous libel? The Criminal Code doesn’t say.

Is it libel, with characteristics of blasphemy? Is it blasphemy, with characteristics of libel?

“I can’t tell you what it is,” (Ottawa lawyer Michael Spratt) says. “No lawyer alive today has had to deal with it.”

Wrong. . .

The Unitarian Universalist Association's Canadian attorney, Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe, has had to deal with the "fallout" from falsely accusing Yours Truly of the archaic criminal act of "blasphemous libel" in UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up legal bullying that attempted to conceal "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers" from the public. Maitre Coulombe falsely accused me of committing "blasphemous libel" in an arrogant and aggressive cease and desist demand letter dated May 29, 2012, which arrived in my email inbox on Friday June 1st, 2012, and which I was letter served the "hard copy" of by a Montreal bailiff. The second page of that letter, in which the accusation of blasphemous libel was made, may be seen in this The Emerson Avenger blog post. What a unique honour and privilege it is to stand accused of "blasphemous libel" in 21st century Canada by Atheist Unitarians. . . LOL!
