Is Reverend Daniel Harper Yet Another Unitarian Universalist Child Sex Abuse Cover-Up Enabler?
Just asking. . .
In this comment that I posted in response to the 'A history of UU clergy sexual misconduct' blog post on the Reverend Daniel Harper's 'Yet Another Unitarian Universalist' blog:
"The email prioritized a powerful minister who had self-reported as guilty of misconduct, giving him access to a powerful communication channel for his own apologia. It is unclear whether the people who had been harmed by Shelton’s abuse of power received notice or the opportunity to give feedback before the email was sent.
*Lammert’s comments in her preface to Shelton’s message also explicitly advocate secrecy: “ask you not copy or forward this email”.172*
Rev. Deborah Pope-Lance said it was “unprecedented...It struck me as regrettably wrong in so many ways”.173
If only Rev. Deborah Pope-Lance had said that the brazen bald faced lie about child sex abuse committed by UUA clergy (to say nothing of UUA Religious Educators. . .) that "less than ethical" UUA Moderator Jim Key aka Risk Management consultant James "See NO Evil" Key told Unitarian Universalists in a "less than honest" UUA Board "official apology" for clergy sexual misconduct during his first Moderator's Report during the 2014 UUA GA, was unprecedented and struck her as regrettably wrong in so many ways, in 2014, or even 2015.
Sadly, Rev. Deborah Pope-Lance, Rev. Gail Seavey, and pretty much every other UUA minister who knows about these UUA "gaffes" are guilty of silence that is shamefully complicit in UUA child sex abuse cover-up and denial.
And yes. . . that includes you "Reverend" Daniel Harper.
Let's see if you can dredge up the moral and ethical integrity required to blog about these shameful examples of UUA child sex abuse cover-up and denial before Groundhog Day. . .
