Thomas Paine Joins The RevolU*Ution! Unitarian*Universalists Should Lead, Follow, Or Get Out Of The Way When It Comes To Co-Operating With God. . .
Boston Unitarian posted the conclusion of a Rev. Henry Wilder Foote sermon today.
The concluding paragraph of that sermon said the following -
"The only solution is the double truth: that God has not finished but is still making His world; and that He does not work in this alone, but calls for the co-operation of man and nature with Him."
This brought to *my* mind Thomas Paine's famous saying -
"Lead, follow, or get out of the way."
Here is the comment that I submitted for Boston Unitarian's consideration as to whether or not to post it to his "moderated" Unitarian blog. To post or not to post, *that* is the question. . .
It would be nice if Unitarian*Universalists tried a little harder to co-operate with God. To quote Thomas Paine, U*Us need to lead, follow, or get out of the way when it comes to co-operating with God but all too often U*Us are in the way these days. . .
