Are Unitarian Universalists Fluffy And "Less Than Rational"? Is Classical Unitarian Christianity Corpse-Cold Unitarian Dead In The U*U World?
Someone going by the pseudonym Thesauros seems to think so in a comment posted to the 'Classical Unitarian Christianity' post of former Christian U*U seminarian Shawn Anthony's Lo-Fi Tribe blog.
Here is the comment that I submitted in response to Thesauros' assessment of contemporary Unitarian*Universalists aka U*Us -

I would have to say that too many of today’s Unitarian*Universalists aka U*Us are indeed remarkably irrational, if not outright delusional, however the fluffiness of the U*Us is greatly exaggerated. U*Us can be very nasty when they choose to be and rather too many do choose to be “less than fluffy” as this U*UTube video of the Totalitarian Unitarian “Citizen’s Police Officer” U*U COP clearly shows. . . It seems that the days when Unitarianism and Reason were quite synonymous are on their way out, if not corpse-cold Unitarian dead. FWIW There seem to be very few “classical” Christian Unitarians, or indeed Christian Universalists, remaining in The U*U Movement these days. I know for a fact that the UUA lost several Christian U*U seminarians in the last couple of years because they felt “less than welcome” within the U*U fold.
