Rev. Anthony David Senior Minister Of The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta Inadvertently Kicks Xenophobic Scapegoating U*Us In The Balls
In the following assertion gleaned from the 'Love Marches in Georgia Against Anti-Immigrant Legislation' post of the Standing On The Side Of Love campaign's blog -
"There’s always been suspicion towards so-called outsiders," he said, "a pattern of fear in which the Golden Rule gets thrown out on its ear, and some group living among us becomes. . . a convenient scapegoat for problems that are bigger than any one group, problems that come from centers of power."
The preamble said - Rev. Anthony David, senior minister, wearing his ministerial collar, spoke at the rally following the march, asking policy makers in Georgia and those who will be asked to enforce the law to remember the universal Golden Rule of doing unto *others* what we would have done unto us.
I wonder if Rev. Anthony David, would be so kind as to ask policy makers at 25 Beacon Street in Boston, and those who are supposed to enforce U*U bylaws (but often fail or refuse to do so. . .), to remember the universal Golden Rule of doing unto others what Unitarian*Universalist U*Us would have done unto themselves.
*Others* like victims of U*U anti-religious bigotry.
*Others* like victims of U*U anti-Christian bigotry.
*Others* like victims of U*U anti-Pagan bigotry.
*Others* like victims of U*U anti-Republican bigotry.
*Others* like victims of U*U clergy misconduct of ALL kinds.
etc. etc.
Other*wise The Emerson Avenger will be obliged to continue to do unto intolerant and abusive Unitarian*Universalist U*Us as they so hypocritically do unto *others*. . .
